A Sci-Fi movie with a great message

A great story and one that leaves you thinking about how we treat each other long after the movie is over. The movie is well made. The documentary-style editing adds realism and a sense of being there in the story. You get to really know the main character and our hero has his flaws exposed without pretense but with his genuine gut reactions. The only complaint I have with District 9 is the usual stereotypical bad guys whose motives/actions are all to easy to figure out. There is more than enough action to satisfy those who are just looking for a fun, exciting sci-fi movie. What's great is there is so much more to District 9 than what meets the eye!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Superb movie with just the right pacing. The lighting, camera angles, editing all first rate. The soundtrack works beautifully with the film. The non-stop action of the Order of the Phoenix is not to be found here, but rather, well thought through plot development that makes the action that much more intense and well, just plain fun! Well placed humor and laughs offset the otherwise dark mood (in a good way, mind you) of the film. Great movie!! I only wish that book 7 were not split into 2 parts and having things drag out (in release time for the movies, that is).

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen--IMAX

Fast, fun...exciting and it just doesn't let up. I'm not sure I liked the 'twins' so much but that's the only possible flaw (and it's tiny!). Loved the big screen and the amazing sound. Go see this for the fun and adventure. A solid follow-up to the original and I'm already ready for the next in the series! I'll see this one again!!

Excellent! Well directed, edited, scripted, cast, and presented! See it in IMAX to get the full experience! This movie will appeal to long-time fans or newcomers equally. Exceptional special effects that don't take over the movie. It's a pure fun and a thrill ride.
