A definite must see. New Moon followed the first Twilight movie flawlessly but definitely had its own theme. It keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way to the end and leaves you wanting more; wishing you didn't have to wait so long for Eclipse to come to theaters.

Great pace with good balance between the softer side and edge of the seat action. Locations are brilliant. Introduces new plot elements to keep the novelty flowing.
The audience this time round is older and less dominated by swooning teen girls. In this context some of the "serious" bits get laughter. This didn't bother me but may interrupt the mood for die hard fans.

I thought the movie was good overall having not read any of the books. It was slow at times but as it went on got better & better. Parents just explain to your daughters that they should not use people emotionally as Bella did Jacob. Bad Bella : )

I thought the movie was so much better than twilight. For me, twilight was good but bland and the color was dull. New Moon was bright and exciting. The actors did a much better job portraying their characters in this one. I thought it went along with the book perfectly, and really capture the integrity of the book. And they even interpreted some parts better than i would have expected. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to see it again!!!!!!

Better than Twilight. More action and the characters seemed more relaxed and not as stiff as in the last movie. Humor added helped ease up on the teenage woe that we all expected. The effects of the wolves were decent, but not super. The Volturi fight scene (though not in the book) was an added plus. Of course, the actors steal the show just by being good looking and they all played their parts well (good casting). The movie is good for teens with all the usual emotional stuff without the outright sexuality that we see sometimes. The ending was a perfect way to end and get everyone anticipating the next movie, Eclipse.

I know I am a cheater...I never read the books...who has time? But, I went ahead and saw Twilight. What a lame and boring movie. But, with all the hype of New Moon and the promise to be so much better, I just had to see it. I even took my 10 year old son who insisted vampires and werewolves were what tween boys are totally into. To my surprise the movie greatly exceeded my expectations. The actors were much better this time. The special effects were quite good, although I have never seen, in ANY movie or wildest dream, a werewolf of that size.
I will definitely see the next movie when it comes out and I guess my son will be coming along. FYI...there were no bad words or uncomfortable "naughty" scenes.

I loved the first Twilight movie, and New Moon was even better. It had me clutching my popcorn in suspense nearly the entire movie! Wonderful direction and amazing action. Definitely a movie to watch again and again. :)

Catherine Hardwick did a MUCH better job with Twilight than this new director did with New Moon. My theory is that guys just don't get it like us girls do, which is why he was unable to compete (as a director for a sequel) with the first movie. That being said, it was still a good movie, but left WAY too much of the book out! And most of all, the whole ending of the movie is NOTHING at all like the ending in the book!! The make-up and eyes for the Cullens was HORRIBLE and cheesy compared to Twilight, it looked like they put in banana colored contacts for New Moon- it was too fake. The werewolves are pretty cool, but yet again- too much of the story is left out pertaining to the Quilettes.

The movie was amazing! It did however leave out lots from the book. The relationship with Jacob seemed rushed, so you didn't really get a sense of close they had really become. And of course the ending was lacking. If they would just make the movie longer and stay completely true to the book everything would be better!

Movie was overall good - left some very interesting parts out from the book, but considering they crammed the entire book into just over 2 hours it was really good - love Dakota Fanning as Jane thought she played the character well. Also thought the new director did a really good job - liked his perspective better than the first director, Also acting in this movie was much improved over the last movie

This was a good movie. It wasn't as good as Twiglight, but still good. There was not enough "vampire" type of action. The movie was based on Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart's characters. The 2 hours seemed to go by pretty fast and was able to hold all that sprite I drank in til the end. From what I understand a lot was taken out of both movies compared to the books. I really think they should've made a weekly series on these books so that we get more out of the books. I would see this movie at least a week after it's been out to avoid the ear piercing screems from all the girls in the theater.

I thought it was good, but not as good as Twilight.
Jake is not realistic as a boyfriend because he seems so young compared to Edward. Also I felt the makeup artist did poorly unless they meant for it to look like the vampires just had white makeup globbed on. Overall, I still enjoyed it, it just didn't meet my expectations after all the hype. Anxious to see #3.

I LOVED this movie both times I saw it. It of course was better the second time, because I was not sitting their wondering if they were going to cut my favorite parts from the book. One of my biggest complaints about the movie, "Twiilght", was that all of the bantering and humor between Bella and Edward was almost completely gone from the script. Thankfully, they realized this was a big mistake, and brought the humor back to New Moon. The cinematography was absolutely breathtaking, and Bella and Edwards reunion was all that I hoped it would be. Bravo to a job VERY well done!

Okay, first off let me say that I've read all four books and definitely enjoyed the movie! I felt like the movie was too short for the book. It seemed like the director was force to place important events in the book in scenes that were back-to-back, in order to tell the whole story in less than 2 hours. In doing so, a lot of background info and details were left out, things that would've made it feel more like a retelling of the story and not a "cliff notes" version of the book. Overall, the actors were good for a low budget film (Kristen did an amazing job) and the settings were beautiful!

In my opinion, New Moon was much better than Twilight, at least when it comes to movie terms. I wasn't happen with how Twilight had toooo many differences with the actual book. But New Moon is much better. and yes Edward is not in the movie much. but if you had read the book before seeing the movie, you would have already known that. So for those of you who call yourselves Twilight fans and haven't read the books, then you are NOT Twilight fans.I just found it hiliarious that people saw the movie and are like "Edward's barely in it." It's obvious that they hadn't read the book. But overall, New Moon was much better than Twilight. But the books will always be better than the movies.

This one is so much better than the first! It stays true to the book and includes the sarcasm between the characters that was sadly lacking last time. The costumes and wigs were pretty bad- but the make-up and special effects were much less cheesy! Can't wait for the next one!

i'm a big fan of the twilight series and have read the books many times so having said that, i was able to pin point every thing that they changed in the movie which wasn't much! the movie was awesome, it kept true to the books and the actors did a fantastic job. I was expecting more, some of the book was missing. Yet it was still very entertaining. I do wish that Bella would have been able to show a little more feeling, i know she was in shock when Edward left. It would of made things a little more emotional with some tears. I am pro Edward and Jacob, it is too hard to choose when they are soo hot and attractive. I hope the best for them in the next movie 'Eclipse.'

Overall this movie was fantastic! The director and screen writer stayed colse to the books which was a plus, considering how awful the first movie was. This movie is not only for screaming fangirls but for guys too. The movie had a few funny scenes a few scenes where you just wanna throw popcorn and few scenes that just wanna make you cry. Overall the Movie was great, but like my title says i didnt get the true emotions i did when readingthe book. The emotions when Edward left and when they reunite were so much stronger to me in the books than in the movie... But i do have to admit it is a one heck of movie that im sure to see again.
