Catherine Hardwick did a MUCH better job with Twilight than this new director did with New Moon. My theory is that guys just don't get it like us girls do, which is why he was unable to compete (as a director for a sequel) with the first movie. That being said, it was still a good movie, but left WAY too much of the book out! And most of all, the whole ending of the movie is NOTHING at all like the ending in the book!! The make-up and eyes for the Cullens was HORRIBLE and cheesy compared to Twilight, it looked like they put in banana colored contacts for New Moon- it was too fake. The werewolves are pretty cool, but yet again- too much of the story is left out pertaining to the Quilettes.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
