Watching Bella and Jacob's relationship grow onscreen brought to life the characters from the book. I was disappointed that the risks Alice and Bella underwent to save Edward at the end of the movie were never mentioned. Overall, the movie kept the viewer captivated.
One drawback . . . Eclipse doesn't hit the big screen until June 30th. Can't wait to see Eclipse.

not a terrible movie tho really hated the slo-mo scenes - corny. Then, it seemed like R Pat thought a wrinkled brow was the extent of the acting required to show emotional pain. Not convincing. Perhaps it is not entirely his fault, as the directing seemed to be focused almost entirely on garnering squeals from the tweens. I gave it 3 stars because it IS supposed to be a tween/teen angst fest, but not more because it was handled fairly poorly -- I've seen so many teen movies where the acting, direction, realness of the emotional content, etc were far, far better. Too bad: the book had me weeping at times for Bella's plight. The movie was just a little dull instead. Not good.

Props to Chris Weitz!!!! He did such an amazing job sticking to the book and making the movie awesome! This was not my favorite book of the series but very well may be my favorite movie. The special effects are so much better and the lighting is improved 100 fold. I really hope they keep the same director for Eclipse. Overall fantastic movie!

This movie was amazing! It followed the book better than Twilight did, but still made a few changes so that those who've never read the books would be able to follow along and know what's going on. I will definately see this movie again in the theaters at least once and will buy it on DVD when it comes out.

Overall I really liked the movie. The relationship between Jacob and Bella could have been explored a little more. I didn't like the ending...I'm all for cliff hangers but come on. Bella and Edward's reunion could have been better in my opinion...the scene in her room (in the book) where he explains why he left etc. the movie did not do it justice. But overall I really liked it and will most definitely see it again.

I normally would not be interested in vampires but this movie's portrayal makes them more human and vulnerable.
This movie was tastfully done by the actors and I was impressed with the movie including Native Americans, their performance was outstanding. This movie earns a 5 Star.

The movie was really good despite that it is so rushed. I watched it twice. I believe the acting in New Moon was a lot better than in Twilight. The movie is very closely related to the book! The ending wasn't that great, but overall a good movie. Now I can't wait for Eclipse!

I liked this movie even more than the first! I thought I wouldn't like it as much since I didn't like the book all that much. To be honest, I didn't even notice Edward was gone because Jacob is so good looking! It was a very very good movie and I highly recommend this movie!

I liked that there was a lot of dialogue taken directly from the book, though it was out of context at some points. They also left a ton out, some things that were important to the story. I also HATED the ending!!! Not a good way to end the movie!!

Me and my 13 year old daughter went to see it, we both read the whole book series, twice, and we were looking forward to it. But both of us were very disappointed, you couldn't tell from seing the movies, what the books were about, emotions, relationships, compashion etc...
This movie was done by a different director and with much larger budget, I'm not sure if the director even read the books. We will not buy the DVD, maybe just read the books, again.

I usually hate movies after I have read the book...but this one delivered. Great way to make all fans happy...we like jacob but love edward, and yet still sad when jacob gets pushed aside. Extremely well done. Great job on the werewolves! No cheeziness! Loved it!

I don't really like love stories but my daughter wanted someone to go see this movie with her. I like vampire/werewolf movies but this had too much sappy love in it for me. I would have liked it more if there had been more of the fighing in it. I'm told that the next movie will have more of the vampire verus werewolf so maybe I will go see it. If you're into sappy love stories then this is the movie for you.

I rarely say that a movie is better than a book. In this case the movie was better than the book. Of the series, New Moon was my least favorite. Stewart and Lautner did an amazing job making me like both characters. New Moon blew the wind in my sails again and made me pick up the books and start reading again. I can't wait for Eclipse to come out!

I thought this was a better movie than Twilight, but i don't imagine myself watching it as many times as I watched Twilight. I thought K. Stewart's acting was better. Jacob looked great. I loved how they did the October/November/December time passing like in the book. I loved how it ended. It seemed like less action than the first and more talking. The wolves looked cool.. Oh and my 10 year old saw it and it was ok for him. I only covered his eyes during one part with the Volturi.

New Moon exceeded all of my expectations. The second the movie started, I was drawn into the characters hardships and felt as if I were one of them. The wolves looked completely real in the entire transformation. All of the quick movements and effects from each side of the story were very believable. The color of the vampires eyes and some of their hair color had changed and I did not care so much for that. It was still a terrific movie and I want to see it again and again.

This was a sequel but not a sequel it stands in its own rights as a movie. Stephanie Meyer has created characters that keep evolving.
Bella has matured and made life decisions for herself. Edward is so in love with her he would do anything to protect her.
Can't wait for the third movie.
Excellent Acting, directing, effects.
Overall a very good movie enjoyed by all in our sold out show.
