Nothing compare to the book

Me and my 13 year old daughter went to see it, we both read the whole book series, twice, and we were looking forward to it. But both of us were very disappointed, you couldn't tell from seing the movies, what the books were about, emotions, relationships, compashion etc...
This movie was done by a different director and with much larger budget, I'm not sure if the director even read the books. We will not buy the DVD, maybe just read the books, again.
