I was pleased that the book was closely followed; much better than Twilight. I also enjoyed the humor in the movie. I laughed out loud numerous times. What bothered me the most was the cheesy music during the intense Bella/Jacob scenes. Way too sappy. The scene where Edward and Bella were running through the forest was super funny, and not in a good way. Our whole audience busted up laughing. All in all I enjoyed it, but won't be going back numerous times like I did with the first. I can wait for DVD.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good how good this new movie was in comparison to the first one. I like the way the wolves were incorporated into the new storyline. I wish I saw more of the Cullen family members, but maybe next time..

This movie was well worth being tired at work the next day. They did a much better job with New Moon than the did with Twilight. Would go see Eclipse when it comes out.

I saw this movie with my 14-year-old daughter and her two friends. It was an engaging movie, which kept pretty close to the book, and I would recommend it as a very entertaining way to spend a few hours. If you don't want to hear teenage girls go crazy every time Jacob takes off his shirt [which is quite a lot], you should wait to see it on dvd.

I had looked so forward to the release of New Moon that I was afraid of being disappointed, but it far exceeded my expectations. I actually liked the movie better than the book, but I think it was because I knew what was coming and I wasn't quite as heartbroken when Edward left as I was when reading the book. The movie followed the book very nicely and all of the emotions were perfectly caputured. I love Jacob and feel for him when Bella breaks his heart, but there is only one Edward and that's the only real choice Bella can make. The wolves were great, as was the fight scene with the Volturi. Great show and I plan to see it many more times. My local paper said it was cheesy, but I didn't see anything chessy about it.

New Moon was WAY better than Twilight! It had a lot more interaction between characters instead of monologues. The special effects of the werewolf were pretty cool!

I've read all the books as have most of us that wait for the movies to come out (some more than once). I have to say this movie did not disappoint. Yes, Jacob is beautiful, Edward & Bella are convincing, the family is all that you expect and more. Every character fits just as you would imagine, right down to Dakota Fanning. It convinces you and delights you and makes you feel all emotions as you go thru the scenes with these characters. Kudos to the cast, the writer and the film makers - the seven in my group say - you made our day! Waiting impatiently for the next as I'm sure it just gets better & better. Reading the book just makes it more exciting, you catch the little things that you found in the book, or maybe you missed them there.

As a huge fan of the book series, I was disappointed in Twilight, so I tried not to get my hopes up too high for New Moon. But this movie was way better than I expected, and I want to go see it again! I really hope Eclipse can live up to it. Now I'm going to go re-read the series while I wait.

The movie was very detailed and great. I love how the scenes stuck to the book, such as the transformation of Jacob, the scene of the group of people that were brought to their doom by the volturi. Also, I like how it included Bella's nightmare. The movie started and ended the same way the book did, so it was really good.

First, I have read all 4 books in the series twice. Both movies were what I consider to be true to the novel. I take each movie for what it brings and this one was thoroughly enjoyable. I felt that it brought to light all of the key elements that made the book enjoyable and interesting. Due to the characters in the movie matching so well to the ones in the book, it made for an excellent fit. This movie transitioned well from the first and set up the third as well. Great film. Look forward to the Blu-ray DVD in the future. Last word: Go watch it!

If you liked the first Twilight or even if you didn't, you should give New Moon a chance. Yes, there is a girl torn in a love triangle, but when you throw werewolves and vampires into it it intrigues even the guys out there. Yes your girl will be gaga about on of the two leading males or maybe both but there is enough cool special effects and did I mention, there is vampires and werewolves!!!! Go see it. It's not on top of the box office charts for no reason. It's really really good.

I loved New Moon. My only complaint is that I would have liked the movie to be longer so that more of the story could have been shown. If people will sit through a 3 hour Harry Potter movie, then I have no doubt that people would sit through a 3 hour Twilight movie.

I've read the four books in the saga. New Moon (the movie) was pretty true to the book. There were details not in the movie (mainly what circumstances created the pack and why they shifts into wolf form but reading the book would provide that information). Keep in mind, there's only so much time for a movie so combining the book with the movie will provide a much better experience. I thought the wolves were a bit huge and whatever was used to create the images was not really smoothe.

This movie couldn't have been better. Being the second in the series, I wondered if it could keep up with the first one. It did that and then some. I saw it on opening day, and have already gone back and saw it again. It's incredible!! Lautner, Stewart and Pattison, are excellent. Can't wait for Eclipse! This movie represented the book in the best possible way, my appreciation to Summit and all the actors.

I read all the Twilight Books so it's hard to be objective about the movies since they are kind of abbreviations of the books. I liked the originality of the first movie--kind of a cult classic feel. I thought it was true to the book and even though it was a little awkward at times I really enjoyed it. The style of this film was very different from the first. I'm sure it was challenging trying to capture the story of New Moon in two hours--I felt like it rushed through some important parts of the book. Nevertheless I still enjoyed the story, the characters, and thought the acting was really well done.

I think that this was much better than Twilight. The shirtless scenes and fighting scenes were the best. I didn't want it to end. Im counting down till Eclipse comes out. I loved it :)

Went to see it because I promised my fiance but it was just a teenyboppers dream. I knew what I was getting into but from the previews I thought there might be some action, which there was, but in short spastic increments. If you're a female between 12-30 you'll probably love it. If you're a male between birth and 80 and want a vampire werewolf kick, stay home and watch Underworld again.

It met my expectations and more. I'm a die hard fan of the book series. Liked it so much I'm going to see it one more time because it seems forever until the DVD will come out. i absolutely loved the books, so of course i wasn't expecting it to be as good. but they did an excellent job with new moon. much better than they did with twilight. the special effects were alot better, especially with the wolves. very well done. the vampires look a little TOO white to me, and their eyes are exagerated a bit. i feel for them to blend into society, they need to tone it down a bit. but overall, this was a FANTASTIC movie, especially the fact that jacob didn't have a shirt on for most of it. :)

New Moon is an excellent movie. They did a much better job in all aspects in comparison to Twilight, though I loved that movie as well. The acting, special effects and all facets of directing were done much better. I highly reccommend this movie! I think they did a wonderful job bringing a book to the big screen-which is not always done well. They captured the feeling of the book. The actors did an even better job this time around as well. Can't wait for Eclipse!! :)

This movie did a good job of keeping up with the book. Secondly, Jacob was hot. All that weight lifting has paid off for Taylor! The only thing that I didn't care for were the constant shots that just showed their faces. I realize that this installment is all about the emotion, but it go a little old.

I have to admit I wasn't too impressed with the first movie of The Twilight Saga. The second one however has changed my mind! My heart broke right along with Bella's when she picked Edward! Is it too much to ask for both? The character development and graphics in this movie were amazing! I was worried this franchise was dead in the water, but I was definitely wrong and I can't wait for the Eclipse!
