Spoiler alert - The movie was good as far as cinematography/mood goes. I wanted more of the wolves though! I wanted to be scared of them at first and I wasn't. Also, there was no build up for the Italy trip...it was like all of a sudden "We're on our way to Italy and we're there." and then I see Bella's angst and struggle while crossing the square, but I didn't FEEL it WITH her, since there was no real build up to that part. but over all a good movie. And like the other reviewer, can't wait to go see it with a quiter audience. :) Don't add your own soundtrack!

This movie was everything I expected it to be and more! It was absolutely wonderful. The characters do an excellent job in making you feel as if you know whats going on w/o them even having to say a word! Amazing!

This was a good movie but it lacked action. I found it rather slow at times and Edward's moodiness was really a downer, overall a good movie but i hope the next has more action.

You know - they can't ever be as good as the book - but they did an amazing job sticking to the story! I will pay to see this one (New Moon) in the theatre again before I am able to buy it on DVD. I would definitely recommend it to any hopeless romantic or someone looking for a good action packed love story!

Better than the first, Twilight.
Amazingly, New Moon had the opportunity to be rather beautiful, but left me wanting more from the main chars... there was a lot of bad acting (if any at all) and I didn't care for the script.
The music choice was atrocious. I understand that the music used for the film is trying to give off the cool, offbeat, indie vibe.. but its not working. I wanted to claw my ears off at few points because the music felt and sounded so inappropriate for the scene.
With these Twilight Saga movies making as much money as they do I quite honestly expected more.
The best scene? The opening 'New Moon' sequence, the "moon" was kind of slow moving, but together the visuals and music were breathtaking.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I am a "Twi-hard", as the media puts it, and adore the books. I was pleasantly surprised that New Moon followed the book more closely than Twilight. Even if you are not a Twilight Saga fan, to see the acting and emotion put together--it does touch the heart. Twilight fan or not, Team Jacob or Edward--it's an entertaining movie to see!

Having a different director really showed. New Moon is not as dark and brooding as Twilight. There was more humoros monents. You'd expect that with Jacob but they pop up at other times. Kristen Stewert acting has improved.
The score was terrible! Not the songs but the background music. It was generic and trite. The swelling of violins during the love sceens and intense moments was distracting. It sounded like it should have been in a movie in the 11970's. It took away from the movie BIG TIME.

The chemistry between Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart is as strong as any that has ever hit the silver screen. It is truly a thrill to watch them together. The fact that they were apart for much of the film only made their moments together more memorable and thrilling.
These two actors were born to play these roles and they remain by far the most compelling elements of the Twilight films.
Taylor Lautner did a good job, as well. And the supporting actors are all terrific. Dakota Fanning was perfect in her role.
But, again it's all about Robsten!
I truly loved it and can't wait for Eclipse!

It was okay, that's pretty much all to be said about this movie. Better than "Twilight" movie and better than the books, but still not that great.
The characters are more likeable on screen Jacob was the true standout in the movie, soaring well beyond Edward's signature "look away and look troubled" method of acting.
Bella was alright, but did her character no favors with the rough transition between "Jake-boy you mah everything!" to "Whatever, where is my E-dog?".
Volturi were a joke with the exception of Jane, who has potential.
Overall, very okay, at moments beautiful shots and angles at other times, boring dialogue.
Mainly, I just saw it so I could make fun of it more effectly...

Being a fairly new "Twilight" fan, I was quite psyched to see this film...Have only read the first two books so far...I stopped with "New Moon" on purpose to extend the pleasure of both book & movie.
As far as the latest film in the series and without giving up anything for those who haven't seen it yet, it stayed quite true to the written word and for me drew me in that much more. I look forward to continuing with Edward, Bella, and Jacob on their journey...And oh yeah...Go Team Edward! What can I say, I'm a sucker for Vampires...

I think the anticipation might have hurt a little....Im a huge book fan and while it was a very good movie, it left out so much, which is understandable. Im excited to see it again with out silly teenagers talking thoughout the whole thing!

Okay, I'm not even a huge Twilight Saga fan but WOW! That movie was amazing. My friends and I loved it so much we are probably going to see it again in about a week. This was my first time watching anything of this series and I was hooked!! Jake was amazing, and I love the way Edward kept his cool, calm, collective attitude! I do wish the movie had more of a storyline/plot with Victoria, that kinda left me hanging, maybe because i'm new to the series? I don't know, but by the end of the movie I was hooked!! I told my daughter who reminded me that we bought the first movie of the series..Twilight that I'm definitely going to have to watch it!! And I cannot wait for the next installment of this series to come to the big screen.
