This movie was far better than Twilight. I enjoyed every minute of it from start to finish. I know that it is hard to put every thing into a 2 hour movie but the director did a great job. Even changing a few of the scenes to make the movie more exciting did not ruin the concept of the books.

There was a lot of time put into special effects, but it was a little too over-the-top... eyes that actually glow red and are startlingly amber... the wolves...just a little too much on the CGI stuff. The first movie was more subtle, what I'd expect for these books. Also, how does a vampire survive if his eyes glow loke that? The pace was good and I loved some of the camera angles they used. This one was obviously directed by a man, where the last one, I believe, was directed by a woman. More of an adrenaline feast, though the book had some more of that than the last, too. Entertaining, but I wouldn't tell my friends they need to see it in the theater.

A lot more action than Twilight, I thought. And shirtless guys, which is a plus. Some of the humor between the high schoolers seemed like the writers were trying too hard, but overall the acting was good. Taylor Lautner did a GREAT job stepping up his role! NEW MOON WAS EXCELLENT!

I absolutely loved it. I thought it was better than the first and as good as the New Moon book. I know that's saying a lot, but I just couldn't wipe the smile off of my face the entire show! It was very exciting seeing it at midnight, and everybody in the theater was cheering and loving it, too. Great movie!

Being caught up in the hype for the movie, I was expecting to be disappointed, but was pleasantly surprised. While knowing a 2 hour movie could not have the detail or depth of the book, I was delighted that the script ran true to the book. The direction was good, with clever opening title scene and a "wait for number 3" ending. I'm looking forward to the next installment.

I'm a big Edward fan but I don't think this movie made him look good and I don't think it convinced anyone who had not read the books that he and Bella belonged together. There wasn't any chemistry between them. The golden eyes were just creepy and prevented the good vampires from showing emotion through their eyes. The makeup and wig on Rosealee was laughable. Jasper's hair style looked like it had been done to match that of a 90 year old woman with teased, curly hair. Who's idea was it for Edward to take off his shirt and show that he didn't have a muscle in his body? OMG that person should be fired!!

New Moon was awesome, it stuck pretty close to the plot of the book which is what I was hoping for, and the graphics, music, and everything was great! the acting was phenomenal, they all truly embodied their characters and portrayed the emotion very well. I love love LOVE Kristen Stewart and she was absolutely STUNNING as Bella! And although, I am all the way an Edward fan, I do have to say I was turned a little bit to team Jacob! MMM, in the rain, shirtless...i'm now a pedophile! haha and I truly felt my heart break for him when he was asking Bella to stay for him..heart wrenching. however....still on team edward! overall, everything was AWESOME and I can't wait to see it again and again!!

I do think New Moon was better than Twilight, however it was still a disappointment. Kristen Stewart did a poor job of conveying how lost Bella was without Edward, and there was not enough interaction with Bella and Jacob for you to feel how important Jacob was to Bella. Also the script was extremely juvenile and left the actors sounding cheesy. However, the scenes with the wolves and Laurent, and between the wolves and Victoria were great. This movie just missed the mark overall, and it is a shame.

I am a teacher who enjoys literature and found the Twilight saga extremely interesting and entertaining. However, upon viewing New Moon, I was completely disappointed. I realize that the entirety of a book of this length cannot be contained in one movie, however, some of the changes made did not seem necessary. Furthermore, I left feeling that a perfectly wonderful book had been slaughtered for the sake of 13 year-old hormones. Teen sexuality, Jacob's in particular, was played up to the point of hilarity and took away from the over-all theme of the story. I cannot believe the author allowed her story to be cheapened in this way. I certainly hope the next one sticks closer to the over-all theme and message of the story.

I am 50-years old and loved the books and the movie was fantastic. I could have set through another 2 hours, adding in more time with Edward and Bella in the beginning and definitely in the end, to see his struggle over his staying or going, because of his selfless love for her.
I would want a love like Edwards, a true love that cares more about Bella than himself. Love Jacob as well, he just hasn't had the time to develop selfless love yet. His time will come.

I really liked New Moon. I thought it was much better than Twilight. New Moon followed the book much better. I was really excited to see New Moon on Friday so I purchased my tickets online but should have still went early to get in line. I was disappointed in many of the people who constantly talked and cheered through the movie, although I kind of expected a little bit of that to happen. The movie was good and I can't wait until Eclipse comes out. I'm not sure if I will see the next movie on opening night though. I will probably wait until Sunday afternoon.
