Disappointing

I am a teacher who enjoys literature and found the Twilight saga extremely interesting and entertaining. However, upon viewing New Moon, I was completely disappointed. I realize that the entirety of a book of this length cannot be contained in one movie, however, some of the changes made did not seem necessary. Furthermore, I left feeling that a perfectly wonderful book had been slaughtered for the sake of 13 year-old hormones. Teen sexuality, Jacob's in particular, was played up to the point of hilarity and took away from the over-all theme of the story. I cannot believe the author allowed her story to be cheapened in this way. I certainly hope the next one sticks closer to the over-all theme and message of the story.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
