Everybody was so worried about a man producing the movie but he did 100 times better than Catherine Hardwick. Bella is actually being herself as in the way she was written. Jacob was played beatuifully by Taylor Lautner who did a better job of acting in this movie than Rob did. The book was actually protrayed so well for once it was like my vision of the book was played.

Have never read the books but saw the first one and now New Moon. Great Movies. Went home and started reading the next book and it takes off right where the movie ended. Can't wait for the next one to come out!

I thought the movie was true to the book. This was my favorite book of the series so I was very pleased they did not try to change the movie! I have always been on "team edward" but I have to say that Taylor did such a great job as Jacob that it almost made me a "team jacob" fan. ALMOST! But I still love Edward!

This movie was amazing. It was true to the book, and very entertaining. The special effects with the wolves were incredible. I loved this movie from start to finish. I cannot wait for Eclipse!!!!!! Also, it helped that the men were real nice to look at. They should have more movies were really hot men are without shirts throughout! 2 Thumbs UP!!!!!!

New Moon is a Must See for Twilight fans. It is true to the book with a few changes that actually make the movie work better. Aro's character is magnificent, as is Dakota Fanning as Jane. Yes, Jacob is really Hot, but I'm still Team Edward - he is worldly, romantic and gorgeous! Regardless of who's camp you're in, you will love this movie!

Went to see it @12:30 am and wish I had been smarter and bought the 12:01 am @ IMAX screen. Sat in 3rd row, but was so worth it. I'll see it again on IMAX screen if they're still showing it there. Definitely better than the first movie- better director, stuck more to the book, but definitely had to condense b/c it's a movie. LOVED it! Great action sequences, loved the wolves! Got kind of "scared" when the wolf came out of the woods!

The movie was not as good as I had expected, given the anticipation and hype. Edward was absent way too long and although Jacob looked quite good in the shirtless scenes, I thought he was way too pouty and demanding of Bella and immature. The chemistry between Bella and Edward was not as palpable in this movie, as in Twilight, and that was disappointing. The end was good and I am expecting more out of Eclipse.

I was pleasantly surprosed. My daughter and I took my Grandaughter and expected to be bored. We all enjoyed it and my Grandaughter loved it. It kept moving so I didn't get bored and the storyline was enjoyable.

This book was sometimes very detailed and I feel with the great special effects and great acting, they really brought it to life. Its amazing what a larger budget can do for a movie. Great job Chris! Although it is one of the darkest of the books, I felt they kept the story moving with the music and great effects. Oh, great job packing on the muscles Jacob! You have come a long way since Sharkboy! My girls loved it!

Lush, sweet, romantic, sexy, humorous and simply, very cool. Very nicely done. Gorgeous photography, good acting, well paced and thought out. It does help if you know the book, though to understand some things.
The music was the only draw back - sometimes, . . .strange. When the music gets notices badly, then there is an issue. The score in the first movie was tremendous, but this was a drawback. The soundtrack songs were also. . . . .strange and distracting.

Awesome job at telling the story. The book is extreemly detailed, yet they were able to portray Stephenie Meyer's book almost exactly. Far superior than the first film. Even if you did not read the books or see the first movie, this is still a MUST SEE!

I think this movie stayed true to the book. The acting of one individual hasn't gotten any better (not going to mention names), but I think it was definitely better than the first.
I am going to see this film again before it hits the shelves and I would recommend it to anyone.

ok so I think that there are only 3 good actors in the entire movie and the dialogue is awful. I came out of that movie wanting the my money back and wanting more for the mental anguish of all the horrible acting. I would say was much better than the first book. The special effects were not as terrible as the first one. This was one of my favorite books in the series and I am a harsh critic of book-to-movies, but I was not upset after this one like usual. There were a few minor plot changes from the book for dramatic effect, but they were not too big and distracting. Overall, a good movie.

The first "Twilight" movie was a mixed bag, with some nice performances but also awkward special effects and less-than-stellar dialogue. "New Moon" remains faithful to the book and again many of the actors, especially those in minor roles, nail their parts. But this time the effects are quite good and used well. The bad guys are sincerely creepy and threatening. Taylor Lautner shows he has some real acting chops and steals several scenes from his more celebrated co-stars. This is a good film worth seeing.
