I am a fan of all the books...I was dissapointed with Twilight but with New Moon I think it was much better and had many things just like in the book. Of course it is never better than the book but this one was a good make....can't wait for Eclipse next summer. Yay!!
By the way, I am a Twilight mom..my daughter started reading the books (she hated reading until she read the Twilight Saga) and got me into reading the books too..

Went to see it with my daughter Saturday and it was better than what I had expected. A few things were different like Bella on the motorcycle with that guy...(What the heck was that?) All in all they stayed with it really well. Everyone in the theater screamed and AHHH'd when Jacob took his shirt off. This is for every die hard fan to see, and not just for the Jacob part... Edward isn't bad shirtless either. LOL!! You won't be disappointed!

I'd actually rate this film more of a 3.5 or 3.8. While it is far superior to the first film, I still felt like it was lacking something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. The special effects were much improved. Kristen Stewart toned down the stuttering a tad, although it was still annoyingly present. The overall coloring of the film and the look of the characters was great. The emoting seemed a little hollow. Not quite desperate enough for me. I didn't have the same emotions watching the movie as I did reading the book. But hey, the books are always better. This movie would probably please newcomers to the hype more so than the devoted followers to the saga.

I love the way that they incorporated more of Edward into this movie. I wasn't sure what to expect considering Edward is absent in almost the entire New Moon book. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see more of him in the movie! He is a beautiful speciman of a man! I warned my husband that if I ever meet Robert in person, that we're done! Ha! (Just kidding, but I'd still love to meet him!).

Better visually than twilight;impressed by wolves. Pleasantly surprised by the acting of taylor ;no getting through the last scene without wanting more. Didn't love the screaming/yelling out comments of fans in the theater either Interesting that many of the clips that were shared prior to the release were slightly different than final version or completely left out; not saying that it's a bad thing They shared most of the movie online, definately a mistake. Overall, much better directing; can't wait for Eclipse! bonus ;preview of Rob P's next movie

The movie in and of itself was a good movie, but I have read the books and it's always hard for a movie to live up to the world you've created in your head. Taylor was wonderful as Jacob. He actually made me like the character better. The ending was really bad in opinion. We'll see how the next movie goes.

I was very glad to see this movie followed the book a lot closer than the last. However, in the words of Elvis, A little less conversation, a little more action! I was actually kinda bored, and annoyed by the screaming tweens that took over the theater. But overall I think it was good, and I'll continue being a Twilight fan!

New Moon was my favorite book, no matter what anyone tries to tell me. This movie made it even more amazing for me. It was my vision of the movie on the screen for me to watch. I went to the midnight show and then saw it again on the 22nd, and I plan to see it AGAIN!! You will not be disappointed. This movie put Twilight to shame. Sorry Hardwick but I hope you don't come back. THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING, spot on, and left me wanting more. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.:D

You will never come close to appreciating the movies if you haven't read the books. Catherine Hardwicke had a much edgier take on the story, I thought Twilight was well done. The director of New Moon is obviously a more traditional film director. Jacob's character was played to perfection, and Taylor should be proud, it was definitely his movie! Kristen's performance definitely needs a little more emotion..the build up at the fountain, should have been one of the biggest adrenaline rushes in the film... it was a bit of a let down. I still loved the film! Looking forward to Eclipse! Director for Breaking Dawn is going to have to be someone with great talent, vision and emotional connection, to pull that one off well !!

Great job with the movie. Fans will really enjoy this alot. The added action scenes are amazing and the special effects were fantastic.
I give it a 5 stars for fans and a 3 for non-fans therefore averaging a 4.
Rob P's acting was so much better this movie. Kristen's acting is still MUCH to be desired!!! I think we counted 3, maybe 4, emotions for her. Taylor's was ok. I think the directing helped the actors alot too.
Will definetly see again, and again, and again.

I had high hopes for this movie, but after being disappointed with the first Twilight movie of the series, I wasn't sure how good this one would be.
Let me tell you...I LOVED this movie! The special effects were great, and the acting was much better. I felt like the movie also stuck to the book well too!

I liked New Moon a lot. It stuck to the plot of the book very well and I think it would be good even if you did not read the books. I thought they could have done better on the special effects, particularly the werewolf morphing and the wolves themselves. They looked waaay too fake in my opinion. Also, other than the incredibly buff Jacob, the other werewolves were too soft and wimpy when in human form. Not physical enough, and not imposing enough as compared to how they were described in the books.

As a man who has not read the books I can only describe the film as OK. Some interesting scenes but it mostly felt disjointed as I could not fill in the blanks in the story telling as to the motivate of the main character. Also it was hard to ignore some of the sophomoric film mistakes like the white makeup on faces but not on necks, and unintended makeup transfers after hugs and such that showed up blatantly in CU shots. Also the meadow scene shows flowers strew about in a very plastic way. You think they could have dome better for such a pivotal scene. It seems like everyone on the behind the scenes crew was a bit lax. Overall the vampire elite theme seems very borrowed from Ann Rice.

Fiance and I liked the first one, saw it on DVD, we're 30 ish, so we went hoping to find another good movie but this time around the whole movie felt confused about what story it was trying to tell. Too many scenes were painfully slow to the point where you were rolling your eyes hoping the director would just get on with the movie. Seems to be made more to show off the bodies of the male actors rather than tell a story. Waste of $10 in my opinion. Wait for DVD unless you just want to see "hot guys" with no shirts on...The first one was SO MUCH BETTER, this is like watching the first star wars movie then instead of the next two being excellent, you were immediately assaulted with the Episode 1 massacre.

Arguably one of the worst movies of the decade. Terrible acting, torturous story telling, and throughout the entire thing they all seemed to be having some form of abdominal pain. It's little wonder no one knew of Kristen Stewart prior to these movies. Someone needs to take these kids to acting classes.
