I suppose I should not have expected anything more than what I received from this movie. The movie was pretty much in-line with the book and I was not real impressed with the book, which left any avid reader wondering why did I read all those books? The movie was average, at best, leaving me wondering if I even want to see "Eclipse". My 12-year old thought it was just ok, but better than Twilight. Too much hype involved, which ruins the experience for a true lover of Horror, Vampires and Fiction

I liked this movie a lot but I thought it could have been a bit better still. Also New Moon was not the best out of all the books so that could also be another reason why the movie was not as great as it could have been. All and all though it was close to the book and the acting was better in this movie then in the first. Edward is gorgeous and there were a lot of scenes with hot bods so it was nice :)

It was such a relief to see the MAJOR improvements in New Moon vs Twilight. (Wish they would go back and remake Twilight b/c it didn't do the book justice.) I've read the complete series more than once & New Moon captured the authenticity and sincerity that you would get from reading the book. I cried and laughed at the same moments I did when I read the book. Also, Edward's "Bling" was more like I had imagined it to be, so that was a big improvement!!
The only issues I had were with the hair & make-up department..... Rosalie's wig looked like a wig, and Esme's make-up was too much for her personality.... she looked more radiant with her simplicity in Twilight than she does in New Moon... altho still a gorgeous woman regardless!!

New Moon deffinitly brought more action with the wolves and the Volturi. I was a little disappointed that the quote "Heres to responsibilty twice a week, and recklessness everyday in between." didn't make it's way into the movie. But overall it was what I was hoping and more. When I read the chapter where Bella, Jacob, and Mike go see Crosshairs in my head I saw Jacob on Bella's left. In the book, Bella's motorcycle was red but in the movie it was black, and at the very end they didn't have it in Bella's driveway. Also the book makes no mention of a fight with the Volturi.

This movie was so much better than the first and so much better than the book. It stuck very closely to the book and kept all the key points of the book in the movie without dwelling too much on Bella's depression. I thought it was very well done! Kudos to Chris Weitz on creating an awesome movie representation of the book. I saw the midnight showing on 11/20 and again last night. I will most likely go see it a few more times before it goes off the big screen. I would definitely recommend seeing the movie.

Took my kids and a friend to see New Moon and everyone was impressed with it. I think it was perfect and everyone played their part to a "T"! Taylor Lautner IS Jacob now. Kristen Stewart was gorgeous in this movie and really seemed to be more mature. The occurence of Edward (in the middle)never took away from Bella and Jake either. I thought the ending was just right, and for those who didn't get it- read the books:-)

I read these books when they first came out and i enjoyed them. New Moon was my favorite out of all four books so it was exciting to see some ones interpetation of the book. The thing is about this book, is there isnt much of a plot for a film. The previews were surrounded by the voltori,. Some of the films pacing went fast other parts of it went slow. One thing that i do say is I love the look of the film. there was much more rich color and the shots were good. i think Kristen did really well and so did Taylor. there chemisty was great! I would only recomend a fan to watch this,because they will know what is going on in the film. If your not a fan i would rate in Matanee or rent it.

Loved the CG effects, much improved over Twillight! The movie may convert me to "Team Jacob" (at least at the movie level). Will see it at least once more before the it's released on dvd (it's that good!), but I'm a book/movie fan for the entire series!

While I liked how abrubtly the ending came in the book, I apreciated the re-arching to fit the whole story into 2 hours-ish. I thought the vamps looked a lot better and the Cullens were truer to their characters than the first film. However, the Hollywood score replacing the integrated indy rock was a bad move. In the first film I was sold when they started that cool song as Bella's plane took off. No such moment in New Moon. Still awesome though.

I am a huge Twiligh Saga fan so I was really excited to see New Moon. It was great just like the book loved the direction they took this movie in. I was there opening day to see it the theater was packed and crazy but so worth it. I can't wait till Eclipse in June 10'.

I read all of the books 4 times and really liked the movie. The book was better, but I'm a details person:) I would recommend the movie, but not to young viewers. I personally didn't care for the lack of shirts throughout the movie, but still would see it again.

I thought that Melissa Rosenburg did a good job writing the movie script. Reading the book, I had kept in mind all of the many quotes that all the readers love. ("Time passes..." "I think she's having hysterics..." "Before you my life was like a moonless night..."etc.) None of them were included which uspet me. Also, though it followed the book pretty well, there were some parts that would have confused me. Example: Bella going to Italy. Many of my friends had a hard time understanding why exactly she did that. Plus, they didn't include the whole ride back from Volterra. First she was in Italy and BAM she's back in her bedroom. It made you think that the whole thing was a dream. But other than that, the move was fantastic.

This movie was awesome. Hats off to the producers, much better than the 1st. I have read all 4 books and new moon movie went right along with the book. All the characters were great and Edward and Jacob were hot!!!!!!!! I just hate I have to wait another year for eclipse to come out. Just seeing the books come to life is cool. Never been a big romance person but if I could be one of the characters in these books, I wouldn't hesitate. Great Job!!!!!!

I see all these reviews saying that they liked New Moon better than Twilight.
I didn't read the book but, I saw Twilight which got me interested in the movie, but, New Moon was not good, the story line was too long and not enough action.
I guess New Moon is suppose to set up the next sequel, I hope the sequel does not have a long story line or else I will be done with them.

I felt a little bad for my husband. Not only was he greatly outnumbered, gender-wise, he was one of the few NOT swooning over the male leads.
Thank heavens.
That said, New Moon is a pleaser, although the differences in tone between the first installment and the second seem to reflect the change of directors. I felt like the female characters were fleshed out better in Twilight, while beefcake pans dominated in New Moon.
Nevertheless, it's an engaging few hours of entertainment that definitely opens the door for Installment 3.

New Moon was much better than Twilight. It followed the book better. Although once again for those that did not read the series, it may seem a little confusing. There were a few laughable moments, and the ending was truly unique in it's ability to really make you want to see the next installment. Taylor Lautner was outstanding in his roll as Jacob Black. Compared to the book you really get a feel for how much he cares about Bella. It will be real interesting to see how Eclipse plays out. Will miss the actress who plays Victoria as she really plays her well. Overall it was a 5 star movie.

Reading all the Twilight books, i really think they had New Moon figured out. I enjoyed it maybe a little bit better than twilight. I would see this movie again and again. I went with about 10 of my friends, guys and girls, so not to say it was a chick flick. I love how the movie was more like the book and the acting was much better in this movie. I cant wait for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.. the countdown begins.

I thought it was a GREAT movie. In Twilight movie they left out A LOT. But in New Moon they didn't leave out a lot, they just left out a few things. But even without some of the things it was EXTRAORDINARY, AMAZING, AND AWESOME. Especially when Jacob (Taylor Lautner) took off his shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought that the director did a great job with this book. I have read where people thought it was boring but if they had read the books, they would know that New Moon was the slowest of all of the books. They didn't leave out so much as the first movie and I thought the acting improved by great lengths. The last scene was a little dry and not quite emotional enough for me but I think anyone who watches this will be pleased.

I thought the movie was great! It kept to the book's true version and that is a plus! It was emotionally stirring, yet still contained comedy. A great movie makes me laugh AND cry!!! My only problem with the movie was Edward. I did not find him very attractive at all in this movie, compared to the first. The scenes with his shirt off - he looked terrible! I think if he is going to represent what a 'perfect man' should look like, he should gain a little muscle and shave!!! This movie had much better graphics and just came out much more realistic than the first. I actually like Jacob more now than Edward though :( Great movie though!!!!

New moon knocks the ball so far out of the park. New Moon proves the old saying that you cant top the first movie. This movie is action packed out of the gate, the chemestry with most of the actors is what pulls you into the movie even more. New Moon is wooth the line wait, you can stand n line for 2 hours and the moment it ends you'll want to leave your seat and go stand in another 2 hour line to see it all over again.

I liked this movie better then the first. I didn't like that it was still to short. You could tell that they were trying to put a very long and detailed book into a two hour movie. It seemed very broken up like you got 5min. for every chapter in the book. I would like to see Summit lengthen the next two films. I'm OK if they want to make a 2 1/2 or 3 hour film in order to make it better. The wolfs turned out really good in my opinion.
