I thought that the director did a great job with this book. I have read where people thought it was boring but if they had read the books, they would know that New Moon was the slowest of all of the books. They didn't leave out so much as the first movie and I thought the acting improved by great lengths. The last scene was a little dry and not quite emotional enough for me but I think anyone who watches this will be pleased.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
