This movie was really great.. It did have to throw in parts previously left out of the first movie to make sense of it, so the first little bit was a review which was a bit annoying. There were parts left out of this movie, but the overall quality was wonderful!
The Volturi was cast very well, especially Aro!
The action scenes were really great, and the wolves were spectacular!

The Movie was better directed this time the acting even better there were actors I wasn't too happy with in the first film. Great presence for Taylor playing Jacob (we all know who won the hearts of millions of ladies lol) Action sequences were enticing!!!! Overall great film

The movie did not start until 12:45 a.m., then showing five or six previews (yikes), but the 2 h 10 min movie had a good flow. The struggle Jacob experienced realizing he is a werewolf and having to join a pack came across, and more time was spent on that than on the Cullen family or the Volturi. Jacob looks buff (Hulk?), so when we see Edward walking into the sunlight to reveal himself as a vampire, Edward looked kind of scrawny in comparison (sorry Edward). However, keeping in mind that he suffered leaving Bella, the agonized look and speech fit the scene; and it leaves me with hope for recovery in Eclipse (for Bella, of course). Kristen Stewart was great, as well as the rest of the cast. Loved Billy Burke as Charlie Swan.

This movie was AMAZING! it followed the book way better than Twilight did. The effects were better and also the acting. I already knew this movie would be better because they had a bigger budget and a new director. I thank him for being true to the book(: It's been a while since I read the book, but I remembered all the scenes from the book and it's how I imagined it when I read them.

I waited so long to see this movie and was so excited when it finally got here. I pre-purchased tickets for the midnight showing for me and another Twilight freak. It was so awesome! I love the way the actors are able to transfer their emotions to the audience. This was my least favorite books, due to Edward being gone. I am glad they showed more of him in the movie. My only disappointment.. Where was Edward's blood red lips? They made him look way too pasty compared to the first movie. I am seeing it again tomorrow. Cannot wait for it to come out on DVD!!

WAY... better then twilight, i loved twilight and still do, but in the big picture it didnt do justice 2 the book. new moon had all the main scenes & were all done very well!chris weitz did an amazing job and it really shows! i love this movie so much! It’s very fast paced though. the action never stops, so good for guys also! also the acting was way better! taylor really surprised me! i never though he would be as good as he was! kristen has always been good, but she did an overly amazing job in this movie! most def inantly worth the money!

One thing I really appreciated was the soundtrack. The music they chose set the atmosphere for the movie just right. I don't like the new look they gave the Cullen's. In Twilight they looked realistic, not so much in New Moon. It's the hair and eyes. They slip a good bit of humor in there, which was entertaining but almost overkill.
Overall - great movie, better than the first, and it stayed true to the book, so I'm happy.

Much better than Twilight. Better acting, awesome special effects, closer to the book than the first movie. You could also tell there was a lot more money put into New Moon than they probably had available to put into Twilight. I can't wait to see it again! When will it be out on DVD?!?! Impressive!

oh man! my expectations were high for this movie especially after being extremely disappointed with Twilight. New Moon definitly did not disappoint. It was AMAZING! The acting alone from everyone on this movie was 100x's better than the first movie. They also stayed more true to the book in this movie. And it was also funny... i mean even in the sadder parts of the movie there was a smart comment or something to make you laugh. I've allready made plans to see it several more times throughout next week and plan to keep going till its no longer in theaters. hopefully they dont take too long to release the DVD!!!!

Twilight was done on a much smaller budget and scale. You could tell that New Moon was bumped up a whole other notch. It was fantastic. EVERYTHING improved. The acting, the lighting, the coloring, the direction of the movie. It was so true to the book with minor liberties taken. OVERALL: WAY BETTER!!!

New Moon was a wonderful movie that followed the book well. I believe that the actors did a great job portraying the feelings described throughout the book, and I was completely wrapped up in them. I expected it to be a good movie, but what I saw was far better. I can't put into words my true feelings about the movie, there isn't any word that would reach the true depth of my joy and love for this movie. I fully plan on seeing it again soon. I'm already counting down the days until Eclipse gets released.

I loved the movie! In the book it was really hard to like Jake, but in the movie it's made easy. Taylor Lautner is ahhhhhmazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVED Him! Also the wolves were done exceptionally well. This was a concern amongst friends and we all agree, they did a terrific, classy job with the wolves. So believeable, perfect! The scene where Jake-enwolfe-chases Victoria...that has to be one of my favorites!!!!! So beautifully done! And the ending left me shocked, even though I knew how it ended, the film depicted it well! Great, great Job everyone!!!!!!!! I need ECLIPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jacob Black... if only he were older I wouldn't feel like such a sleaze.
Anyway would recommend seeing the movie, but read the books in order to get to know the characters better. MUST SEE, special effects and love story who could ask for more in a VAMP/WW Flick......

Unbelievable!! Best ever!! We waited over 2 hours for the midnight showing, and the
movie was so great, time left us. Shortest 2 hour movie I've ever seen. The ending came so suddenly, I won't spoil it for everyone, but our audience gasped when the credits started rolling. We couldn't believe it was over!! We wanted to see more. True to the book and you won't be disappointed AT ALL!!!
I'm going to see it again after our Thanksgiving cruise. Do not miss this movie, see it asap! It's great, and not a dull moment!!

New Moon was far better than the first movie, keeping the script closer to the story in the book. The additional budget really paid off and the cast has shown a lot of growth in the past year. As always Billy Burke was a great comic relief.

Honestly i am not a big fan of the twilight saga books are not that good. the first movie left me disapointed and it was the best of the 4 book.
The secound movie was 100 times better than the first movie, and it was actually better than the book.
Rob and all the vampire were better in this movie both acting and directing than they were in the first movie( i dont think in the first one they were given the potential to be good)
Kristin got prettier but her acting was a bit off..
The reason this movie is so good i think is because the director was different from the first one.

I first was drawn to the Twilight Saga by the original Twilight movie. Catherine Hardwick offered a romance for all ages, through the eyes of a woman. Chris Weitz's version of this saga is anything but romantic. I didn't shed a single tear at any point in this movie. So much was rushed through to make room for his "manly" action scenes. There should have been more attention paid to the pivotal moments, such as the drowning scene (what about some fire on the water!) Also, the soundtrack sucked compared to Twilight. I think they went wrong when they let Catherine Hardwick go, and I don't understand why Stephenie Meyer is allowing this to happen, but I still love my Edward!

As obsessed with the Twilight saga as I am, I had major disappointments with the first movie even though I watch it over and over. So I was honestly trying to remain objective when watching New Moon. Did I expect to cry? Yes and I did. What I did not expect? How many great one liners there were. I didn't feel any awkward acting moments like I did in the first movie. Did it leave out parts of the book? Sure. But in my humble opinion, it left out the more boring parts of the book. I was also aware of the necessary changes in plot timeline. Again, understandable for the plot. If I had to be a negative nancy, my only criticism is the continuity errors in the cars and appearances of characters that are not supposed to change.

I enjoyed all four books and was disappointed with Twilight. New Moon was infinite times better!!! Entertaining and funny (when it was meant to be). The acting was better and so were the special effects. I can't tell you how much easier it was too watch and how everthing flowed.

Others have mentioned how much better than the first one this is, and it's true, but then they didn't have THAT far to go in my opinion. The first was sort of campy and slow, but it got me to read the books. The second movie was filmed so much better, the acting was better, the movie flowed... the things from the book that were omitted didn't cause the viewer to really miss anything. There are a few details you pick up in spots like that, but it wasn't so much that you were missing whole pieces of "why". It really was worth getting there at six, watching the original, and then staying to watch the new one. Well worth it.

Chris Weitz did amazing! He kept to the book better than any other movie version or a book I've seen. The movie captured the loss Bella feels when Edward leaves and just as equally captures the chemistry between Jacob and Bella when she's coming back to life. The makeup was TONZ better in this movie (Edward looked how he always did in my head). Taylor Lautner did great! And OMGosh Kristen Stewart I loved her in this. She perfectly portrayed the pain and loss Bella was feeling. Michael Sheen was PERFECT as Aro. Creepy and Excited about everything.
Things I didnt like: The underwater seen. The Bella and Edward running joyfully through the woods part. LAME. That is all.
