Although I waited 6 hrs for the midnight showing @ redland Kirkorian I was not disappointed . The movie was very close to the book and included much detail. The graphics were amazing hats off to Chris Weitz...and YES EDWARD I WILL MARRY YOU..

New Moon was really really really good. It hit on the most important and exciting points in the book. I think that it was also more visually appealing than Twilight. and how can anyone resist the large cast of sexy guys!!!!

If your a fan of the books, you'll enjoy this film. Chris Wietz did a great job keeping to the storyline and tones of the book. The production value of this film is definitely a step up from it's predecessor, Twilight. A lot of time and thought from the filmmaker's went into the making of this movie to keep the fans happy.
That being said, anyone who is unfamiliar with the storyline will find difficulty following the film.
If your a fan of of the Twilight universe, go and see this movie... It's worth it!

It's like watching the book- on screen. That might seem like a stupid thing to say, but it was not like this with Twilight. This director did an AMAZING job- the movie screen wasn't washed in blue and gloom- it was colorful, vivid, visually pleasing. The only thing I didn't like about the movie were the two leads- Rob mumbles too much, and Kristen stutters too much. But that's just them, and everyone else seems to like it. I loved the movie. Such a good job. Though, there was this one part where bella should have been prettier (which isn't too hard, kristen is very beautiful)...if you watch it, you'll know what I mean. I LOVE Alice...perfect, in every way!! And Rosalie finally looked pretty too. Great movie.

I honestly have to say that New Moon was 10 times better than Twilight. I hope it comes out on dvd very very soon. There were a few parts that were in the book that i wish would have happened in the movie, but i wasnt surprised that there was a lot taken out. but this movie was more like the book than twilight was. Taylor Lautner was so drooling ^.^ and did a great job as his character. i am team edward but i wish they would have kissed haha. i would recomend this to my friends cuz its worth your money more than twilight was. i almost cried during the movie. there was more comedy in this movie than twilight which is a huge plus cuz i love comedy movies. cant wait to see the next one!!! =]]

New Moon seemed to bring to life a whole other world from Twilight, and that's a good thing. Acting was incredible, camera angles and movement were astonishing, and the wolves definitely brought the action! I gotta give props to Chris Weitz.

This is by far my new favorite movie. There are no words to describe how much I love it.
It was SO well done, and the acting was so much more natural than Twilight.
The action and the fight scenes were incredible and the CGI was just perfect.
Beautiful film. I am a HUGE fan of the series, and this movie blew me away.
I will definitely be seeing it in theaters again... and again... and again...

I have read the saga once, and it was about a year ago so I wasn't able to pick out all the things that weren't like the book. The graphics were PHENOMENAL! I think the quality of New Moon is about 100% better than Twilight. Of course the eye candy is a serious plus...but even without that, its such a great movie. I absolutely fell in love all over again. It is tough for me to look at "Jacob" and not want to change my Team Edward status! Good god it shouldn't be legal for a kid to be so friggin HOT. Ok. Moving on. I think this one was much better, and much closer to the book than Twilight. I would definitely go see it again...and again...and again.

As with any book to movie, I am always going to have this feeling they are missing soooo much from the book. However, for cramming all the detail that Steph puts in her books, into a movie, I think they all did a good job! Way better then some of the other ones out there. I also am very impressed with all the simple one liner jokes they stuck in the movie. I give 5 stars!

The book was better, but I think it will always be. The CGI was better in New Moon than Twilight. The story was a little slow in the beginning. Kirsten Stewart did not perform well in this movie. Her portrayal of Bella's depression looked more like she forgot how to blink. The introduction of the werewolves was good. Ashley Greene's Alice was amazing along with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner

The movie is almost always true to the book, considerably true to the characters (and the fans). I didn't want to see a version of the book or an interpretation of the book. I wanted what I read. Brilliant scenes, actors seem much more comfortable in their roles, the tone is exactly what it needed to be for this book as well.
Kellan Lutz - Emmett is a hoot, Alice is definitely increasing her involvement although what on earth they made her wear?!
Pattinson's make up is very real along with the rest of the Cullens'.
Bella's depression is clearly evident even without any words.
Overall though - a BIG FAT success!
LET US HOPE WEITZ WOULD DIRECT BREAKING DAWN 1 AND 2.

Even though it left out a few things from the book, like the cd Edward made her for birthday, and a few other things of that nature, it was still a good movie. If you are a Twilight fan, you'll be happy. If you aren't a Twilight fan, then it's a toss up. It had the typical 'Edward fights for Bella's life' fight at the end. The cool part is you get to learn more about Jacob and that side of the story... the ending will leave you wanting more though...

Yes I have read the series like over five times and am picky but for it being 2 hrs and adding some things in there, I seriously thought that it made the book justice. The ending was perfect even though I personally don't like cliffhangers. Everything from the CGI and Taylor Lautners' performance blew me away. He really took the role of Jacob seriously. If you don't go watch this movie, there must eb something wrong with you. There is way more action and you WILL love it!

When there is a book first, then a move about that book, one can never capture everything from the book. However, I felt that they stuck very close to the book, with great graphics and excellent character portrayal. You either love it, or you don't. My daughter and I loved the books, and the movies are very close to those. Keep an open mind and always remember to have fun at the movies.

This movie was alot more accurate to the book than its predecessor. The dialogue and the comedy were present as it was in the novel. The only thing I didn't like was that sometimes, when the characters mumbled things, I could not understand it fully, but that could have been just because the audience was inconsiderately loud and obnoxious.
