As much as I loved Twilight, New Moon is much better in many ways. The acting first of all iis so much better this time around it's easy and not forced. The relationships are comfortable and less awkward etc. There's a lot of humor and so many touching moments that were not over-acted or poorly acted. I took my daughters at midnight last night and we all left there madly in love with Jacob. They did a good job keeping to the book although they obviously had to cut a lot out. It was fun and amazing and worth the wait. Both of my girls have already seen it again today and I know I'll see it again before the week is out. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.

The movie was well worth the wait. There was never a dull moment throughout the whole movie. I enjoyed it very much. I'm planning to see it a second time tonight.

New Moon exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait for it to come out on DVD. Even though I love the first, Twilight, I felt as though this one was better and it stayed pretty true to the book considering that is usually difficult to do. I felt as though the story line for this film was a better representation of the characters. Definitely recommend to others!!

I absolutely loved this movie. I was counting down the days for this movie to come to theaters, but now that I've seen it I'm looking forward to Eclipse next June. The director for this movie did an Excellent job. I loved the action, the special effects, the new characters, everything. If I could afford it I would go everyday to see this movie.

This adaptation of New Moon was so fulfilling! It was great to see the book brought to life. Taylor Lautner was the perfect Jacob!He stole the show, in my opinion. I'm not the biggest Kristin Stewart fan, but she did better in this movie than in Twilight. Then, Rob, of course, was phenomenal. I just wish he looked less scruffy and more like the "stunningly gorgeous guy" he's supposed to be. The special effects were excellent. I wish they had shown more of Edward and Jacob's conversations after Italy, but they had to cut some stuff out. It's definitely written for people who have read the book, the way it should be. I absolutely cannot wait for Eclipse! I now have high expectations!

I was so tired by the time I waited outside in a line for two plus hours, that I started to doubt my sanity about buying my daughter and I tickets for the midnight showing. But once the movie started, I forgot all about fatigue. This second installment of the Twilight Saga was extremely well done, top notch in every way. The story played better to me than it's book counterpart, holding my attention every second. I loved the special effects: the werewolves, the vampire segments, every detail of the entire movie. Well done! Even guys will enjoy it...the "action" in this movie is spellbinding, and the "romance" isn't as cheesy as one might suppose. GO!!! HURRY!!!

OMG! This movie was soooooooooo worth the wait and has me salivating for the opening of "Eclipse" in June! "New Moon" was totally awesome and everything about this film, including the action, great visual effects, and the acting was a major step up from Twilight! It's a definite must see for everyone and the film is very true to the book. My husband also really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing it again next weekend. I went to the 1PM show on opening day and the theater was completely full! I'll bet a lot of business in my city were short staffed today! I hope everyone else enjoys "New Moon" as much as we did!!!!!

I would definitely say that New Moon was better than Twilight. I think the cast really knew that they had to step it up in this one after the disappointment resulting from Twilight. The music selections fit in perfectly and Chris Weitz did a fantastic job with all of the shots and he did a great job bringing the color out in the right places. I would definitely reccomend everyone go see it even if you didn't like Twilight because the books are incredible and its amazing that they have been brought to life in reality.

With the new director I was really impressed with the huge difference from Twilight to New Moon. The actors meshed well in both movies but the main characters really popped and gave a wonderful performance. I love how the whole theatre was quiet and then when a funny moment happened you could hear everyone laugh in unison. The same goes for the more serious moments in the movie. Everyone got quiet and seemed to sigh with relief at the same time. It was really a great experiance. I loved this movie.

i would definitely recommend everyone to go see this movie, especially if you read the books. yes new moon was way better than twilight and stuck to the book alot more. in this movie you get to see a side of jacob that in no ways compares to "twilights jacob". believe me it would be the best 2 1/2 hours spent in a theatre. although i must say i still have decided whos team to be on. i guess i'll be team switzerland

new moon was great! can t wait for the next one to come out. i went to the midnight show it was packed with people from teens to 60 yr olds. i was fun to hear the teens when the shirts got taken off the boys!!! the girls hootin !!! got 3hrs sleep and went to work! but the movie was worth going to work tired, id do it again!!!!

I believe that this is Stephanie meyer's best movie yet , although i would have rather had Bella with Jacob. I pictured it a little bit different than seen. When I saw this movie I was suprised by how detailed and graphic this was. I have read all of the books but did not see some things coming. This movie was a sure delight. This is the perfect balance of action ,romance ,and deception for the likes of the teen generation.

Being a big fan of Twilight, I just knew that New Moon had to be done better. Well, it definitely was!!!! The cast was improved with better makeup and better special effects. It was better than what I expected. And Jacob was a huge improvement turning into a short-haired werewolf hunk! Those of you who are true Team Edward may change your minds after seeing this movie!!

Accepting the fact that all movie adaptations of books will modify information, this film version was pretty much true to the heart of New Moon as written. I do think it was much better done than Twilight. I cannot wait for the next film in June and to buy this DVD so I can watch it over and over again.

This movie is everything I hoped it would be. The stars did an amazing job of conveying the deep emotion of the book. The book comes alive as the action is portrayed on the screen. The only down side was knowing that the movie had to come to an end and it will be June of 2010 before we can continue watching the Twilight saga unfold in Eclipse. Who knew vampires and werewolves could inspire such passion.

Overall, the movie was very well done. The cinematography was excellent, the acting was wonderful, the script was very good, and the translation from book to screen was first rate. Chris Weitz did a wonderful job of capturing Bella's torture at losing Edward, and her burgeoning friendship with Jacob.
Kristen Stewart played a wonderful Bella, and really grew into the role since "Twilight." Taylor Lautner was amazing as Jacob; I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. Rob Pattinson was wonderful in the (fewer than I would like) scenes that he had. Billy Burke was the perfect Charlie, and Edi Gathegi was superb as Laurent. I only wish we'd seen more of Gil Birmingham and hope we see more of him in Eclipse.

Let me begin by saying that I absolutely hated the first movie. I have tried watching it three different times, but I always end up stopping it before it's over. So naturally, I was a bit skeptical about New Moon. To my surprise, however, it actually turned out to be a pretty good movie. The cast was did a much better job of portraying the characters in the book and the plot of the movie followed the plot of the book very nicely. The movie also had a solid mix of drama, romance, action, suspense, and comedy, which is why I would recommend it to almost anyone.

I attended the midnight screening of New Moon and after waiting in line for quite some time, we were let in and the movie began!
It was well worth the wait! I thought New Moon was better acted than Twilight and there was a more comedic aspect present in this one.
The dramatic parts were great and overall, the movie stayed true to the book-a plus for the fans.
I loved New Moon and I can't wait to see it again!

First of all, the movie is amazing! Very, very close to the book! I'm a huge fan of Twilight and I know I have high expectations of these movies but, to me it seems that some scenes were a little dragged out. I was not feeling the bond between Jacob & Bella, not how it seems in the book anyway. Overall, it was a great movie. Almost how I pictured it while I was reading this particular book. I'm not gonna say it's the best movie ever cause I love Twilight, every movie has a flaw. Definitely worth seeing!!! I will be seeing it again though!

Bad Move!
This go around was far less impressive than Twilight, the first movie.
The bad acting was more apparent than before.
And I don't believe they included enough details that were in the book!
Just something to tie us to the 3rd installment, which will just be to tie us to the 4th!
