Far from perfect, but definitely an improvement.

Let me begin by saying that I absolutely hated the first movie. I have tried watching it three different times, but I always end up stopping it before it's over. So naturally, I was a bit skeptical about New Moon. To my surprise, however, it actually turned out to be a pretty good movie. The cast was did a much better job of portraying the characters in the book and the plot of the movie followed the plot of the book very nicely. The movie also had a solid mix of drama, romance, action, suspense, and comedy, which is why I would recommend it to almost anyone.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
