I liked the movie, however there were a few cheesey parts (which were most likely aimed at tiny boppers), like when Jacob whips off his shirt to dap the blood off Bella's head, lol cracked up! I thought there would be more action than there was, but still I enjoyed the movie, will def be seeing it again in the theaters and will buy it when it comes out! The 4th movie is the one I'm really excited about, it was the best out of the 4 books.

Of course i read the books and they will always be way better. But for the movie it was great. Outside of the screaming girls in the theater everytime it showed Jacob without his shirt.
The epic love story of Bella and Edward, can't wait to see the next movie.

I thought the vampires looked more like vampires in this movie vs. the first one. I wish there had been more time spent in Voltura - as that was such a special part of the book. In all, I thought the movie was very well done and the special effects were awesome.

I figured they got a new director, and since the first one made a lot of money the second one would be much better but...alas no. Over done facial expressions, not enough story explanation, Horrible CG, the Vampire eyes were way over done, unless you were 16 this was not good. Lets hope it makes a ton of money and they use it wisely on the next two or this will be a waste of 4 good books!

This was right on with the book- word for word
The girls especially liked seeing Taylor Lautner shirtless for most of the movie. The entire theater did!

Loved it - great job! Great rollercoaster of emotions & crowd response was so funny. A lot of people either haven't read the book or didn't remember it. If you have, not a lot of surprises... but SO entertaining!

Ok, so it was better than Twilight, but then it would be hard pressed to be worse. Robert Pattinson's ginormous eyebrows were really distracting, but at least they took my attention away from his bad acting. Kristen Stewart made Bella far less plastic than before. It doesn't do the book justice, but when does a movie ever accomplish that? Edward came off as an even bigger jerk, and made me want to switch to team Jacob.

I loved this movie ... The book - New Moon was the hardest for me to get through it was a dry read for the first 100 pages before it got interesting so I was really pleased with the movie and how it was done. Great Job - Great Movie really loved it .. and the ending was excellent - Nothing like a "cliffhanger" .. ha

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT. Screenwriter hit on the most important details of book. I feel it is as close to the book as could be done in 2hrs & 10 minutes. The actors were great. I did miss Alice's spikey hair from the first one. You could really sense the pain and anguish all the characters were feeling. I will see it again, and will definitely buy the DVD. Can't wait for Eclipse!

For fans - a must see! For non-fans, can be a little tedious at times, but still an entertaining two hours; at least you do not feel like checking the time constantly wondering when it will all be over. They are young actors and some performances were more convincing than others. Jacob, the werewolf, was outstanding in conveying teen angst for someone under more unusual circumstances than normal.

For those of you that bash the plot and the characters, please try to remember that the movies are based on the books and there's a storyline, character development and emotions that happen in the books that can not be captured in the movies, which is not unusal for book adaptions. So, either take the time to read the books or just enjoy the movies and don't over anaylze because unless you've read the books, New Moon it may be difficult for some of you 'glass half empty people' to let go and just enjoy.

1st I would like to say NEW MOON was very entertaining. True to the book the script continued to follow it. I much appreciated that as I have read the series several times.
The movie had more funny and romantic parts then all the action the book provided. Jacob and Bella's relationship was over emphasized and the action was rushed. For those who haven't read the books the ending will leave you on your toes. Overall kudos to everyone involved in the making of NEW MOON.

I am a mother of 4 and took 7 pre-teen girls we had a blast. It was the best movie ever. Much better than Twilight. Worth going and seeing again. Can't wait until it comes out on DVD!!!

I think the movie followed the book as much as possible for a 2 hr movie. The special effects were fantastic. Really looked as if the boys were changing into them. I will see it again and buy it when on DVD.

The movie was good. The character development and relationship development was a bit weak. I'm surprised at so many reviews that said it stuck so closely to the book. I loved the CG on the wolf pack! That was my favorite part. A bit disappointed they felt they had to have the Volturi fight seen. Jumped to much from major points in the book and left out too much of the meat and relationship development.

Full Disclosure: I am one of those fans who devoured the books, loved the last movie, and no surprise enjoyed this one as well. Drew me back into the Bella-Jacob-Edward love triangle and made me remember why I was so firmly Team Jacob. The werewolf part of the story definitely dominates (the Cullens got nothing on the hot, half-dressed native American wolfpack). Would like to say it stands on its own but not sure non-fans and newbies will agree. Whatever - can't wait for Part III.

Thought this stayed truer to the book than Twilight...to the people giving bad reviews on the story line READ THE BOOKS they will make you appreciate the movies more because it gets more into the story line, and of course blows the movies away
Anyone that follows the Twilight Saga go see it! If you are just going to see a movie and don't know too much about it, I can see why you would think the story line sucked and the acting was bad---but the acting is how they are portrayed in the books, and the story line is great--if you know it (the movie has to cut out so much detail for the 700 page books)--for me, seeing it come to life is pretty cool. Also seeing Taylor shirtless in the pouring rain was pretty hot too ;-)

While it might be a little sappy for the guys in a few areas, it definitely made me tear up a few times. The acting is leaps and bounds better than Twilight. The colors are rich and appealing to the eye. It's a 2 hour movie, and normally I'm wanting the movie to end so I can leave, but these 2 hours went by extremely fast. I think that's the mark of a good movie. It really isn't so bad guys, so don't be too upset if your girlfriend wants you to go see it.

Took my son to the midnight opening. He's on the Team Alice side. I enjoyed the movie, but thought perhaps for once the previews gave too much away. Movie did follow the book pretty well. Thought the idea of Edward never existing needed to be followed by the book a little more. The actions scenes were great. And the way the vamps movement was much more liquid than before was great. Great Job!

Words can not describe how much I love this movie. I am so impressed on how they followed the book almost to the tee and how well the actors did in this one. I'm a fan of the books and was not impressed with the first movie Twilight...I can not wait until Eclipes comes out and I will go and see it again.

I read the books so I had high expectations. This movie stuck to the book VERY well. There were men and women of all ages at the movie and everyone was getting into it. It was very good and I plan to see it a few more times as well as buy it when it comes out.

Movies are inexorbly constrained to tell their story within the budgets and show times alloted by hollywood standards; and in this case of a movie based on a great book, the movie falls far short of the book: lacking detail and character development. I very much enjoyed the movie despite the fact that the scenes were abruptly jump cut without any explaination of how the movie watcher got there. Like most folks, I had the benefit read the book, which allowed me to fill in the gaps with what I already knew. For the third installment, the director needs to ensure that the scenes flow, and provide more backstory.

I liked it. My boyfriend was quite upset there wasn't more "action," but it should be well known it's a LOVE story. Its not meant to be scary or action packed. The focus is a twisted love story. It's somewhat a modern Romeo & Juliet. So, guys be prepared...it's not your classic vampire film.
