I received the Twilight dvd as a birthday gift last year on March 21. And I loved it! Before then I had not read any of the books. I bought the hardcover series and started reading. I thought they did a really good job with making this movie more like the book. I'm going to see it again soon. The line was long but well worth seeing this one...including Mr. Robert Pattinson you did an excellent job!!! I too thought I liked the Eclipse book the best so far, I haven't finished Breaking Dawn yet. I would advise bringing extra napkins for the drooling. Enjoy it I sure did. And will again when I take little one to see Bella he adores her.

I'm a fan of the books, and they screwed up the first one. But I would say..hands down to Chris Weitz for this one. Amazing special effects, good make-up, and over-all filming is really good. I would say that MR picked a lot of lines from the book itself, which was good. All the important secenes in the book were there. They added a few that worked in favor of the movie as well.

I thought that this movie was a good interpretation of the book. It was a little slow moving but it fit the pace of the book well. I think that the movie overall was very good and that any and every Twilight fan should go and see it!

New Moon is an absorbing and transporting movie. Forget the hype and screaming 'tween and teen girls, the movie itself is extremely well directed, and acted. The "story" has a fun plot line, lots of action , angst and conflict. It also scores on the higher plane of good versus evil, love for another versus self-love. tTe special effects are excellent, the photography gorgeous. The main characters were well developed and extremely well acted for a primarily young cast. Dakota Fanning was a bore and miscast, but as the only misstep, is easily forgiven.

Wow! I can not believe how much I smiled during watching this movie. Everything was so exciting. I can't wait for the Eclipse where Bella becomes even more confused. This movie was so awesome. It was action packed, funny, sad, romantic and so much more.

I'm a fan so I watch the movies regardless of the reviews, but I still want to give an honest review. If you're a fan, you will enjoy the movie. If you aren't a fan, you will think the movie sucks.
In Twilight, most of the funny moments were tongue-in-cheek, placed on purpose by the director, and somewhat endearing. In New Moon, it seems these moments probably were not meant to be funny, and at times you are almost embarassed for the director. The suspense is gone and it seems the raw emotions are not projected as well. The action and effects are improved, but most of the fans didn't require big-budget effects. Going back to directing basics would have been a better use of budget as the key actors are capable of quality performances.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I thought that book 2 of the saga dragged a bit...I was worried that the movie would too. I was thankfully wrong. They added to the book slightly, but in a good-action way. LOVED IT! Can't wait for 3 & 4!

This movie was good. I highly recommend you read the books though. They are definitely better. For those of you knocking the movie because of the all the half-dressed guys, then you should read the book. There is a reason for it, but the movie didn't go into it. These books were aimed at young girls, so of course the movies would be too. And it is working! These books have girls reading like crazy!!! If you are going to complain, then go find something more age appropriate for yourself.

This was my least favorite book of the 4 - however movie was really good - can't wait to see Eclipse - the only negative is how dramatic and drawn out every part with Edward seemed -not that its not great seeing Edward as much as possible but some parts did not need to be soooo drawn out.

This movie was better than Twilight. Totally worth the wait. The on screen chemistry with Bella and Jacob was better in some places and really bad in others. Jacob doesnt try to kiss her as much in the books. As for Edward some of the lines from the book got moved into places they didnt belong. The birthday party could have been longer. Alice and Jacob's interaction was the funnest thing ever. I recommend this movie over Twilight.

New Moon was definitely better than Twilight. They kept the plot the same (for the most part). Parts that were cut out of the book, or changed from the book, were done well (not like in Twilight). Can't wait to see this movie again!!!

I thought New Moon was really good. They got most of the important parts in there and they didn't leave out anything really important or anything. I had only one problem with the movie and that was the acting was a little weird. The conversations had a lot of long pauses. New Moon was probably my least favorite of all the books but the movie was amazing. The special effects were really good too. I had really high expectations for the movie and they defintly passed them. I think that New Moon also may have been a little better than Twilight. I really enjoyed the movie and I can't wait for the next one!! :)

It was a great movie! However, things were slightly changed to speed up a 24 chapter book to 2 hrs and 10 min. Would've given 5 stars, but the ending was just too abrupt. Yes, they're setting it up for Eclipse, but really... did you have to end like that?

I did enjoy it very much. Like the first one, so much was left out of the movie. I'm a huge fan of all the books. I can't tell if I hadn't read the book if I would have understood the extreme emotions that drive the characters. They did a good job trying to convey Bella's desperation. The action was great. Really well done vampire fight. You probably saw most of the fight in the trailers tough.

I loved the characters, but the movie was overall sad and left me wanting more through out the movie. I can understand why pre-teens would like it, its alot of s**ual frustration and a kiss is supposed to satisfy it all. But for an adult seeing this movie, its like really? At least lay next to each other in bed or something. I would say either more action, or more of the cullen family in the movie would have made it better. I love all the actors and for it to only focus on 1-3 actors is a little slow and not complex.

Ok, I'm 37 and I admit I'm a die-hard Twilighter. The movie was wonderful and they stayed true to the book. You felt Bella's heartache when Edward left and the deep connection that developed between her and Jacob.
And even though he is jail bait, oh MY does Taylor look... just OH MY!
Probably gonna see this movie about a hundred more times before it's released on DVD/Blu-Ray!

I left the theater let down. The acting was mostly terrible. Most of the actors were stiff, emotionless blahs. I was anticipating a wonderful movie, hoping for an improvement from the first in the series, it fell very short of accomplishing either. The entire movie felt very choppy.
One bright side, the wolves were incredible. Taylor Lauter stole every scene he was in. I will be very interested to see what ended up on the cutting room floor when the dvd releases.

New Moon was an excellent movie. Very true to the book and I think all fans of the series will really enjoy it. I don't think, however, that non-fans will enjoy it that much. I do think that the CGI was a great improvement to the telling of the story. The wolves looked great! I just can't wait until Eclipse where there is more action and more Edward and the Cullens!
