I definitely enjoyed this movie and thought that it was much better than Twilight. If you are a fan of the books, you will be happy that the movie pretty much follows the book exactly. If you are not a fan of the books, I have a feeling that you won't "get" it.
I thought the acting was good, especially Taylor Lautner as Jacob. It did seem in this movie as if Edward has no personality. It seems like the only things he said were different versions of "Bella, I can't live without you." Kristin Stewarts acting was pretty good as well.
Overall, it was a good movie, was entertaining, and will definitely please fans of the book.

This movie was a whole lot better than the first one, direction wise. It stayed as close to the book as a movie can get and it didn't just jump to what it needed to make it a success. The only thing I don't think I'd do again is go to a midnight viewing with a thousand screaming girls. Otherwise Great movie!

I really enjoyed this movie. It was different from the book though, and in my opinion, they should have stuck more with the way things went in the book. I took my 14 year old daughter and she loved it too.

I have read the first three books and I am finishing the fourth one. I found that the movie New Moon seemed to hold true to the book. The special effects of the warewolf phasing looked great. I also think that Kristen did a great job showing the pain of Bella when Edward abandoned her.

I have been waiting for this movie since I heard they were going to start filming Twilight... My friend and I were so excited walking into the theater that we couldn't stand it. And then the movie started, and it was a waste of money. The movie itself was good, much better than Twilight... However, the 500 screaming 11 year old girls completely ruined it. Every time "Jacob" was pictured without his shirt (which was quite often) the entire theater exploded in ridiculous screaming -- to the point you could not hear the movie. I would recommend people wait to see it on DVD! I can't wait until I can see it again and actually be able to enjoy it!

My favorite book in the series is New Moon so I had high expectations. Thankfully, they were met. There are some fantastic images and the emotional interactions were done well, in my opinion. That said, my husband liked Twilight better because no one was very happy in this one. It was true to the book and I even felt some of the pain during certain parts. Maybe a bit of "cheesiness," but then I thought that when I read the books! I'll definitely see it again.

Chris Weitz has done an incredible job bringing this book to life. The wolves were AMAZING. Beautifully acted, gorgeous scenery, incredible special effects. Taylor Lautner does a superb job of showing Jacob's range of feelings. Kristen and Rob are perfect as always. Thousand times better than Twilight and I still LOVE Twilight. Yes, I am going again today!

I was very impressed with how true they stayed to the books. Every movie has to stray a little bit and they did but they made sure to keep all the major elements intact. Of all the characters, my favorite is Alice. She is everything I imagined in the books and I cannot wait to see what they do to make Eclipse a success!! I am going to see this movie again on Tuesday and I can't wait!!

Throughout the whole movie, Stewart spoke in monotone, kept licking her lips (in non sexy way), staring at the ground, and looking sullen. yep, she sucked.
On the other hand, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner rocked! They were soooooo hott. :-)
There wasn't as much action as the first movie, which blowed.
Before we went, we heard that there was going to be a BIG line, and there wasn't at all. We were the first people in the theater!
Overall, the movie was okay. I didn't expect THAT much from the movie, but I didn't expect so LITTLE either. "Bella" ruined the movie.

I absolutely loved this movie. It was made better than Twilight for sure! I do recommend anyone who is a fan of the books to go see it. I have read the books also and think the movie did it justice. I can't wait to see Eclipse!

I really enjoyed the movie and the graphics with the wolves were great. They did however change or leave out certain parts (as it is only two hours long) , but I feel that they pulled off doing so very well. (Kudos Chris) I do still think that the movies are going to be better to fans that have read the books.They provide you witha better view of the intensity of the emotions and the little things that happen in between that strengthens their bonds.The one things that bugged me the most was Rosalie's hair (wig), though her scenes were short and infrequent, they really should have done better. All in all I really enjoyed the movie and still plan on buying it on DVD.

I loved this movie!! I hated this book when I was reading it. It was painful, I hurt along with Bella. I was so mad that Edward was gone, so I didn't know how I would feel about this movie. But, it was sooooo much better than I hoped for. There are funny parts, and the wolf pack is so endearing. I will definately see it again!!

I have to say, I was impressed with the New Twilight movie. Usually the special effects in these films are so unrealistic, but somehow they made the warewolves rediculously real-looking. The cast was phenonmenal, including Dakota Fanning, evil vampire Jane. Overall, I can say I'm a 21 year old Twi-hard and though the movies never do the books justice, I think they came pretty close with New Moon! TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY!!!

If you love Twilight, you'll love the movie. If you're going purely for a movie experiencee, this is not the movie for you.
Personally I loved the books and loved the movie. Let's be honest though, the acting is downright awful. Taylor Lautner saying "don't make me angry" made more than a few people laugh out loud despite his hotness.

I loved the movie. I thought the changes from the movie and the book were brillantly done. The only thing I didn't like was when Heidi brought the people for the Volturi's meal. I wish Chris wouldn't have put kids in there. But other than that, Taylor did a great job. Of course, Kristen & Rob were great too.

I read the book, but the visual was great. I was prepared to be disappointed, but actually found it very tense and exciting. I had a cold, but was so caught up in the story that I don't remember sniffling, let alone breathing during the movie.

So, I had very low expectations for this movie considering that Twilight was so bad. I thought the writing and dialogue of the first movie was terrible. Not to mention the lack of love between Bella and Edward, the relationship was hardly developed and Catherine Hardwicke made it seem very trivial and looks based. That said, New Moon was AMAZING the acting improved, the dialogue improved, and the movie actually followed to book to a T. Plus, the development of Jacob and Bella's friendship was played out beautifully. As a former Team Edward Die Hard, I might be now screaming Team Jacob because this movie developed a much better and believable relationship...Bottom line--spend the money, you are going to love it!

I must admit...I was a little disappointed. Some of the special effects were great but the storyline jumped around and never really went anywhere. Introducing characters is a necessary evil, but the Volturi should have been a more pivotal part of the plotline. There's just too much going on here and too fast. I would like to see a facet developed more...pick one--vampires, werewolves, volturi...even Charlie---just get something done without going everywhere. Lastly...I was pretty irritated with the 40-year old woman line--The author of these books is in her late thirties---HELLOOOOOO.

I saw New Moon with my girlfriend and we really liked it. We've read all the books and as accuracy goes, this movie related to the book in almost all areas. The special fx in it were awesome, they did a great job with buffing Jacob up, and Bella looked even better in this one than the last. Can't wait for Eclipse

Jacob was a terrible actor and the other main characters were simply alright. It definitely would appeal to young girls. Both my husband and I read the book and of course as usual the books much better. I will say they stayed somewhat close to the book so that was good. The final scenes in Italy were the best so it left you feeling good at the end of the movie. Some of the acting was a bit cheesy and over the top. Overall not the worst movie but by no means great.

I think they did a great job on New Moon. It was quite a bit different than Twilight, a bit more "dark" which I liked. Loved how they worked the "Bella depression" month after month scene...very creative. There were a few key parts I would have liked to have seen but I guess that goes with any book that's turned into a movie.

As a huge fan of the books, I have to say that Twilight was a huge disappointment for me. It looked so hokey and poorly put together. HOWEVER, I don't know if it's because they got rid of that crack Catherine Hardwick or the actors have just improved on their characters but this movie was done MUCH MUCH BETTER!! Marked improvement. I hope to see an even bigger improvment in Eclipse :)

The ending is really disappointing. Actually, pretty much as soon as Bella goes back to save Edward and leaves Jacob outside of her house, the movie goes 100% downhill. Bella and Edward's characters are pretty boring from that part on-- and there isn't any tangible chemistry. It's not even a competition--team Jacob overshadows the film in every way.... his role is the most interesting... and Taylor is beautiful throughout! He may be 17, but he is SO good to look at :) and a really good actor.
