Loved this movie! It followed the book, which was great. For those who are so-so or didn't care for it....I'd guess that maybe they didn't read the book first? Highly recommend doing that....and believe you'll then love this movie like we did!

New Moon was terrific! I enjoyed every minute of it. I thought it followed the book very closely, and the movie trailers didn't give me any inkling of how good the movie would be. The whole cast did a great job-- and I'm particularly impressed with Taylor Lautner's acting ability. The breakup scene was heart-wrenching! Kristen & Rob did such a good job of portraying the characters' emotions. Only one complaint: the vampire contact lenses were too much, waaay too conspicuous! Hope they toned down the eyes a little in "Eclipse." Other than that, the movie was great! Don't pay any attention to the bad reviews--if you're a fan of the books, you'll enjoy this move.

I liked the movie a lot and appreciated it following the book more in this chapter. I felt a few things from the book got skipped that should have been in it. I was actually drawn more into Twilight which I saw 8 times in the theatre than New Moon. I will see it again once more. Characters had more dept and I liked the way they kept Edward in the story. The wolves were awesome and the ending was awesome. It did not end where I thought it was going to.

Graffic's were good, but some of the key parts of the book were not covered and the essence was lost. Disappointing. First director did a much better job with Twilight.

As always the books are way better than the movies, but as a prior reviewer said Stephanie has so much detail in the books you cant cram it all into the movie, its impossible. I have read all 4 books 5 times (ya, I have no life I guess) I get 'Edward withdrawals' and just have to read them again, loved what she put up of Midnight Sun and cant wait for the book to be completed next year!
That said, The movie rocked! I cant wait to see it again! Its really great and less cheesy than Twilight, which I thought could have been better (but again, look at the book in comparisson, had I not read it would I think that???)
GO SEE IT, HURRY! ;-)

I loved the movie, seems a bit slow, but New Moon is the slowest of the book series. Didn't care for all the Cullens hair changes, since this book followed the first one, seems a bit much. Also since when does a vamps hair grow when non of their other body parts do. Their contacts were more noticeable too. Story line went by the book, not like Twlight, when they movie made up the story. I cant wait to see it again.

I loved twilight soooooooooooo much, and fell in love with it! When i saw New Moon it took everything i had not to scream of joy. i think you should definetly read the books before you see the movie( but i read Twilight after i saw it). i'm definetly team Switzerland! Go Edward and Jacob!

This time they did a GREAT job sticking close to the book and leaving not a whole lot out that would be needed to help understand the next movies (without reading the books--books are STILL better though) This one is the BEST book to movie I've seen in a LOOOONG time!!!!
I am now Team Jacob (on screen) and Team Edward (in the book)!!

This was so much better than Katherine Hardwicke's interpretation of Twilight. Chris Weitz did an awesome job sticking to the book! The action scenes were great! Even the off-book scenes were done well. Congrats!! Can't wait for Eclipse!!

I really enjoyed this movie and look forward to seeing it again soon. The book was brought to life in a way critics don't like but...who cares what professional critics think! I loved the characters, the new director, and the new comedic lines that were added in some parts. I've read each book a few times and really feel like the new director captured the essense of what the writer was trying to portray.

Better than "Twilight" - not as corny. Jacob's character really shines in this movie. If you're not a fan of Jacob, you will be after this movie. Lots of eye candy! LOL! Kristen Stewart brought out Bella's pain and vulnerability in such a way that was believable. Cons - the over application of makeup needs to be toned down a notch, and Jasper's hair was totally butchered in this movie. Other than the minor "cons," this movie is pure entertainment and great fun to watch. The audience was half the fun.

This is the second movie in the Twilight saga and it was wonderfully done. Followed the book to the T and displayed the up and down emotions of the characters. Definitely worth waiting in the long line to get into the movie and can't wait until it comes out on video!

I have to say New Moon turned out waaay better than Twilight. It was packed with more action and the wolves looked very realistic. Also they did a great job casting the Vultori. I was surpirised how much of the book they actually were able to fit into the movie. Can't wait to see how Eclipse turns out.

I thought this movie was great. It really stayed close to the storyline of the book...right down to the way Jacob slept! The way they had Edward show up as if in a dream was perfect as well.
Taylor Lautner is PERFECT as Jacob. I LOVED it...I've seen it twice already & look forward to seeing it again. Can't wait for Eclipse now!
