We went to the Midnight show and I have to say the wait was well worth it. It was very exciting being in the first group to see the movie and my daughter and I both think the movie lived up to its expectations. Of course we are both "Team Edward", but enjoyed the scenes with Jake as a werewolf. I think the ending was great and we're just sorry we have to wait another long year for the next movie. We listened to the CD for several weeks before the movie and it was great seeing what scenes our favorite songs were linked to. Go see the movie - we plan on seeing it again

I liked it a little bit better than the first one only because the wolf fighting scenes. The rest was just as sappy as the first one. I loved the books but I am not impressed with the movies so far. I will say that the soundtrack was really good. I think they should try to tone down the white makeup some and maybe it would be a little better.

I read all the books and fell in love , i thoguht the frist movie was ok, but this one was amazing. I loved the double showing and i cant wait till the next one and I hope they do a triple show i would wait in line all day !

This movie was phenomenal! It had the best representation of a human turning into a werewolf I've ever seen. A little bit choppy plot-wise concerning the trip to and from Italy. Fight scenes between vampires and werewolves were extremely well done, but it left me wanting more. Elegant time-lapse scenes when Bella was left by Edward; heartbreaking depression. Kristen Stuart really came through on her acting ability in this film, much better than in the previous. Can't wait for the next!

Most teenager girls will like this movie for the same reason adult men enjoy horrible movies with scantily clad women. The story itself resembles the exact opposite of what feminists have been fighting decades for. Bella's need of a man to be complete and her portrayal as a weak being only further such ideas about women in general. Then we have to look at the not so subtle analogy between vampires and intercourse. If Bella becomes a vampire(if a woman has intercourse) she will loose her soul and possibly her life. Talk about propaganda! It's alright though, as long as they get married before she looses her soul.
A horrible movie that is only making money because of the teen male "heart throbs" running around shirtless most of the movie.

it was amazing, im a huge twilight fan, ive read all teh books, besides the huge difference between the book and he movie, i did stop breathing a few times :) it was great and the cliffhanger at the end was amazing also!!

I am an avid fan of the Twilight saga books, and was highly disappointed by the first movie installment, so I did not have high hopes for New Moon.
Was I ever wrong.
The acting improved so much so, it was almost as if they were completely different actors. The special effects were excellent, and the message of the books was effectively and beautifully brought on to the screen. I have high hopes for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, and can't wait for them to come out!
P.S. Taylor Lautner IS Jacob Black. Hands down.

Director Chris Weitz got it right! I only wish the first movie was as good. I don't care what the critics say about his directing, because they are not true fans! I can not wait until it comes out on DVD, I might just pay to see it again. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!

Chris Weitz did an amazing job of capturing the heartbreaking emotion on film. Kristen was amazing, she really put her heart and soul into this movie. You can really feel bella's pain. Words can not describe Taylors performance. He really brought Jacob Black to life. Rob was excellent!! The pain in his eyes when hes saying goodbye to bella killed me, it was so much like the book. The wolfs were better than I could have imagined. The sparkling effect was much better this time and more like i pictured it as well as the vampires running. THANK YOU to the cast and Chris!

OMG I have no idea where to begin. I honestly thought it was not going to be as great as Twilight, due to the new director. But WOW it honestly blew me away. Just the trailer had me anxious to see it. Actually sitting there in the theatre I was unable to stop myself from biting my nails just anxiously waiting on what was coming up in the next scene. It was mind blowing, the effects and the actors/actresses are GENUINE.... I love each character they each have their own perspective and talent. I'm honestly looking forward to the next Saga Eclipse. I give it an EXCLUSIVE 10/10!!!! I absolutely Loved it!!

was not worth the 6 hour wait. it seemed to go by to quick. had more fun paying attention to ppl reactions. i would totally not purchase it when it comes out on dvd either. thought the sound track sucked too. think that bella n edward characters didnt really match that of the first movie.

I really liked the movie. I think it was adapted well for screen. I feel like the acting was good and it was actually really funny. I was afraid it would be as depressing as the book was. 1000x's better than Twilight. Although I did like Twilight there was something lacking. Chris Wietz did a Fabulous job intertwining the two and staying true to the book this time.
The special effects could have gone 1 of 2 ways; really great or really cheesy. They were really great:) At one point I had the thought that the wolves were going to jump right out of the screen and into the theater.
Way to go to all of those involved in making this so much better than the first and restoring everyone's faith in these movies

This was an incredible movie, the special effects were awesome, the adapatation flowed smoothly. Rob, Kristen, and Taylor are great actors. I can't wait to see it again. I don't know what I'm going to do til June when eclipse comes out. Definitely buying the DVD.

This was a very good movie, and the only reason i gave it a 4 is beacaus i think kristen stewart is a terrible actress. The cgi was much better than the last movie and it was easier to follow than the last movie

OMG, New Moon was a thousand timess better than Twilight!! :):):)The new director did a great job! In my opinion, the movie followed the book quite well. Theres only so much detail they can fit into 2hrs or however long it was. Team Jacob fans (ick) wont be dissappointed...hes shirtless most of the film, but the abs are totally fake, lol! TEAM EDWARD BABYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<3<3
I would deffinitely recommend you go see this movie if you havnt already! you wont be dissappointed!

The movie was pretty close to the book, so there werent many surprises. I went in knowing that the 2nd book was so desperate and lonely in Bella's piont of view without Edward, but they managed to make it exciting anyway, ony one thing that irritated me was how unemotional Kristin Stewart seemed. I was expecting her to be alot more depressed and tearful. I dont think she cried once. Overall though it was a good movie, cant wait for the next one.

After reading the books and being disappointed by the 1st movie, I didn't expect much from the 2nd however was pleasantly surprised by how much better it is than the 1st. They did a really good job. I'd watch it again.

I thought the overall direction in this movie far surpassed my expectations as well as exceeding the previous film in terms of sticking to the plot of the novel as well as taking the time to develop the characters on a more personal level. I cannot wait to see it again!
The special effects were stunning and again exceeded my expectations. I still think that the sparkling glitter effect is a little kitschy and when I imagined them "sparkling" I envisioned it more as a figurative sparkling and sort of a glowing within but not with all the twinkly sound effects. Maybe it's just me.

Great job re-creating such an awesome book without leaving out too much. I saw it Thursday at midnight and again this afternoon. Will definately buy the DVD when it comes out. The wolf fight sceen and the Victoria chase were awesome!!!! Bella is beautiful and of course the guys were eye candy!

This movie was non-stop action; romance; suspense and so true to the book!! A must see, over and over and over. Chris Weitz did indeed deliver another level of expertise!! Katherine Hardwick set the pace with the best possible cast!! Cannot wait to see Eclipse and Breaking Dawn!!!

Great adaptation of the New Moon story. Melissa Rosenberg did a great job writing the screenplay, it paid for her to consult changes with S. Meyer and the fact that she kept the essence of the saga intact. I enjoyed the movie greatly and loved the ending. But I am a biased Twilight fan... I am curious to see what kind of exeperience new watchers may have.
