The movie was okay, although better than the first. The actors all looked different, and the contacts that they wore to make their eyes yellow (the vampires) looked too bright, very unrealistic. Throughout most of the movie, Edward look sick. The actor looked way too young to be playing the role of Jacob. The wolves looked cool, but were a little too animated and looked a bit fake. I understand that they have to cut quite a lot of the book out and modernize it for today's audience, but, in my opinion, they could have spent a little less time on some things in order to put more of the book into the movie.

I have now watched Twlight and New Moon. I think that the overall charcters did a better job in New Moon. The scenes were better and oh my JACOB was just sooo hot when he took off his shirt and I am no a teenager I am a COUGAR! Both of my daughters 34 & 14 and granddaughters 10 & 14 went to the show on opening day along with me. We all thought it was really awesome and are ready for the next movie. The movie really brought the books to life for me. I only had one complaint that the Werewolfs looked alittle fakey. Other then that the movie was great and I have and will continue to recommend it to everyone.

Having fallen in love with the books, I love watching the action on screen. New Moon's director did a far better job than the director for Twilight. I feel like the actors did a much better job portraying the characters. Jasper, for instance, didn't appear constipated in this flick... Bella didn't sound like a tard, etc. LOL. The only thing about this film that bothered me ever so slightly, was that as the narration gained momentum it became sloppy and much was left out.

This movie was the best yet! I can't imagine whats to come. The story line, the actors ---everything was incredible! The action, the emotions and the dialogue between the actors was mountain better than the first... I love the first movie... But this movie just kicked serious cinema butt!

I would recommend this movie to all friends and family.Chris did a wonderful job staying with the book. The comical one liners added some relief to the total heart break of the situation. The wolves meet all my expectations.
My favorite part was the ENDING!!!!!
What a way to be left hanging.

I thought that New Moon was too fast paced. I knew what was going on because I read all of the books. My fiance couldn't follow everything because it jumped forward through so much of the book that I think it took away from the story a bit. I think the director cut out too much.

A very good interpretation of the book, with extra Edward snippets. The book itself moves pretty slowly, with a disturbing lack of vampires in the middle, which is reflected in the movie. There were certainly groan-worthy moments (Alice's vision of the future, Jacob whispering something in Quileute), but overall it was very entertaining. The high school humans were fantastic and completely believable, but Billy Burke didn't nail Charlie as well as he did in the first movie (too animated this time). The special effects were much better than in Twilight , the vampire fight scene was great and I loved the music.

but it really wasn't a bad movie. I came into the Twilight saga hating it because i'd be interested in it if it wasn't such a Fad. I watched the first movie about a week ago because my friend who was going got ditched by her friends that were going to go to New Moon with her. The first one wasn't too good. New Moon though was actually pretty good. Very well done CG and Jacob is just yummy. There was also more action in it so that made it more entertaining for me(i'm an action freak) I would recommend this movie to everyone.

My wife had advanced tickets, got a refund because the theater over sold, stood in line for 3 hours for tickets and LOVED the movie. Taylor Lautner however I could do without, terrible acting, guy was not one bit believeable. Everything else was great. The background, music dialog was fantastic. The last scene had my wife and the crowd extanished and talking all the way out.

Definitely for tweens. Liked the music. I wasn't the only one laughing out loud (or groaning!) at the script writing and the theater was full. Special effects were good in some scenes and poor in others. Stick to the books and pass on the movies.

As someone who thinks Stephanie Meyer is a literary genius, I was extremely pleased by the way New Moon, the novel, was portrayed on screen. Twilight Saga fans will not be let down by the movie version of the book. I'm definitely planning on seeing it again in the theater!

New Moon is the next chapter to Twilight. I loved the movie. I enjoy movies that has action, and romance at the same time. I really recommend to at least read half of the book and then watch the movie. Many people interpret the movie as "lame" or "wack". It's not wack or anything, but it just seems to not make sense if you watch the movie without have at least read some of the book. I give this movie an A. I think its a family fun movie, and it doesn't matter the age.

For those "Twilight" Fans - that have read the books, and have eagerly anticipated the second movie. I thought they did a wonderful job in showing Jacob's transformation, and the desperation & heartache that Bella felt after Edward abandoned her. I did feel that they could have done a better job in more thoroughly explaining the Volturi, and their role in the Vampire world. Also the scene when Bella keeps Edwards from revealing his true self to the Humans, could have been better. But still over all really enjoyed the movie, and can't wait till the next one.

I'm still shocked. New Moon is much better than Twilight so if you though that was good then you're gonna fall in love with the second one. The affects are better and so is the acting and the script. I'm defiantly going to see it a couple more times in the movie theater. Chris Weitz did an amazing job and I hope he comes back for Breaking Dawn. 5 stars.

I loved New Moon because I thought it was more like the book than Twilight was. I know a few parts of the book were cut from the movie and that certain parts were switched around a bit, but at least the content was the same. I have seen it twice so far and plan on going more.

"I am a HUGE Twilight fan... this movie gave me a whole different view of my favorite characters. I am a Jacob fan for the Movies, but an Edward Fan for the books. In my opinion Robert Pattison does not play the part well, but since he isnt in the movie much it doesnt ruin it to bad. The graphics and special effects are awesome... and they actually stayed in line with the book. Twilight the movie was horrible to me, but New Moon was fantastic... MUST SEE!!!!"

For fans of the Twilight books, this film lives up to expectations. It is a faithful presentation of the storyline in the novel. The actors are growing in their roles. Taylor Lautner gets his chance to shine in this one. If someone has not read the books, it would be best to at least see the movie version of Twilight before viewing New Moon. I look forward to the film version of Eclipse.

New Moon was exciting and sexy throughout - the boys were both smoldering and rocking. For the first time I actually like Jacob as a character. Taylor Lautner brought something new and different to Jacob as a character - and it comes out much more likeable and much less whiney than Jacob in the books. They also took out some of his character's less flattering scenes.
The one thing I didn't really love about the movie was Bella. For some reason, she just seems a bit dead (and yes for part of the movie that's part of the plot) - but for the scenes when I really wanted her to BRING it, she just didn't really do that. For the scene that should have been the pinnacle of emotion/the climax of the movie, she blew it a little bit.

I love how the movie looks similar to what I imagined as I read the books. Of course, I believe the books will always be better than any movie representation--I will still buy the movies when they come out in the complete saga. Time constraints are hard to deal with when putting a movie together from a book. Futhermore, I like Edward's character, but I vote Team Jacob with this movie. Taylor did justice to the role.

This has been said a lot, but the book, though better than the first, wasn't that great. The movie was much better. Even though it actually followed the book very closely, it worked much better on the screen than in the drawn out book. The acting and direction was better than in the first movie, and I left wanting to see it again. Can't wait for the next movie in the series!
