i was counting down the days then hours b4 new moon premeired. I absolutely loved it and yummy Jacob beinig shirtless throughout most of movie wasnt the only reason i loved it. it was 10x better then twilight now counting down for eclipse june 30 cant wait.

I think this movie was extremely well done. I love the Twilight series, but New Moon was my least favorite of the bunch and the movie really made me like the book more. The special effects were great and the connection between the characters was very strong. I also really liked how they stayed true to the story wherever possible. Cannot wait for Eclipse in June!

I am far from a teenager or tween...however, I am a long time fan of vampires & werewolves...waaay before Twilight. The first film Twilight was ok ...the actors were not that great (just pretty faces with an excellent script to attempt to bring to the screen). In New Moon on the other hand the actors seem to have evolved into their characters more & I was very pleased to see they kept the movie in line with the book as well. I was also pleased with the special effects of the werewolves. I would watch this film again & recommend it to others.

Exceptionally better than Twilight! Jacob and Alice by far portrayed their part exceptionally well! Would have actually preferred to see whoever plays Alice to play Bella! Rob did okay, nothing spectacular. I think I would have enjoyed the movie if it was a little less juvenile, but being a "Tween" movie I'm not sure they could change too much.

I'm on the fence for this one. It was OK, but not excellent. It was only needed to be watched to get to the next one.
I didn't feel the romance between bella and edward like the first movie. Hoping Eclipse will be better. Still thinking Taylor is not that good of an actor.

I thought this movie was great but I feel that if the movie was shortened by about 20 minutes (meaning taking out all of the unneeded, drawn out monolougues) the movie would've been even better. Chris Weitz did great things with this movie; I never expected the special effects to look so real! But like one of the other reviewers said, there were a couple of cheesy romantic scenes that kind-of took away from the movie... And one final comment; Jacob Black is supposed to be cocky, mean, an a**hole with a bunch of attitude added on top of that, and I feel that Taylor Lautner could've done a better job of portraying that. Other than that his acting was fine, just needs to learn to be a tad bit more mean. But loved the movie!

I am a fan of the Twilight Series books. I've
read them twice. I loved how the first movie Twilight was interpreted.
I think Hardiwicke's directing was spot on
and the transitions between scenes worked
well. New Moon however, seemed choppy
and it felt like it jumped from one scene to the next. I miss the transitional flow Hardiwicke
mastered in the first movie. The color was a great improvement. I know that not everything can be in the movie from the novel, but so many subtle things were taken out, that it was disappointing and incomplete.
What is with the bug-like gold contacts?
they looked cartoonish on the actors.
Not sure how wise it is to use a different director for each movie - seems like you'd want the continuity.

I was excited to see the movie was exactly like the book and better than Twlight. Even though I did like Twlight I felt that New Moon had so much more to it. Jacob and Bella's chemistry was awesome and the way they would show her thinking of Edward was great. I even like how they incorporated Victoria into the plot making us wanting more. Can not wait the next one. It was a great movie and this one I would see again

New Moon was definitely worth the wait. Of course some moments are kinda cheesy, but for the most part this movie is amazing. There was alot more of Jacob.. which the audience seemed to love and the ending just makes you wonder. All in all i'd have to say Summit did an outstanding job on this film.

As a fan of Twilight and the series of books I was more than excited to see New Moon, however I couldn't help but feel disappointed. New Moon seemed to emphasize the special effects more than the storyline, Kristen Stewart's acting made me cringe throughout the whole movie, and I felt there were some very cheesy parts of the movie that seemed to dumb it down. I felt like the other actors did a fantastic job with their characters except Kristen as Bella. She ruined the movie for me plain and simple.

This movie was everything I wanted it to be and MORE! After I was slightly disappointed that Twilight was not so much like the book, I was thrilled that they decided to stick to the book more for New Moon. They acting was upped a big step as were the actors. Big props to Taylor for putting on all that muscle. He also did some work on his acting. Its funny that the movie seemed to be so much more real than the first, considering all the cg work that had to be done for the wolves. That's my next rave. How amazing did the wolf pack make things? From beginning to end, everyone and everything played perfectly for this movie. I am 100% going to see this one again. Going to be hard waiting for it to come out on DVD.

As a fan of the twilight series, i was skeptical as to what the quality of the twilight movies would be. i have come to embrace the fact that the movies will never be the same as the books, so i watched new moon with an open mind after being disappointed from the inaccuracies of twilight. i felt that overall new moon was better done than twilight. the story was great, of course, and the editing and special effects were much better. however i think that the acting of the supporting roles (mike, alice,, charlie, etc) was way better than edward or bellas. they may fit the roles physically, but they need help in acting. jacob was done excellently though. so, all in all, it was a decent movie. and of course, despite its flaws, i loved it.

I can't state how much I enjoyed this movie. From the awesome opening credits to the very almost Soprano like ending I was hooked. It's amazing what having a good director will do for a film! I can't wait to see this movie again next week.

This is a great movie!!!!! I haven't read the books and I won't. I want to be surprised. Taylor Lautner is soooo cute even though I'm 33 and he's like 17. My fave is Edward cause he's closer to my age but who cares. The only thing I didn't like was the "cliff hanger". C'mon....I gotta wait that long?

As a complete twilight book lover i expect the movies to stay true the books Twilight was not nearly what i expected to be &it missed a lot of main points &honestly i feared that new moon would have the same problem and the would stray away from the bookto much but not even close the graphics were great and it was everything id hoped for. they stayed as close to the book as possible and all the stuf they added was perfect the fight scenes were very exciting &the actors they added were perfect &as for the ending they could of only done it some many ways &it be done right they picked the way that left you wanting more thank heavens for the bigger budget and new director.

I enjoyed the movie but felt it could have been directed better. There were parts that were very unrealistic such as when Jacob resusitates Bella on the beach. Water is dribbling out of her mouth but she doesnt sputter or cough when she regains consciousness. I also didnt sense Edwards underlying charm that was present in the first movie. Bella's roll was well played at times and missed the mark at other times I felt like the rolls of Jacob and Alice were well done.
