I was wheedled into going to the midnight showing. Biggest waste of my life. The movie was awful, just as bad as the 1st. The overly melodramatic parts were numerous and so painful to watch that I found myself laughing at the awfulness. I wasn't the only one laughing to - the audience laughed throughout the movie where I don't think the movie intended to be funny. The acting is god awful - script is terrible.
Go if you want to have a good laugh but that's about it. If you want to watch campy vampire watch TrueBlood.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

For any Twilight die-hard, this movie was awesome! It was very close to the events of the book. You definately have your heart strings pulled for Jacob. One thing I wasn't crazy about was the Volturi "lair" - It was too grand - an elevator???????
The werewolves are as hot as promised and the Aro was spot on!
I can't wait to see it again!

I think it was much better than the first movie. Jacob and Edward were amazing in their roles. It was action packed and the action scenes were longer and powerful. The movie is entertaining even if you are not a fan. Go see it.

it was a great movie. it seemed like the time flew by so fast. it stayed true to the book. edward and kristen were perfect in this movie once again. they are great actors. i acutally cried during the parts of the movie when kristen was upset. this movie topped the first one so i cant wait to see the next. ive already seen this movie at the theater 3 times now and i loved it !

I have the series so I of course was looking forward to this movie.By the end you'll really be on team Jacob. Sure they oversell his abs, but there's no denying his appeal!
However the actress,not to be mean, but the first half of the movie she's very cross-eyed. It's such a distraction.
The volturi scene was quick, really the movie was kind of rushed. The ending ha! My sister left dissapointed, If you don't know the book, your left duped. Worth watching even if your not a huge fan, and if you are, at least Jacob Black is there to look at.
I was actually happier with Edward, except when he takes off his shirt >> but his acting is more natural than others. Hardly see the cullens though. shame.

I saw it the first day it came out and then again the day after that. I really enjoyed it, of course!
The only criticism I have is that it is confusing for someone who hasn't read the books because they leave out a lot of explanation.
But it is still fun to watch with romance, love triangles, action, fighting, and comedy! Everything you could want in a movie!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon had to be one of the greatest movies i had ever seen. Perfect acting. It was more like the book than twilight except for the end [Spoiler] when edward wants her to marry him.

My daughters and my wife, wanted me to see twilight the first movie and I thought it was okay.
New Moon blows it out of the water, everything about it, the scenery was even better. I want to live in Forks now.
Anyone that doesn't enjoy this movie should see it again just in case they missed something.

I was very disappointed after seeing this movie. I felt like they tried to squeeze everything that happened in the book into a short period of time. They did not do a good job of developing Bella and Jacob's relationship. It was very choppy and I did not like it at all. I prefer the book for sure. I also felt like Kristen Stewart over acted and Robert Pattinson under acted.

So you saw twilight or read and you were totally hooked right? Then this will be the movie for you. This movie is the book springing to life for an exciting 2 hours. Team edward were sorry but it aint about you this time, its team Jacob all the way. He carries the focus of the movie and the reaches the title teen heart throb all at once. I have to admit he wasn't the greatest actor(he is only 17) but he was soooo good looking I dont think he received any complaints from his fans(especially when his shirt is off). I recommend this movie to everyone its entertaining enough just to laugh at all the oss and ahs fro the audience, I sure did.

i went and saw new moon at the midnight showing and it truely was amazing. even though it wasn't exactly like the book, the storyline fit perfectly. it had the love triangle, the action, the heartbreak, the speed and perfect special effects. i can't wait to see what they've done with eclipse. new moon was perfect in every way.

Totally worth the wait to see. I thought it was a little slow at first, but picked right up. Very proud of Jacob for bulking himself up and showing he wanted to play the wolf. You would know with all the screaming girls! The movie portrays Edward & Bella love so well, you can tell they really do love each other, and Jacob was outstanding. His love for Bella was shown perfect, could they be together or not. The movie kept you in suspense. The ending....who knew you would end a movie like that. Great idea, your keeping us on the edge of our seats for Eclipse.

Awesome movie! I took my daughter, neice, and nephew to this movie for my birthday and we were all wanting to go back in to see it again when it was over! We have read all of the books. And unlike Twilight, which was still good, New Moon stuck to the book the whole way!! We all loved it and I will definitly buy this one when it comes out on dvd! We may even go back to see it again a few times before it leaves the theatres!!! EXELLENT MOVIE!!! Don't wait to get your tickets, they sell out quick!

New Moon is an amazing improvement since twilight. Its use of animation for the wolves and fight scenes are incredible. When I saw twilight the whole time the movie was playing girls and moms were screaming, during New Moon everyone was silent and left speechless. At one point in the movie it got to me so much I almost cried. It is the best installment of Stephenie Meyers so far and is well worth the money to see.

i don't see the big deal about these movies...acting is very mediocre, essentially all action sequences were shown in the trailer. these movies are definitely for kids. with that said, these should be shown on the WB primetime movie of the week...move over twilight, make room for true blood and other vampire movies, that involve fangs and don't have glow in the sun scratch and sniff characters. and for the main character, can we say drama?? why would anyone want to be with the chick?? i saw no upside, and these two guys are fighting over her miserable company..gimme a break.

I absolutely loved it. I went to the midnight showing. It was definately worth the wait and I know that eclipse will be too. I have read all the books and I am obsessed with this series. Of course Taylor Lautner shirtless is reason enough to go to this movie...I really think it was better than Twilight and the small liberties taken in modifying the story were not at all distracting. There is a great balance of Bella's sense of loss and humor. The filming is great, the colors are wonderful. The only things I didn't like was Alice's clothes and the bad wigs on Alice and Rosalie. The music was AMAZING.
