My husband & I took our 4 yr old to see this movie - her first movie at a theater & our first 3D movie. We all enjoyed it and had fun! It held our little girls attention from beginning til end! The movie was a good story for us all including the 3D effects. Length of movie good also!

My wife and I were thrilled with the movie. I am not against sex and violence in movies, just too much. There was none in this wonderful movie and it was exciting. You can identify with the characters. The characters were fabulous. Most of the time, with the music scenery and effects you would swear you were watching the latest, and best, James Bond movie but dogs and cats are the stars. Can't say enough good things about this movie in every way.

While not quite the "Home Run", this movie is certainly entertaining. I had chosen to see it at an off time, early morning during a work day. I thought this would get me a quiet theater, but alas school started the next day and I was greeted with several groups of very young children also attending the same showing. I was sure that I was about to sit through a torturous hour and a half, but was I wrong. The movie caught their attention and I never heard a peep out of any of them. I think I was the one making most of the noise, being unable to resist a few guffaws during the showing. The main story line is kid-easy to follow, but at the same time the movie is intelligent enough to engage the adult mind also. There was a secondary story line too about trust and thinking before you act that some of the older kids might pick-up on, but definitely could be aimed at the adult audience. Over all I would not hesitate to recommend this movie to anyone who's young or young at heart.

My family and I have been big fans of the first Cats and Dogs and were eager to watch this. My children (7 & 10) really enjoyed it but not as much as the first one, which is still a lot of fun to watch. I agree with them. But, overall, definitely worth a watch and a better value as a DVD rental.

If you like German Shepherds, you will enjoy the CG animation of the Shepherd.
However, if you also like a good story, you are out of luck.
The plot is entirely predictable. The whole film rests on being cute, whimisical, and allusive E.g. too many arch allusions to James Bond (which 10 yr-olds get) and Silence of the Lambs (which 10 yr-olds don't get at all).
My spouse was able to sleep. I just comforted/distressed myself with the fact that the kids were enjoying it (and that it was only about 80 mins long).
We could have spent that $60 much more profitably!

This was a good movie that was entertaining to both children and parents. The story line was good with enough action to keep the attention of 5-7 year olds. I would definately recommend.

I thought this movie to be very boring. In fact, I fell asleep in the very beginning and woke up several times during the movie.
My 8 yr old son enjoyed it so that is the only reason I did not walk out of the movie.

Some of the sayings the animals did were out of understanding for smaller children. I can remember back to the Chic and Chong movies and that was what one part was trying to re-inact. I got it , but smaller children did not. This movie did not need 3-D. There are not enough WOW moments in it to make it 3-D. Just could have made it a regular show and I would have rated it higher.
