Save the Money. 3D is not worth it without a plot

If you like German Shepherds, you will enjoy the CG animation of the Shepherd.
However, if you also like a good story, you are out of luck.
The plot is entirely predictable. The whole film rests on being cute, whimisical, and allusive E.g. too many arch allusions to James Bond (which 10 yr-olds get) and Silence of the Lambs (which 10 yr-olds don't get at all).
My spouse was able to sleep. I just comforted/distressed myself with the fact that the kids were enjoying it (and that it was only about 80 mins long).
We could have spent that $60 much more profitably!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
