This is the best Marvel Movie since the second Spider-Man movie because it goes back to Marvel's core--flawed heroes. The inter-personal relationships between the characters is brought to the forefront the entire movie. Yes, the action sequences are awesome, and Scarlett in her suit is amazing. However, the relationships are what make this movie great. Can't wait for the next Avengers-Arc movie.

Producer/Director Jon Favreau, topped his prior MARVEL master piece w/ Iron Man 2. Mickey Rourke did a phenominal job as the Russian and the performance by Robert Downey Jr was as good (funny and convincing) if not better than in the 1st Iron Man movie. I'll likely pay to see this movie a few more times before it leaves the big screen and will DEFINITELY be adding this flick to my MARVEL collection when it's released on DVD/Blue Ray.

I did not think I would care too much for this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised; all supporting characters/actots were excellent, especially Russian charachter by Mickey Rourke.

Typical sequel. This is what happens when you take the ideas of the previous film and spread them out too thin. In the attempt to make a grander spectacle they ramp up the "intensity" and all that manages to do is make the film more "busy". Rourke was by far and away the best part of this one....I enjoyed his character tremendously. Did NOT care for the Rhodey replacement AT ALL. Worth a look for sure but not near as good as the first. Oh..Im not a comic book geek either so that little "scene" after the credits....makes NO sense.

Now, comic-book flicks are not my forte, so take this review with that in mind. I thoroughly enjoyed the first Iron Man; this one, I only kinda liked. It was funny here and there, but something was missing. Something I can't quite put my finger on. It dragged in many spots (I don't need nonstop actions, in fact I'm more a dialogue-lover--but not for a movie like this) and I caught myself dozing briefly a time or two.
All that said, I'm still mulling over that internal question running through my mind since this movie: If given the opportunity, would I, uhm, take Gwyneth or Scarlett?

I must say this movie really was excellent and it really tied up a lot of loose ends from the first one. Downey gives another top notch performance as Stark and Cheadle's performance as Lt Colonel James Rhodes really adds greater dimension to the movie and his character. Both really worked well together by complimenting each other's character. Paltrow, Rourke, Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson round out the cast with equally stellar performances.
I must say that Rourke's and Cheadle's roles were real meaty especially Cheadle's turn as Rhodes whose character has more dimensions added. The technology and action really blew me away as it was way more in this sequel. Yet the movie really showed us the vulnerability of Stark as he must battle his own demons as well as the constant pressure to be Ironman as well as himself. Check this movie out as you won't be dissapointed. I give this two thumbs up.

This movie is ballin. The way I see it is like watching Michael Jordan dunkin over Manut Boll & Shakil Onil at the same time. Another example is watching Transformers while battling Godzilla & Kingkong. That's how Freakanawesome it was! Or even better, having Chuck Norris throw a roundhouse kick at Abdul Jabbar's Thunder Glutus Maximus 5500*700. So it was pretty worth it. ;)

I loved this Iron Man sequel. It had massive action and stunning effects while being funny and technically interesting. If I could ask one more thing from the movie, it would be a better look at the maniacal inner response of Vanko as he acted out his plan under the watch of Hammer. I think interesting tension could have been built by letting viewers see what Hammer couldn't see going on inside Vanko's head and with his actual vs. stated accomplishments.
