As to be expected, the special effects were amazing but I did not like the "over-the-top" acting, direction, of this movie. Some characters (Hammer and even Stark) were too plastic and actually unlikeable. Perhaps an effort was made to make it more like a comic book but that did not work for me. See it? Yes, if you like action and effects but a DVD rental will work fine for this movie.

It was 125 minutes of fun!!! Each character did a fabulous job from Mickey Rourke as Blacklash to Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. I even loved John Favreau as happy Hogan. The sequel brings a deeper quality to the characters you have already met and presents the new characters right on cue. Pay attention to the one-liners because they are classic! Can't wait for Iron Man 3!!!

First the caveats: I am a comic fanboy and geek, so take that for what it's worth, but I liked it. I thought it was just as good as the original. I think the first one had the benefit of taking us by surprise how good it was, so people who don't think it is need to take that into account. But I feel like Favreau and company followed the natural course of the characters and gave us an interesting story. I feel bad for Don Cheadle in that the character of Rhodey is still not given QUITE enough to do in the movie, and I feel bad we only get to see a short bit of Scarlet Johansen kick butt after all her training, but the star has always been and will be RDJ and he did a great job. Go see it now!

I liked the action in this movie. I only wished I 'd seen it in IMAX. Scarlett Johansson's character kicked butt. I also thought Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell and Samuel L. Jackson were all awesome. Jon Favreau was also great and funny. I liked the sequel just as much as the first Iron Man. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD. This is definitely a movie I would love to have in my movie collection.

when the movie first comes on you'll be in awe of mickey rourke's character. he does a good impression of a russian villian. later when they show iron man's many suits, it starts to set in the magnitude of his armor, his suit, his weapon. his computer with it's ability to dissect and re-assemble his father's dream model will leave you amazed at the special effects. don cheadle was great as his second man and scarlet johansson made a women agent look easy to kick ass. this movie was action packed from start to finish. it will be the first time you'll feel sorry for a CEO of a company Gwenteth Paltrow because she does it so well. And then there's Sam Rockwell, makes you want to hit him from the minute you meet him. To paraphrase what Samuel L Jackson said in the movie, i got my eye on seeing this movie again.

If you're looking for a fun, loud, action-packed way to spend a couple of hours in a theater, this is your movie. Because it's a sequel, it doesn't have to set up the characters for you the way the first film did, so you don't see the gravitas of the Tony Stark transformation from arms dealer to hero. But in true sequel fashion, you get more of what you loved in the first movie - action, fantastic effects, and Robert Downey, Jr. If you read Iron Man and Avengers comic books as a kid, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow make fabulous sense. Sam Rockwell as Tony Stark's rival Justin Hammer is just terrifically smarmy and a delight to watch. Don Cheadle works his part with the emotion and solid style you expect from him - sorry, Terrence Howard, but I kinda didn't miss you. Of course, because it's a sequel, some people may be disappointed in certain aspects of the movie, and it does look like it's setting up the next few movies in the Marvel pantheon (okay, I'd love to see Scarlett Johansson in her own movie, but I hope the producers remember the fiasco that was "Elektra."). All in all, a fun time for the family!

I had low expectations walking into the theater because of rumors I had heard, but the movie was terrific! Grabbed my attention from the very beginning and kept me on the edge of my seat for two hours. Storyline and character integration a bit "cookie cutter," but true to the Marvel name! Great acting, solid directing, unbelievable special effects. Also enjoyed the "bonus" flick at the end after the credits.

Yes the movie gave us all the action we needed and yes it was a little slow in parts. Slow but with a meaning. As everyone knows "Iron Man", the "HULK" are building blocks leading to the largest movie of all. The movie that is coming needs a lot of plot development and backround. These movies now and the upcoming "Thor", "Captain America" and so on will set the mood for the "Advengers" Epic to come.

Robert Downey Jr was great as always the 2nd time around. He definitely has come along way since he had a set back a few years ago. His movies so far have been good. I was surprised to see Mickey Rourke again. He actually was not that bad in Iron Man 2. I would to see him in more roles as well. He also had a minor set back but he seems to be holding his own.

While IM2 was shiny and cool, at times it was underwhelmed with too many characters and gaps of drama cinema. I was expecting an overload of action, and instead I got an incoherent story torn between old love, a new crush, a brush with death, and some bad blood between fathers & sons. Although I love Samuel L. Jackson his part was unnecessary. Scarlett Johansson was SO hot!! Maybe the new Wonder Woman?? I enjoyed Sam Rockwell's character the best, hands down. Mickey Rourke & Don Cheadle were forgettable. When there was action it was on point and riveting, but there were too many slow gaps which actually makes this not a must see in the theater. However, most of America was pulled into the hype.

Lots of times the sequel doesn't hold up to the original. In this case it did. Was very entertaining and lots of appropriately placed humor during this flick Would certainly reccomend this movie to others.

IF you are looking to be entertained-then see this movie. Definitely not as good as the first movie. I love Mickey Rourke-but question the Director's Villian choice. It is safe to take your kids to see, which we enjoyed together. Don Cheadle was great, Didn't miss Terrance Howard at all.
