If you take this movie for what it is - superhero action based on a comic book - then you will not be disappointed. We learn more about Tony Stark's background, new characters are introduced, and there's plenty of action that keeps it exciting. Robert Downey Jr. gives it 110% of course, and I really enjoyed the relationship between Tony Stark and Don Cheadle's character. I think the choice of Mickey Rourke as the bad guy is perfect. It was fun and enjoyable escapism!

The movie was 2 hours and 5 minutes long. It took well over an hour to finally get to the plot. Too much time trying to get us to like, or hate the characters. Most the characters were from the first movie so we did not need a long re-introduction to those characters. The special effects were good and the fight scenes were cool. Ending was great

The first 10 minutes and the last hour were fun. In between it was interminable. I haven't looked at my watch so much since final exams in grad school. With all the money, the cast, the special effects and the director, you'd think they could have figured out how to pass the time setting up the story better. There is NO chemistry between Paltrow and Downey. Scarlett is great.

It's too bad that the story line was so weak because there were some redeaming qualities to this movie with Robert Downey Jr. & Mickey Rourke as the main characters. They put in fine performances but it didn't make up for the mediocre, at best, plot. The graphics were cool though and, for what it's worth, my 12 year old son thought the movie was "awesome."

Ironman 2 had some really, really, really great moments. Fantastic special effects. A silly story line. One thing I had an issue with was feeling sorry for Whiplash. I mean, Stark stole from this guy's father, the son had every right to seek revenge. But loved the introduction of war machine, and black widow! ScarJo was awesome as black widow! And loved the secret scene at the end. FANTASTIC!

I thought I was just grandma taking her grandson and friends to a movie. Instead I ended up enjoying the movie as much, if not more than the boys did. Well balanced with action and downtime. I've never really liked Gwyneth Paltrow but she was pretty good in this one. Robert Downey, Jr. was fabulous, as always.

My sons and I loved this movie it was a great way to spend time together and forget about things. The story could have used some help but overall (for being rushed in to production) it was enjoyable. I recommend this to anyone that needs an ecape for 2 hours.

First 20 mins were slow, but story pulled together well. There were parts wish they could have expanded more (more with Mickey Rourke, especially at the end). They threaded in a lot of plotlines well (Avengers, etc). My whole family loved the movie.

This movie rocked. Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect person to play Iron Man. I loved Scarlett Johansen in this movie. She really kicked butt. A different role than what I'm used to seeing her in. Although I have to say Micky Rourke is the best vilan. He has that characteristic of a bad boy and this was the perfect movie. I did think that Don Cheadle handled the Colonel role much better than Terence Howard. I really couldn't have imagined Terence playing this role because he's more laid back and this sequel was more involved. As always Jon Faverau was awesome. He always has the best movies. Was surprised he directed this. Job well done.

Not quite as good as IM1 or The Wrestler, but Robert Downey Jr, Mickey Rourke, and especially Scarlett Johanssen made it a good 2 hours at the theatre. Ill see IM3 im sure.

Very campy, childish, lost it's rough edge from the first one. I do appreciate the action and special effects, but would have liked to see a better storyline and a movie geared towards adult moviegoers, not just kids.
