While it was a little over the top, it was a fun movie to watch. Both my wife and I enjoyed it completely. There's nothing in common with the old TV show other than the character names.

I LOVED this movie. I took my son (he is too young to remember the TV show) and we were glued to our seats! It has humor, action and the stunts were great! He loved it as much as I did. Excellent casting for each role! This Team will go a long way. Can't wait for the next 4 sequels! It's so good I'm going to go and see it again!

I saw this movie with my husband for our anniversary.. he got to see the show he loved as a kid made into a movie and I got to see Bradley Cooper. It was win win.
Turns out I actually enjoyed the movie.. we ended up both loving the movie. Yes the action sequences were a little over the top but I didn't really expect them not to be. We will def get this on DVD.

I loved this movie!! I took my husband to see it for our anniversary as a surprise, and we BOTH loved it. It had just the right amount of humor to balance the action. Good clean humor with minimal language. You don't have to remember the original A-Team to enjoy this movie, but if you do, you will like it even better. When it comes out, we will buy it not redbox it. A Must See!!!

I had hopes for the Liam Neeson performance after "Taken", but he was only OK and the rest of the cast was mediocre. The special efffects were overblown so much that I lost my ability to suspend disbelief. Beyond that, the print was very bad, with scratch-like lines through much of the movie. This experience reminded me to watch things on cable instead of in theater. I was thinking of buying a bigger TV anyway.

I initially didn't want to see this movie because from the previews I thought it looked really stupid. However, with Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper, you had to wonder if it wasn't "okay" rather than stupid. Also, many people I'd talked to LOVED the movie! So, we went yesterday and took my 10 year old son and 15 year old daughter. Son's review-it was awesome and my new favorite movie. Daughter's review-it was okay, had some funny parts and not as bad as I expected. My husband liked it. I was pleasantly surprised. It was funny but my mother alarm was going off with a lot of the crude/bad language. This was the kind of language that you don't want your children repeating and becoming part of their everyday repertoire. I wasn't offended by the violence and action, as you'd see that on tv nowadays anyway! However, with the language, there was a reason for the PG-13 rating! The film blended some of the old show clips and theme into it but still held its own. This was a pretty entertaining film, as long as you are 13 and above or cover your ears!

Excellant special effects. They blow everything up. Way better than the late 70's - early 80's TV series. My bones ached everytime they landed hard.

Movies cover a lot of territory. Some are Art, some are Message, some are Inspiration - the list goes on and on. Many reviewers criticize movies for not falling into the niche they want them to occupy. 'The A-Team' is probably denigrated by a lot of people in this way. Me, I think it was first and foremost Just Plain Entertainment. And that's fine - there's room enough in the world for films like that. Not everything needs to be 'Gone With The Wind'.
It was entertaining, it was action-packed, and it was true to its origins. If you liked the original series, you'll like this film. Even if you didn't care for the original, you may find yourself enjoying this movie. Because while the producers could have settled for just rehashing the TV show, they took it another step - they added some depth. I was not a tremendous fan of the show, but I liked this movie - a lot - because the characters were made a little more human.
We get to see some back story, as well as more personality and some self-doubt, to go along with all the chases and explosions. And that was a very welcome flavor. Did they turn it into Great Cinematic Art? Of course not. But they did manage to both pay homage to some fond memories and stay true to them while making them a bit less cardboard. That's not always easy to do, or successful.

The A-team is a fun action packed testosterone indusing adventure. Neeson is excellent in this role. Of course, the the movie does not have the emotional involvement of "Taken", but he fill this role completely without any if only.. Hopefully the next movie in the series will meet or even exceed this one maybe with a unique plot line.

If you remember the original "A-Team", then you will enjoy this movie. It shows you what Hannibal and the boys could have done if the original show hadn't been constrained by early 80's television censorship. I loved the in-jokes that were put in, like the including of Dwight Schultz's ST:TNG character in the credits of the fake 3D "movie" being shown when he was broken out of the hospital, and then after the credits there are scenes of "new" Face, Bradley Cooper, meeting "old" Face, Dirk Benedict, and then Dwight Shultz acting as a doctor during Murdoch's electro-shock therapy. Hilarious!
