We laughed so hard during this movie, so did everyone else in the theatre. The characters are likeable. I'm an old radio person so it really appealed to me. The music is incredible. If you like classic tunes and have somewhat of a rebellious nature, Pirate Radio will appeal to you.

Hoot of a movie. Great music. Terrific acting. It's one of those movies that you get into from the first musical note and you stay with all they way to the end. Not only did I like it, but we went with a senior and with a 16 year old and everybody loved the movie.

This movie was fantastic! The actors all played their parts incredibly, and who doesn't like a movie that includes some of the best music of all time. If you aren't a fan of movies with dry humor, drugs, and rock and roll (obviously), you probably will have no interest in this movie, or just about any movie! It was well worth the money, and the just over 2 hours of sitting. As someone with a short attention span at times, I have had many movies lose my interest, but this was not one of them.

Absolutely hilarious movie. Still has some drama, but not too much. Hoffman, Nighy, Branaugh, Frost, and Davenport all give great performances. And don't forget the great music throughout the movie.

If you enjoy dry, witty, off the cuff British humor, add a little twisted Phillip Seymor Hoffman (Twister) then go see Pirate Radio. The rock music of the mid sixties alone will get you "tapping your feet and moving in your seat". When Pirate Radio has strangers laughing and talking to each other about it all the way to the car in the theater parking lot, you know its good!

It was a very entertaining 2 hours of watching some interesting characters bring back memories of a time and especially of music that still means something to me. I did not know about this event in history and would like to know more now. Definitely would recommend to my friends.

Pirate Radio is a blast. Funny, sweet and rhythmic, it will have you laughing and dancing at the same time. Phillip Seymore Hoffman and Bill Nighy head a fine cast.
This film made me remember how powerful music is and how bad its gotten over the years.

If you like the whole british sophisticated, situational comedy, meant for people who are educated above their intelligence then you will probably find this movie funny. If you prefer the crass type of comedy like Road Trip, or Borat this movie may not deliver for you. It's a good story, realistic (its loosely based on a true story), laughable (some funny parts) but its not much different then anything you would find on prime time TV (in a comedy show), except its longer, and costs $8.00. I wouldn't add it to my DVD collection.
