If you're going to see this movie expecting Oscar winning performances, then stay home. I definitely got my money's worth. Sadly, the director's lack of faith in God is very apparent. Otherwise, the special effects and suspense are at a new level in this movie.

I like the way it took some things from real life and then just took them way over the top for a roller coaster adventure. The only parts that I did not enjoy were the scenes in India and Japan where it is implied about the children dying a terrible death but fortuantely it is not shown.

Movie was okay in general - epic special effects. The fact that the movie was made to scare people I don't like. No one knows what really is going to happen come 2012 and the previews before the movie came out told people to Google 2012 to find out the truth. This movie has lots of great special effects. Woody Harrelson is really good in his small role and of course John Cusack is good. I really enjoyed the performance by Chiwetel Ejifor, who plays Adrian Hemsley in the film. I would recommend seeing this movie in the theater so you can get the most from the special effects. This movie was awesome! The special effects were absolutely the best. It gets your attention and holds it there. I hope that it doesn't ever come true but who knows what our future holds. I really enjoyed this movie. Sure, some of those "Cusack-Escaping-the-falling-building" scenes were way too far-fetched and caused me to say "Yeah Right!" but it was still bizarrely entertaining. Its a very long movie although I don't recall trying to look at the time. So I guess the movie kept me "entertained". The actors all did a great job. We had to get there early as the line was pretty long. Overall, good movie going experience. Two thumbs up!

Amazing special effects and fascinating story line. I was in awe during some of the action scenes and the utter destruction of great cities and monuments in this country. Peoples of the world did not have a chance. I thought there would be a different ending though.
