My 8 year old loved it.
Good family movie.
The Silence of the Lambs joke could have been left out, though the youngsters probably had no idea about the reference.

I like the way it took some things from real life and then just took them way over the top for a roller coaster adventure. The only parts that I did not enjoy were the scenes in India and Japan where it is implied about the children dying a terrible death but fortuantely it is not shown.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
