Good cop flick. The John Leguizamo character sucks. I wish he had toned it down a bit...was not needed to carry the story.
Anyway, good story, good developed characters...smart ending.

Deniro & Pacino....not a bad starting point huh? If you're looking for a good guy, bad guy movie, this movie is not for you. For the most part nearly all the characters in this movie are hard edged and dark. You like them anyway because everyone means well in their own way. This is a good solid movie and has a somewhat surprising ending. Very strong language and fairly violent. If this bothers you then stay away. I liked this movie a lot.

I liked this movie a lot but it didn't meet expectations. It is not the best performance of either star, and as their only “real” film together is not what it might have been. Two jaded NYPD detectives track a serial killer who leaves awful poems with his victims' bodies. One is so worn down that he is a ticking time bomb; the other can manage the stress, but is loyal to his partner and friend. DeNiro slowly unravels as the detectives begin to suspect the killer is a cop, and Pacino tries to cover for him. The movie is clicheic, but interesting. The plot twists are well done. But the stars look so bored, while telling you how much they care, that you don't understand why they go to all this bother. I don't think they know, either.

Righteous Kill is a fantastic movie. Pacino and De Niro truly lived up their reputation and smoked the screen. The acting was great, the dialogue was fantastic and the plot was good too. You can't really ask for more.

First of all, it was a good movie. Now after that is out of the way, the only thing that made this movie "special" was the DeNiro/Pacino duo, of which personally I would take the Godfather trilogy, any day. The movie had very little suspense, and it was easy to figure out the ending. All in all, if you want to see a "decent" movie, with great actors, this is the flick for you. I would wait for the dvd if given a second chance.

We enjoyed the movie allot. I didn't like what that Director did with some of the Camera angles...(come on it made me dizzy)... BUT these 2 Amazing actors did not disapoint, nice to see them together.
