The character Paul is very close to Roger from American Dad. The two British nerds are annoying sometimes, but they work with Paul. There are a lot of SNL folks in the movie; in spite of that, the movie is still very funny.
I know...what can be said about this fantastic movie that hasnt been said already. Great special effects, great acting, great story line...
Normally, I dont like Sci-Fi movies, but this is an exception.
I thought it was very well done and had a connection that many people can associate to. Not the traveling to another planet connection, but the social and human connection.
After seeing "Taken" I was looking forward to "Unknown." The premise for this movie is one of the best ever. Liam Neeson plays a great calm, reserved man, who you dont want to mess with. All of that said, the movie was very disappointing.
The action was isolated and the the character interaction was strange and uncomfortable. There were one or two exceptions, but over all I thought the story was somehow being supressed.
I knew it would be hard to watch a remake of a John Wayne movie. Especially one that had so much talent (Robert Duvall, Glen Campbell, Dennis Hopper, etc). After watching it, I decided the Dude cannot replace the Duke, however, it was a good movie. The character of the little girl was fantastic.
The 2nd half of the movie was weak compared to the original. Not enough Ned Peppers...
The actors in the movie are really good and the premise is also. However, the movie is pretty predictable.
Some of the shots of the train have that shaky cinematography work. I didnt understand why they did that. It wasnt supposed to be from the viewpoint of a cellphone or video camera...just shots of the train. Was annoying.
Overall, I would wait and see this one DVD...or TBS.
This was a great, fantastic movie. I was a little hesitant, as many times when you have that much talent in a movie, it isnt as great as you thought.
This movie is the exception. All of the big players deliver. Of course Bruce Willis is great, but so is John M and Morgan F.
Incredible plot, great action and the presentation is also very pleasing. Towards the end, the production mimics Oceans 13 a bit with the split windows, multiple action threads.
