Well I guess the hype overcame the reality. I saw the first one 15 years ago, and like everyone else, was totally charmed. This time through not so much. The scary scene with all the toys on a conveyor belt headed for a furnace while amazing in 3-d, was not enchanting. Even the attempt at a neat satisfying finale fell short. I am sure it will make buckets of money -- but I wouldn't recommend it for small children. I should add that I was one of the few in the audience who did not applaud at the end, so it could just be me.

We saw this last night and are still talking about how great it was. We had two teenagers, two nine year olds and a five year old, along with four parents. This movie was entertaining for everyone. We laughed, we cried, we cheered. It was awesome.

I was looking forward to taking my daughter to see Toy Story 3. We had already read two books about the movie, so we knew the story. The movie was wonderful. It was fun to watch the toys come to life. The journey that Andy's toys take through a whole range of human trials and tribulations make the characters even more endearing than they were in the first two toy story movies.

Pixar does it again. They knock another one outta the park with Toy Story 3. Even with all the commercials and hype, I wasn't sure what to expect with Toy Story 3, but it was fantastic and makes for the perfect trilogy in the Toy Story series. The theatre I was in was filled with adults, kids, tweens and teens. We all laughed, cheered and clapped together. It's an outstanding movie.

Truly the best of the Toy Story series. Story was especially touching for parents who one day face their children heading off to college just like Andy. I admit it, a couple tears were shed. It was amazing!

Toy Story really knows how to do sequels. I grew up with Toy Story, Andy has always been the same age as me. As soon as I found out they were coming out with a third Toy Story, I knew I would see the midnight showing, and boy I'm glad I did. I couldn't have asked for a better end to the Toy Story movies! Having grown up with these movies, I was so excited to see the 3rd film. I was a little worried if they could pull off making another but they did it! The 3D was great, complimented this movie fantastically. It brought humor and fun, along with the heart felt moments that had you tearing up. I recommend this movie to anyone and everyone!

This is the first movie I have seen in 3D, and it was well worth having to wear dorky glasses and stay up past midnight to see the premiere! I enjoyed the first two, and I found this addition to the Toy Story/Pixar franchise to be truly entertaining and amazing. Worth the additional cost for 3D, and I am sure I will see it again!

I loved this movie, what I especially loved was hearing all the little kids in the theater laugh all at once, to me that is the most precious sound to mankind... the whole movie was great and of course it had a sad moment and you could hear the kids saying things like, "oh no" - "how sad" ,,etc... the animation was great and the plot was very easy for the kids to follow...., but for me and my daughter the after takes (showing while the credits are rolling by) are the funniest...I would totally recommend this movie for families....

Took my grandchildren (14 & 8 years in age) to see Toy Story 3 this afternoon.....we all enjoyed the movie very much! I'm embarrassed to say, I even got teary-eyed at the end. Terrific story line and wonderful new characters. The only thing I found lacking was paying all that extra cash for "3D". There wasn't really anything "3D" exceptional. Think we would have gotten just as much enjoyment with the "regular" presentation while saving a whole lot of money too boot!

I knew this movie was going to be good, it's Toy Story, and it's Pixar, what can you expect. I gave it five stars because the quality of the movie deserves that. I thought that overall, the plotline was very similar to the other TS movies, especially TS 2. But I guess that's what we all like about Toy Story.

I was not expecting a lot from Toy Story 3. I thought it was going to be good, but I was not expecting anything amazing. After going to the midnight showing, I can say that Pixar and Disney should be very proud of what they accomplished with Toy Story 3. New characters are introduced and each are developed clearly and the story flows so well!!! The film pulls you in from the beginning when it is playing the original song that we all heard when we first saw Toy Story in 1995. Finally, here is a summer movie that soars rather than tanks! As in 'Toy Story 1' and 'Toy Story 2,' the narrative and visuals in 'Toy Story 3' convey heartfelt emotion, inventive action sequences, and a giddy sense of fun. Also, what I love about Pixar's use of 3D is that it enhances the images rather than merely subjecting the audience to random projectiles. With this 3D process, too, I never had the feeling that the images look too dark, which happens with some 3D films I've seen. (I saw both versions of the most recent 'Shrek,' and the 2D print was far brighter-looking than that of the 3D.) Despite its pristine quality in 3D, 'Toy Story 3' will probably look just as vibrant in 2D, which is a testament to how visually stunning all the Pixar films have been.

I've been an extreme toystory fan since i can remember, it was my favorite movie as a toddler and has become even more of a favorite for me as a teenager on the verge of adulthood. I enjoyed the TS3 movie thoroughly, i laughed, i cried, every emotion a movie should bring out, was brought out in this movie. It had its parts where i didnt enjoy, like when they said BoPeep was sold in a yardsale a few years back, i had becoming increasingly anxious to figure out what was to happen between her and woody and turns out, she's gone. I was not pleased they did away with her, but i was very happy they placed Buzz and Jessie as a love connection. Overall, the movie had its ups and down, but i think it was brilliant.

Pixar does it once again! This movie was fantastic, even better than the 2nd film in the trilogy and almost as good as the first. This movie definately matched, if not surpassed, Toy Story 1 and 2. The plot and dialogue were both solid and engaging and the developement of familiar characters and the unveiling of new oneswas fascinating and enjoyable.
Surprisingly, I found that the movie was more satisfying for older audiences rather than the younger. While, the content was suitable for all ages, the movie hints at sophisticated themes most meaningful to adults.
As a whole, Toy Story 3 is the perfect end to a wonderful tale. It evokes a perfect balance of laughter and tears. One leaves the theater feeling closer to the childhood they are living or [thought] they left behind.

It was a really good movie for the most part, but there were some places that were a bit rough. Kids, in my opinion, would be probably pretty freaked out at some of the "bad" characters such as the monkey and the doll. The doll turning it's head all the way around in the escape scene is a reference to "The exorcist" and the scene with Rex and Ham when Ham says "Hey! Don't touch my stuff" is innapropriate. So, there are some things to look out for when watching this, but for the most part, it was great. :)

I don't think it lived up to other pixar movies. And they killed off one of main characters, the one that happened to be my favorite. I think that it did fit well with the other movies, but after waiting 11 years I was just expecting more.

I really liked Toystory 1 and Toystory 2, but this one beat both of them. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life.
