It was a really good movie for the most part, but there were some places that were a bit rough. Kids, in my opinion, would be probably pretty freaked out at some of the "bad" characters such as the monkey and the doll. The doll turning it's head all the way around in the escape scene is a reference to "The exorcist" and the scene with Rex and Ham when Ham says "Hey! Don't touch my stuff" is innapropriate. So, there are some things to look out for when watching this, but for the most part, it was great. :)
Yes, I recommend this movie.
