This movie was EXCELLENT! the intro was, possibly the best in the series. There was a nice throwback to Cool Hand Luke "you step out of line, you get a night in the box" Superb sound editing (Buzz's voice-chip sounds sounded worn). Loved the Cameo by Sid, and the 3D effects weren't overdone. Great Job Pixar Animation studios. You guys really outdid yourselves this time!

We had the kids choose the movie for fathers day and boy are we happy they did! The movie was wonderful the kids loved the 3D expeirence! The theater was packed with as many kids as adults and there was equal laughter from all around us!! This is the first movie that I have been to in years that people actually clapped at the end-and not because it was over because it was that good.

Really - the folks at Pixar are absolutely engenius! They have managed to top themselves once again. I was enraptured from the first frame to the last. Once again, the focus was on creating a terrific, compelling, original story, adding solid, fun and diverse characters, and executing the whole kabosh with the greatest, most sophisticated artistry on every level. I just wish they could make more, and more often. And I REALLY appreciate that they never resort to coarse humor or modelling snarky behavior to children.

Probably one of the best movies, if not the best film I’ve seen this year because simply put, it expresses what we feel about the toys we cling to as children and why some of us prize them into adulthood, and finally because they also connect us to that wonderful world of imagination that is full of love, forgiveness, and friendship. “Toy Story 3” is not so much a goodbye to our beloved characters we’ve grown so accustomed to, but an embrace of all that is beautiful about being a child.

I loved it! When I first saw the trailer, I thought no way it could possibly be as good as the others. WOW! Was I surprised! It was well thought out from beginning to end. The last ten to fifteen minutes I was welled up with tears. My boys also enjoyed this movie. How do I know? Well, the candy and popcorn we bought was barely touched. They spent more time eating during the previews. We left with popcorn to spare and two extra boxes of candy which normally would have been eaten. Excellent!

Toy Story 3 in Disney Digital 3d is by far the best animated movie ever made. I have no idea what it looks like in 2d but it is outstanding in digital 3d!!! Pixar has definitely raised the bar to a new high level for future animations with its work in Toy Story 3.

Loved it!!! Took my whole family to see it, even my 73 year old dad who is a HUGE fan of Buzz and all the TS gang! We have looked forward to this for a long time and it certainly did NOT dissapoint! We went to see this movie for Father's Day weekend. My husband thought it was cool to take our 2 year old, and our 17 year old loved the movie as well. Though I will concur with others on the 3D, don't waste your money...there wasn't much depth to it, I don't think it would be much different in 2D, so save your $3/person for the glasses and buy everyone a snack!

The first thing that I noticed wasn't even about the movie--it was about the people in the theater with me. I think that there were only 5 children (10 years old or younger) in the theater. The rest of the people were all older, and it seemed to go along with how old Andy was in the movie. I thought that was pretty cool.
The movie itself was fantastic. It was the expected Toy Story adventure, except now the alternative to being mutated by Sid/left behind was getting completely destroyed, giving the film a darker tone. I'm pretty sure I cried for the last 20 minutes of the movie (good cry, mind you :D). Despite the slightly upsetting and bittersweet parts, the movie was hilarious--everyone in the theater was rolling with laughter--and it also got a standing ovation. My props go to Randy Newman, the music composer, who was able to reinvent the old music for the new movie, giving it a fresh new appeal.
I would recommend this movie not just to a friend, but to EVERYONE--kids, teens, adults, and seniors, and most especially, everyone's inner child. We've all been (or will be) where Andy is, leaving home for the first time, and the story will hit home with all of us.

I saw Toy Story 3 in 3D yesterday, and it was excellent. Although it would be enjoyable for anyone, threads of the previous stories were woven into this movie to make the saga all the more believable. This story was by no means "more of the same"; the characters had many unfamiliar dilemmas to wrestle with. The poignant ending was marvelous and it was especially meaningful since my two children have both left for college.

Every moment in this film, funny or otherwise, is earned. Big laughs and gut-retching real moments. I do wonder if some scenes will prove to be too debilitating for children as they basically were too scary for a grown man like myself. All in all, the perfect ending to a now perfect trilogy.

I took my three "kids" (ages 19, 23, and 25) to celebrate Father's Day. We all loved it. I was totally unaware of the storyline and wasn't really prepared for the flood of emotion that came over me during certain scenes. With my kids being the same age as the boy in the film, there were many familiar situations and parallels that took me back in time (especially this being Father's Day).
Regarding the3D experience, one has to keep in mind that 3D is in a transition phase, slowly evolving into what will be a commonplace standard for most, if not all, movies. In the past, 3D was used primarily as a gimmick, and as such, many current movie-goers expect some radical, dramatic 3D events to take place during a 3D film. In truth, however, the (new) 3D is meant to enhance your visual experience, yet never draw attention away from the movie itself. In many scenes, 3D will simply make the visuals more realistic, just as we see in 3D with our own eyes. Sometimes the best 3D is when you don't even realize that you're watching it!
I thought the 3D in this movie was done very well and for those who say "skip the 3D" - I'd say, let others try the experience and decide for themselves. It does take some getting used to, as do many types of new technology - and as always, many are simply resistant to change, rather than willing to embrace the future!

Saw all 3Toy Story Movies, was wondering how the end would be. This was an exciting finish to a great story. My wife cried at the ending when Andy played with the toys for the last time before leaving for college. Felt bad for the Teddy that was forgotten by its' owner and ended up stuck on the garbage truck, I kinda hoped he'd find someone also. Great movie, great job.

This was the first movie my 3 year old saw in theaters and he was glued to the screen the whole time (sometimes on the edge of his seat). Though all the adults got teary eyed, he was full of anticipation. The glasses even stayed on the entire time!

Funny, adorable and very entertaining, but the 3D effects are not the kind that makes you go Wow! because things come flying in your face,so I'd say save your hard earned $, it's really not necessary.
