This is a movie for both young and old!! We watched the movie with people ranging in ages from 3 years to 70+ years old. I laughed and cried. My son and his wife are expecting their first baby boy soon and I have saved so many of his toys, after watching this movie, I hate to get rid of any of his toys, they all have such wonderful memories!! Thanks for reminding me of this!!

For anyone who has seen the first and second Toy Story movies, the opening sequence alone was nearly worth the ticket price. It parallels the opening scene from the first movie, only this time it's from Andy's point of view, with several of the new characters from TS2 thrown in for good measure.
TS3 was excellent, using enough quotes (or paraphrased quotes) from the first films to bring a smile to the lips of adults and enough fun and new characters to keep everyone happy.
The only drawbacks I can think of are that there are a few very suspenseful scenes that might be a bit intense for very small children. (Think: incinerator.) There are also a couple of tear-jerker bits, but nothing that isn't typical of Disney.

Yes, it was sad in several parts - it wouldn't be a Pixar movie if it wasn't - but like my son said, "It was a good sad". I can't believe the level of writing John Lasseter and the rest of the Pixar folks come up with - they are able to tell a great story intelligently without sinking to any kind of bad level, and they are able to breathe fresh life into a franchise and characters we haven't seen for awhile. I will dearly miss Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang, but they also make me pine away for my childhood and all the innocence it held.

I love Toy Story. I mean, hey, I grew up with it. I was so excited and couldn't wait for the laughs coming with number three. I have friends who went to see it the first day it came out, they have a daughter the same age as me and a daughter a bit older. They cried a lot, so did their mom, and told us to bring tissues. I knew there would be a bit of sadness because of Andy going to college but that wasn't it. My parents and I saw it on Father's day. Let's say don't waste your money on 3D and bring lots of tissues. I'm 13 and some of the parts even scared me. It also even starts off with parts that made me cry, I was surprised. There are some funny and cute parts, but some characters were evil and some I felt really bad for. My mom and I cried. But it's a bit confusing considering the fact that I was sometimes crying and laughing at the same time. But between the loss of beloved characters, the sadness of Woody, Buzz going insane, and scary images it's not the toy story I love and remember. After the movie I told my mom I thought it was a bit funny how Prince of Persia was strangely and sadly more uplifting then toy story. On the other hand I hope they pull off and toy story four with a better storyline and one that redeems of favorites' personalities. Over all cute, but depressing.

TS3 was fabulous! Just as good if not better than the other two. The storyline was perfect and everything was tied together very well. The Toy Story movies have been a part of my life for so many years now that emotions were intense and I cried like a baby at the end. Great job, Pixar!

Well, there is no such thing as a bad Toy Story movie. They did a great job. Both the kids and the adults loved it. Just make sure you take tissues. It's very poingnant. I cry at movies anyway, but the whole theater was going.

Took my 8 yrs old stepson. He loved it. However, the plot and subplots were deep enough for an adult to get fully engrossed in the movie. I love the old familiar characters. It made you laugh, sit on the edge of your seat and become tearly eyed at times. The 3-D does not overwhelm the movie, but gives a life-like feel to the movie.

Good movie, but my 3 year old was scared and we had to leave for awhile halfway through the movie. It was a darker movie than I had thought and was not as fun-loving and carefree like the first two. I had to keep telling her that everything would be ok and they would all be happy at the end. It was a good movie, but geared for school-aged children.

Even with Pixar I was skeptical with a 3rd installment. Boy, was I ever wrong! I would put my reputation on the line to say that this was the best final sequel of any series I have ever watched. Dreamworks needs to take some serious notes here. I have said it time and time again, you can make an entertaining movie with great special effects but the classic caliber needs a great story, period. Toy Story 3 excels in this area in spades!
All the characters had their moments of fame in this one. I especially liked all the new characters. Fair warning though. This Toy Story travels down a somewhat darker path than the previous ones. I saw one or two scenes that may be a little disturbing for the toddlers. That being said, Toy Story 3 is by far better than the other two combined!
Although it is touted as the final episode, they did leave room for another chapter. I think Pixar should leave it at that. This is as ever a high note to leave as I've seen. Pixar has outdone themselves, again!
