My husband and son, who are huge Batman fans, loved this movie. My daughters and I, who are not fans, also loved the movie. The plot was excellent. The special effects were realistic. And the violence, while intense, was mostly implied with no gory details actually shown. This movie has turned me into a Batman fan. Heath Ledger's performance was truly amazing!

The Dark Knight was great, but I'm not yet convinced it's better than Batman Begins (as I love Batman Begins). It is too long at 2.5 hours and there are so many details and people to follow, I feel the need to see it several more times to catch every bit of it. Performances great all.

The lines to enter the Imax were crazy, it took about 30 minutes just to get inside the theater after our tickets were purchased. After we were seated though, the long wait became well worth it. I was skeptical about the length of the movie (2 and 1/2 hours), but with all of the action going on it passed almost too quickly. The chase scenes will make you want to go back and watch it again, almost like an exciting ride at an amusement park. I would recommend this to everyone over the age of 13, you won't be disappointed.

I was expecting a great movie; this movie blew past my expectations twenty minutes into the movie. Everyone is raving about Heath Ledger; I thought it might just be hype due to his untimely passing. Boy was I wrong; I loved his performance as the Joker. I could go on and on but I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone. One last thing if you have the option of seeing the movie in IMAX, do it. I can actually say this movie is probably even better than the first and Batman Begins was a great movie! The special effects wowed me and I am a girl and don't usually get wowed by crashing cars and semi's but it was really cool the things they pulled off in this movie. The Dark Knight is an excellent movie which does Christopher Nolan (Director) and particularly Heath Ledger much credit. A truly amazing peformance as the Joker which may ultimate win an oscar this coming year. Beautifully shot with excellent special effects and make up work you can hardly believe. Slight irritation with Bale's husky voiced portrayal of the Caped Crusader but perhaps the best part of the movie is that the closest Katie Holmes will be to the movie is watching it in a movie theatre.

To say The Dark Knight is a great superhero movie is to undermine what it really is, which is a superb piece of filmmaking on its own. I am a comicbook/superhero junkie, so this film was a no-brainer for me, but for those lucky filmgoers whose lives do not revolve around comicbooks and superheroes, they are in for something special. This film is indeed the Godfather 2 of superhero movies, but more than that, it ranks up there with Heat, The Untouchables and the Departed, an outstanding crime drama that keeps the viewer on edge, always wanting more and always surprising them. Add to it the chance to see it larger than life in IMAX, I don't know why anyone would not enjoy this film. While Heath Ledger's performance will, at the very least, warrant an Oscar nomination (and hopefully win), the rest of the cast and their performances are so extraordinary that I wish they could bottle them all up and bring them back for (hopefully) a third Christopher Nolan Batman film. If you haven't see The Dark Knight, go see it, and if you have, go see it again. I did, and the second time around was just as good as the first, even better. :)

Really quite extraordinary. I went in with inflated expectations because of all the buzz and great reviews but it topped them anyway. All the actors were top notch, great script, fantastic photography - the movie was really gorgeous to look at. And certainly, Heath Ledger owns the Joker role. Absolutely perfect job and about as far from Jack as possible. Only complaint I have is that the very first action scene w/ Batman was hard to follow. Regardless, highest recommendation. Certainly makes a convincing case for the best comic adaptation on film.

I have never been to an imax to watch an actual movie, but for this one I had high hopes, so i paid the extra money and made the hour trip to the nearest imax.The best movie I have ever seen and the best experience I have had by watching it in an imax.I would highly recommend everyone to see this movie, even if your like me and not a fan of comic books or comic book movies.This movie will put a grin on your face and have you leaving the theater glad that you went and spent the time and money.I was happy to finally leave a theater and feel that I got my money's worth and not feel like I should get my money back.I actually wanted to get back in line for the next showing and watch it again, but they were sold out for the rest of the weekend.The movie is 2.5 hours long but you were so intrested in what would happen next you thought of nothing else except for the movie. A++++

This movie is not only the greatest superhero movie ever made...but it is also the greatest crime/action thriller of all time! The acting from Heath Ledger is amazing and Aaron Eckhart was equally stunning as Harvey Dent. The plot sucks you in and never lets go until the last frame... Ledger's joker is disturbing and humorous at the same time...Many of his scenes left me shaken and just in awe of his utter lack for human life.. Lastly the action scenes are some of the best staged I have ever seen..They are completely realistic and incredibly explosive!! I reccomend this movie to everyone except young children for obvious reasons.

This film surpassed many if not all of my expectations. Christian Bale delivers yet another incredible performance of Batman, leaving little room for concession, and the supporting cast blew my reservations away. I'm not sure of the Academy's stance on posthumous nominations, but if Ledger is not at least delegated for best supporting actor, I will be shocked.
This is one of the best movies of this generation, I would recommend it to anyone, even those who hold no respect for a comic books turned movies.
