Christopher Nolan's sequel to Batman Begins is entertaining and gut-wrenching, blending jaw-dropping action set pieces and superb acting while delving deeply into the depravity that is possible in human nature. Its beautifully expressed thread of hope, even through the chaos and suffering, makes the entire spectacle all the more riveting. Highly recommended.
