If you are reading this it probably means you have not yet seen this movie. All I can say to that is, what are you waiting for? This is one of the best movies I have ever seen (and I see a lot of movies) forget that it is a comic book character that is irrelevent. Even if you know nothing about batman, all I reccommend is that you saw batman begins, this is a must see it has everything action, comedy, drama, great cast and performances, topped by the best villain/best performance of the year supporting actor, heath ledger as the joker. PLEASE STOP reading this and go and see one of the best films to ever hit the big screen and if you can you must see it on an IMAX screen it was made for it.

I purchased my tickets for the IMAX showing of Dark Knight on Saturday evening for 9:45 AM Sunday morning. When I arrived at the theater, the actual movie started at 9:30 am. This basically ensured that I did not get a seat even though, I arrived 30 minutes early and had pre-purchased them. The theater re-imbursed me and let me go to a regular showing, but overall my experience with Movie Tickets.Com was less than satisfactory. Next time, (if there is a next time) , I will check the theaters website and call as well to ensure that the time listed on Movie Tickets.Com is accurate. The movie was great, but this kind of soured my experience.

This film has achieved a new level in this genre, excellent dialog with non stop action keeps you glued to your seat. Gotham is no longer some ridiculous "dark" fake city - using Chicago makes it more real and that contributes to the feel of the movie. Loved Christian Bale as Batman, and Aaron Eckhart was a terriffic good/bad guy! There are no words to adequately describe Heath Ledger's portrayal of Joker - this is not just hype he was truly amazing!! Not a comic, graphic novel fan but this was so worth seeing. I will be paying to see it again!!

I've never been much of a comic book fan, but this movie was absolutely stunning! A must see if you like action films that have a bit more going on in addition to the fights and chases!

This movie defies all other comic book movies. It is not only action-packed, but it is a phsycological thriller as well. The movie is intense, and falls short of a happy ending- but this is neccessary to capture the true essence and character of batman like no movie has ever done. Seeing it in the IMAX really added to it. I give it two thumbs up- and, WARNING: Not a kids movie. Its not.. dont bring them there.

The Dark Knight did the impossible......it made a comic book movie believable in our modern times. You cannot watch this movie and just think "This is a comic book movie" because it is more than just that. There is hardly any CGI in this film, which is a refreshing change. The acting is top notch and the story is glorious. I cannot believe this is only rated PG-13, but I am not hating! There are some gruesome moments and the Joker's menace will make you squirm in your seat. This movie was fun, thrilling, breathtaking, and unforgettable. Heath Ledger upped the ante in his craft with his final role as the Joker. He plays it so well it is scary. He will be missed. Even if you are not a fan of super hero movies, I think this movie will appeal to all fans of all types, because its that good! Any superhero movie that comes out next sure has a flawless act to follow.

What I liked: -The Score! Wonderfully done! Great emotional musical score! -Heath Ledger as the Joker. Insane and he is a terrifying Joker. -A visually stunning movie! Especially the fly over and skyscraper scenes. -No surprise that Bale, Caine and Freeman give solid performances! What I did NOT like: -Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent. His performance is stiff and unconvincing as Two-Face. -The movie is about 30 minutes too long. Some of the plot jumps are completely unecessary. Too much going on! To sum it up, Nolan does a solid job here, but this movie is no Memento or Prestige.

This movie is a solid 2 1/2 Hours that keeps you not only interested, but doesn't disapoint with the constant plot twists, actions sequences that actually have meaning to the movie, and overall marvelous acting by the cast. Everything that's been said about this movie being one of the best comic movies ever made it true. I wouldn't compare it to "Empire Strikes Back" as far as best sequal ever, but this is worth the price of admission and then some. I know I'll be watching this again very soon. Don't worry, Maggie Gyllenhaal is MUCH better as Rachel Dawes.

As good as Heath Ledger's performance is--and he is, as you've heard, brilliant--the film exceeded my expectations. The moral questions it poses through its characters is as deep and thought provoking as any film I've ever seen. The entire cast is great. Christopher Nolan should receive some hardware for his direction, as should he and his brother for the script.

Incredibly energenic! Packed with non stop action, you don't even realize it lasts for 2 1/2 hrs!! Heath Ledger was incredible as the Joker-very dark & twisted, yet humorous & at times likable. The Dark Knight was a good follow up to Batman begins. Seeing it in IMAX made it 10x better. I would of called the MOvie JOKERS WILD instead of Dark Knight. This IS Heath Ledger MOVIE start to finish. To bad joker will not be in any of the other ones. Because there is no way to follow in the footsteps of the LEdger interpretation of the Joker. I am seeing this one again.

It is always surprising when a sequel not only meets, but exceeds the expectation of the audience. I was blown away by this film. I adored 'Batman Begins' and agreed with all those who stated that it breathed new life into a well-worn franchise. I can say with no reservations that I felt this film was just as exceptional, if not slightly better than it's predecessor.
Each and every actor in this film brought their A-game to the field. I was mesmerized by Bale and Ledger equally. My only real point of contention was that Eckhart was given a meaty role, but was not allowed to fully dig in and expose the bare bone. It felt that there was quite a bit of build-up to his fated transformation, but once it happened it seemed as if the screenwriters got bored and wrapped up his arc as quickly as possible.
I highly recommend this film, and for those who can afford the additional cost of the IMAX experience, do so. There are only 4 sequences that utilize the technology, but they are truly worthwhile.

Better than Batman Begins, which I thought was great, The Dark Knight is a tightly woven story with great performances from the entire cast. At last we have a movie that showcases some of the greatest characters as they were meant to be.
I was disappointed that the Stoneybrook IMAX screen in Louisville, KY IS NOT a FULL/TRUE IMAX screen. Its was simply the standard aspect ratio theater screen in a larger size. Still, the larger screen was nice.

I was anxiously waiting to see Batman, The Dark Knight, but thought it was just alright. The story line is more psychologically impacting than its predecessors, but the story and movie as a whole did not impress me as much as the trailer did. I thought the movie died down quite a bit after the opening scene, which I thought was wonderful. The costume and sound effects were wonderful, nonetheless.

This movie was absolutely phenomenal! Heath Ledger was brilliant, he was a creepy, funny, psyochotic villian. The entire cast was great! It was exceptional!

I thought the movie was so-so..At times you had to decipher who was on what side. Seen far better shows and this. The IMAX experience fell way short of a true IMax..I didn't have to travel as far as I did to see what I deem an average movie at best..

Really enjoyed The Dark Knight this weekend. Movie goes where few summer popcorn movies would dare. A lot of surprises throughout. A great movie with a lot of emotion...highly recommend.

If you have been blind and deaf for the last week then you have missed all the other rave reviews about this movie. Fact is, whenever a celebrity dies, critics from all over praise whatever last movie they were on as a monumental feat. In most cases they are very, very wrong. However - I was blown away by this movie. It had substance and timing and could easily win awards for the departed Mr. Ledger. Great visuals, great story, great scenes and vivid detail give any modern movie a run for their money. Even if you don't like superhero movies (which I am usually in that group as well) - you have to see it. The "pencil scene" is worth paying for by itself. . . and that happens about 10 minutes into the movie. I was hooked from then on!
