The Directors/Producers or Whom ever it may be, did an excellent job in not giving to much depth in the trailers that was presented. With that being said every element in the movie makes you ponder what is going to happen next. This is the type of movie you have pay close attention to detail in order to make the best out of it. Of course the action and sci-fi scenes are cool, but the acting and whole material was just supered.

This movie was one of the best that I have seen. Heath Ledger was excellent. If I hadn't already known that it was him I would have never guessed it. He gave the joker a much darker psychotic side than in previous movies. This was definitely one of his best roles. I also thought that maggie gyllenhaal was an excellent replacement for Katie Holmes as Rachel. Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent was awsome. He played the saviour of Gotham very well. He was definitely wonderful in every aspect of the role. And Christian Bale is awsome again as Batman/Bruce Wayne. He plays the rich playboy great and the but kicking Batman even better. If you are looking for an action packed movie that that has a dark twist then this movie is perfect for you.

And I just don't go throwing that phrase around lightly. I always try VERY hard never to OVERhype a movie when recommending one to my friends or family but, I can't overemphasize enough how GREAT this movie really is. The Dark Knight (in IMAX) is truly phenomenal in EVERY aspect of it's being: Acting, directing, cinematography, musical score, pace, action, etc. Even clocking in at a little over 2 and a half hours, it leaves you wanting more and cements images into your brain that linger long after you exit the theater. If you have not seen this movie yet, PLEASE do yourself a favor and see it in an IMAX theater if you possibly can. It is without question worth every penny of the higher ticket price. Believe me when I say that they don't call it the IMAX "Experience" for nothing!!!

I was very surprised that this movie got a PG-13 rating; I would not take your children to see this film, as there are some highly gruesome scenes. One of which is a man who has had a cell phone bomb sewn into his gut by the Joker which goes off, another is the Joker slitting a mob bosses mouth open so wide that it kills him I guess? But they cut away a millisecond before the blood spurts everywhere so I guess that keeps it from being R? Christian Bale is significantly scrawnier than the 1st movie and I honestly wondered how he was able to beat everyone up when he's in his bat gear. The movie is about 30 minutes too long and gets boring in parts, I am probably the only person in America who is going to point out these flaws in what everyone seems to think is an amazing movie, but there are BIG plot holes in this one and its a bit of a let down if you are hoping it is better than the first. You will still enjoy it, just keep in mind that it is a sequel so you are not disappointed by hoping for something even better than the last as I was.

Yes, it was a good movie. The action was over the top but in a comic-book-good way. Yes, Ledger was a great joker in a different way than others have played him and Dent was well played too. Bale and Caine turned in solid performances, as expected. Ol'Maggie was ... eh... So, we're left with great action. But it was broken up and unrealistic in most every way. Loud and in your face seemed to be the style. Oscar for Ledger? Why? Cause he acted all goofy and crazy ... playing a goofy crazy guy? Oh, right, cause he OD'd... ehh...

I always love a movie where good wins over evil! Dark Knight is a great portrayal of pure evil vs. good. It shows the good that exists even in those who have done wrong. I like that it doesn't try to show the relativity of wrong choices. It shows a character who repents yet is willing to take his lumps and make things right.

I loved Batman Begins and Ironman...but The Dark Knight blows them both out of the theatre. Ledger is getting a lot of well-earned press for his performance, but the entire cast is rock solid. The effects are great, it's well written and directed. My only regret is that Ledger cannot reprise his role, and Nolan and company have their work cut out for them if they intend to top this one. Not for little ones though - 12 + for sure. Could've easily been an R with just a few minor changes. I'll never look at a clown the same way again. Fantastic movie. I saw this in a regular theatre first, the an IMAX show. Other than the sound (LOUD) there was minimal difference IMHO.

What an experience! Definitely, one of the best movies I have seen, or at least seen in the theater. The IMAX experience made it slightly better, but it would be almost as good in a regular size screen. Very intense action, complex, interesting, and sometimes confusing plot. I can't wait for the follow up to this, they will have a hard time topping this performance! This is a must see movie, and spend the extra $$$ for the IMAX experience if you have the chance!

A++ Kudos to Christopher Nolan. No hype about Heath Ledger. One of the best acting performances I've ever seen. The script revolves around the Joker so you can't down play Christian Bales part. He was excellent as Batman. My favorite actor to dawn the cape since Keaton. Only complaint, wish Katie Holmes was back. Great movie, way better then the first and I hope they get better as the go. Order your ticks and go!

This movie was amazing. I was almost worn out after it was over. The movie was a little long but at the same time I didn't want it to stop. I thought Heath Ledger was the most amazing Joker ever. Too bad he won't be coming back for the next one. He did such an amazing performance. Just the right amount of creepy and funny. He made the character have a lot of charisma. And Christian Bale was amazing as always. I thought they could have picked a better Rachel. I would have rather seen Katie Holmes again. The first thing I said when it was over was that I couldn't wait to own it on DVD. Then I said I wanted to go see it again!

I'm going to be blunt: Nolan did a lousy job. No comparison to Batman Begins. Editing was bad. No character development of Batman. You have to see the movie for one thing only: the Joker played by Heath Ledger. There has never been a better or scarier villain on the screen, period. If the Oscar's meant anything today, Heath deserves ten of them for that role. It is just a mind blowing performance. Jack Nicholson looks like a joke in comparison. Whatever killed him deserves to come home to its makers.

This wasn't just a movie it was an event. Not one dull moment. Heath Ledger was brilliant. Christian Bale is excellent as Batman. We saw the movie at an IMAX. All I can say is Wow, my body is still rumbling from the awesome sound system. All seven people in our group from 13 to 49 had a fantastic time.

My wife and I viewed this movie at the IMAX, and how amazing it was! We were both looking forward to seeing this movie anyway, because we love Batman, and the joker is one of our favorite villains from the franchise. The movie is overall darker than Batman Begins, but with a title of Dark Knight, did you expect any less? I strongly recommend that parents view the movie first before bringing their kids to see this movie, as it certainly is not made for the younger ones! I have seen a couple of movies at the IMAX now, and Batman: Dark Knight has had the most IMAX content to date! The views that filled the whole screen were breathtaking, and that is what makes the IMAX experience like no other! I cannot think of seeing this movie in a different format, and we are most definitely going to see it again!

christian bale once again plays as the best batman i've seen to date. with that said, heath ledger did the BEST job as joker. loved him! the combination of bale ledger both made this movie what it is, GREAT! i have a cousin that is a huge comic fan and wasn't impressed that heath ledger was playing joker, since he's comparing heath to jack nicholson. nicholson played a great joker in tim burton's vision. but, BUT, ledger played a more "real life" psychopathic joker in nolan's world. AWESOME movie, best i've seen.

The plot of this movie was pretty meh. Lots of awesome explosions though, and imax makes that all so much better the nice thing about imax theaters is that there are no bad seats-- I noticed that even the front row wasn't too close to see the whole movie. I was in the 4th row back, and I thought they were the best seats in the house. So yeah, I loved the movie, its pretty much what you're looking for in a summer action movie. Lots of explosions, car chases, and batman punching bad guys in the face. pretty awesome

Full length film. Heath Ledger and Kevin Bale play awesome characters, and do it to the tee. NOT A MOVIE FOR KIDS! VERY DARK VERSION OF BATMAN. Excellent Film, a must see for action fans.

The movie was dazzling with logical sequences which are hard to find in super hero movies. Heath ledger was marvelous. Sorry to see no more of him. Certainly the movie is dark but i don't complain about it, what else can one expect from the guardian of the night!!! Over all its a 5 * experience.

It just never stopped, from beginning to end, moving us thru the city on a rampage of excitement and energy. The Joker was the evil genius of the time, and the Batman was up to the task! The supporting cast was right there, too, not just along for the ride --- excellent, albeit just a tad long!

The Dark Knight was AWESOME, especially in IMAX. We got there 15 minutes early, and the only seats left were in the 3rd row. Still, an amazing experience. The visuals were stunning. The characters were well developed. And the action was superb.

This is the Batman movie that I have been waiting for, not the cookie cutter, politically correct Batman of the past. This is what Batman was always meant to be, the villains are raw and take the gloves off. Batman has thrown out the rule book and is torn, just like he was in the comic books. I have been waiting for way too long for this Batman to finally satisfy my pallet, but it was well worth the wait!
