Flashy Shock with Empty Message

This movie is just loud (really loud) glamorized shock, pulling no punches with situations including rape, chopping peoples heads in half and killing pregnant women, that culminates in what it tries to portray as a deep philosophical message that is really a hollow fascist pipedream, IE humanity needs to be saved from themselves by a superior elite that knows what's best for them.
If you have a sensitive or sweet girlfriend I wouldn't take her to it because you will be consoling her instead of getting it on after.

PG-13?

I was very surprised that this movie got a PG-13 rating; I would not take your children to see this film, as there are some highly gruesome scenes. One of which is a man who has had a cell phone bomb sewn into his gut by the Joker which goes off, another is the Joker slitting a mob bosses mouth open so wide that it kills him I guess? But they cut away a millisecond before the blood spurts everywhere so I guess that keeps it from being R? Christian Bale is significantly scrawnier than the 1st movie and I honestly wondered how he was able to beat everyone up when he's in his bat gear. The movie is about 30 minutes too long and gets boring in parts, I am probably the only person in America who is going to point out these flaws in what everyone seems to think is an amazing movie, but there are BIG plot holes in this one and its a bit of a let down if you are hoping it is better than the first. You will still enjoy it, just keep in mind that it is a sequel so you are not disappointed by hoping for something even better than the last as I was.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
