I read the all of the twilight saga, and only enjoyed the first book. I hoped that the movie would be just as good as the book but ended up being incredibly dissapointed. They cut out a lot of important dialogue, and the acting was just terrible. Whats more, there many parts that were laughed at even though it was not supposed to be funny. The movie was not worth all the hype it recieved. Hopefully, although i doubt it, they make a better sequel.

Everything i expected and more. Best movie ever. You should definiterly go see it. I would highly reccomend that if you like scary, romantic and realistic movies you should definitely go see Twilight, it is all of that and more.

I was really concerned that the screenplay writers would not maintain the exceptional quality of the actual book. Take Eragon, for instance. However, kudos to Stephanie Meyer for waiting until someone approached her w/a screenplay that actually does the book justice. My friends and I were very concerned about the meadow scene. It wasn't as romantic, but sufficed. The movie as a whole was really good. Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart definitely do Edward and Bella justice. I really recommend that all fans of the books and "twilight virgins" experience this movie. My friends and I agree that this is the "Romeo and Juliet" of the 21st century.

Fabulous. I've read the books more times than I care to admit .(I'm just a little obsessed). Although so many of the lines in the book that were indicative of Edward and Bella's personalities (..'stupid, unreliable vampire', etc) were not included, the movie was somehow able to convey the impossible love between them and let us know who they are. I'm going again next week !

I've been waiting for this movie for a while. Let me tell you, the wait was worth while. After reading all four books I was a bit hesitant about the movie, but after watching it Friday night, my doubts were thrown out. It is truly an amazing movie and is already a classic for centuries to come!

This movie is so worth seeing, I mean there is no way that any movie could be as good as the book, because we've already imagined it differently. But this movie is the movie that best resembles the book, so I definitely recommend seeing it at the movies, it's awesome :)

Coming from the perspective of a teen, I suppose the movie was good. Not great, but good. However, coming from the perspective of a grown woman who spent full days reading the Twilight series I was completely disappointed. The book was torn apart and put back together in the wrong order. The special effects were only ok. The only redeemable scenes were the bedroom kiss as they FINALLY show some measure of passion between Bella and Edward, and the kitchen scene at the Cullen's home. The Cullen home was another disappointment as was Edward's room. It is supposed to be large enough to hold a "huge" bed in later books and they gave him a varitable closet. I enjoyed Rosalie and James who were the closest to the book characters.

I have read the books (all 4) twice and I was not disappointed by the movie. I found portryal of the characters by the actors was great! Edward and Bella will be proud. The movie included 95% of the book and what was left out wasn't missed. (Directors of HP could learn from this film). I can not wait until 2010 when "New Moon" comes out!!!!

Twilight was completely Awesome. The actors did such a fantastic job. The soundtrack music fit into the movie perfectly. Especially the Baseball scene. The special effects were cool. And it stuck pretty close to the books...which I love. I will definitely go see it again and again until it's out of theatres. Looking forward to the next movie!

No, its not exactly the book ... but, it is a wonderful adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight - awesome casting, beautiful scenery ... & some pretty nice "eye candy"! Go, and see it - but, if you're a twilighter ... leave the book at home and just enjoy the movie and our beloved Edward come to life.

I thought Twilight would be some low budget film that would barely pass 2 stars. It wasn't, but they still could've done a better job. I waited through the whole movie for them to say 'I love you', but they never said it. They didn't explain what it is to be a vampire very well, I assume that they expected us to know. They also needed to make dramatic parts more intense.
On a lighter note, they casted phenomenally. Jasper I have to say, was one of the best acting in the movie, along with Charlie and Edward. Kristen Stewart was a little dry at parts, but I'm sure she'll progress in later movies. I enjoyed the ending a lot. It clearly showed that there will be another movie, otherwise that part would've been entirely random.

I have to be honest and tell you I read the book as it was a gift from my niece.
I was surprised that I enjoyed the book as i am a huge vampire genre fan but thought it would be to OC for me.
The movie however while I did enjoy it I think left a little to be desired. I think the book was more powerful and if you had not read it the movie lacked real power. I know you have to fit alot into a little time restraint but I think the story line got lost .
I think the characters suffered as you didn't really get to know them or their relationship to one another. You just got glimpses of the underbelly which was not enough.
I give it about 3 stars out of 5

In 'Twilight's defense, making a storyline with both vegetarian vampires and prom dresses anything but ridiculous is near impossible. With actors that were closer to Disney HSM characters than blood-sucking 'monsters' (as described by vamp heartthrob Edward), it was laughable at times.
However, the movie aimed point blank at it's target tween/teen girl demographic; and it succeeded admirably. There were plenty of 'ooh' and 'ahh' moments for Team Edward movie-goers to swoon at. When you get past the painfully over-acted and forced melodrama, you'll enjoy this movie. And heck, if you get bored, just watching dreamy Rob Pattinson waltz around in front of the camera will keep you distracted.

I read the whole series ahead of time. So, going into this movie I wanted everything to be there. I was in the theater for the entire movie with my sister criticizing the movie for the parts left out and parts put in. Some parts I felt vital to the relationship between Bella and Edward were left out. Some parts that added comic relief were also left out. I was disappointed that it didn't follow the book as much as it could have. Other than the missing/added parts I loved it. The acting was great. I loved Alice. She was PERFECT. Emmett was great. I feel they got Billy just perfect, along with Jacob. I am anxious to see how they do Jacob in New Moon. Definitely getting this movie when it comes out on DVD.

I think that fans of the books were expecting too much from this movie. Just like any other book to movie transition there it is impossible for all the detail to be portrayed. I see a lot of people complaining about Bella and Edward's relationship and how it lacked the depth the book gave. It is not possible for actors to show the connection that can be so eloquently displayed in words. I read all four of the books and I think they did a great job! I was entertained and was ecstatic to see one of my favorite books brought to life. But then again I came to the movie not expecting anything more than that.

I read the books and when I saw the movie was coming out in theaters I couldn't wait to go. I really thought that I would be disappointed and that it wouldn't stick with the book much. But, honestly the few changes they made only made it that much better. It was a really good adaption to the book and a really good movie. All the actors they choose really did an amazing job and were perfect for their characters. I can't wait for the sequels.

My mom and I read all of the books. WE fell in love with the books and both couldn't wait to see the movie. I pre-order our tickets so there would be no problems. WE both went into the movie with no expectations. I look at the book and movie as TWO WHOLE different ART pieces. And after seeing it, all i can say is WOW!!!! AMAZING! I LOVED IT, my mom loved it. and we would soo see it again, if we could afford it! remeber you just can't go into a movie taken from a book and think they will be exactly the same!! you just cant. Plus look at them as two different art pieces!!!

I thought the acting was awful for the first half of the movie..the vamps looked bizarre and akward. edward reminded be of johnny depp in edward sissorhands. I will say as the movie went it seemed like the actors finally realized they were going to be in a blockbuster movie and not a bad high school play. I love the books and the storyline so anyway I can relive edward and bella I will take it, but the next movie needs to be much better. I think Stephanie should finish writing Midnight Sun before going back to the big screen.

My 14 yr old granddaughter introduced me to the books. I'm 53 and we both really liked the movie and the special effects were also pretty good and the acting was good too. Usually i don't like the movie after I have read the book. Not this one it was just as good as the book. Great movie for the age of young teen and up. Pretty clean movie as far as language,violence and sex scenes.
