This movie was AMAZING! My friends and I went to see it, I felt myself falling in love with Edwards character!I can't stop talking about it. My favorite movie of all time, it's one of those movies you can watch again and again. I'd say the movie would be more for younger kids and women. Older men, I don't think would appreciate much of the love story behind it.

The book twilight was wonderful. However, the direction in this movie was horrible. The movie did not flow well. It would be very hard for someone who did not read the book to follow this movie. Its very sad to see that the actors had such poor direction. Robert Patterson and the rest of the actor were decent but they all suffered by the horrible director. If they do proceed to make films of the rest of the books, i truly hope they get a new director and producers.

this movie was amazing! i thought it followed the book quite well and im glad that they took lines from the book and put it into the movie!! i cant wait till it comes out on dvd and im dying to see it again!!

I was not sold on Robert Pattison as Edward prior to the movie, but after seeing it twice in two days, I'm sold. WOW! The movie was very believable, though low budget (which we all new was the case so doesn't count in the against column). The leigons of fans of the books are going to enjoy it because it's "their" story, but my son loved it and he hasn't read the books. I wil probably see it 2-3 more times while it is at the theater and will be first in line for the DVD! On to New Moon...

I think it followed the book pretty well; as best as possible squeezed into 2hours, they hit most of the high points while giving you a good idea of the characters personalities. The acting could have been a little better but hey they were playing teenagers, I guess it was an accurate portrayal. Very entertaining!

I was highly disappointed with this movie. It did not relate to the book as i was expecting. The casting was very poor, as well as the acting. The cinematography was quite poor, and it was clear that this movie was made on a low budget.

Ok, well I knew that it would not be better than the book. As everyone should have, movies never outdue the original crative mind of an author. However for a book-to-movie adaptation, I thought it was prett good. Some of the effects got on my nerves a bit. But overall I thought it was a pretty good movie, I am going to go see it again soon. lol. I LOVED the baseball scene!

I was not one of the many who read the Books. I saw the movie with someone who had. Both of us thought the movie was very good. It kept my interest the whole way through not at all watching the clock or wondering 'when will it end?" I noticed and liked very much how the movie was shot in subdued colors rather than brilliant vibrant ones. In that I live in the Phoenix, AZ area even those colors were more subdued than in reality. I absolutely loved this movie and will recommend it to anyone wanting to spend their hard earned movie dollars wisely.

I've read the books of course, but was really interested in what my girlfriend would say when she went to the movie with me having no idea what the story was about having not read them.
I assumed there would be some creative license with the script writing but I didn't mind the changes. The thoughtful camera angles, artistic film washes and montages made it feel extremely artsy, I dug that. I thought the sarcastic humor and slapstick notions fit well with Stephanie Meyer's original intentions.
The special effects were super fun, and the music fit in well with a Teen's First love.
My girlfriend who went with me thought it was an entertaining movie, and to truthful it made her want to read the book.

I took my tweens to see the movie. One had read the books the other had not. The one who had not was hooked and absolutely loved it. The other daughter and I were a little disappointed that they had left out what we thought were important character traits. We do hope that if there are sequels that they improve the Cullens make up. Carlyle needed help! And better special effects would be nice. Overall we enjoyed the movie and will probably see it again!!

I thought the chemistry between Edward and Bella was great. No movie ever lives up to the book, but it caught the essence of the book. I think when they do the next movie, the budget will be much higher so the special effects will be better. All in all, I really liked it!

I will give my 15 y/o credit - after sighing and moaning throughout the movie - she admitted 'it was really kind of cheesey!" as we walked out...it was actually more fun watching the 'twi-hards' responses to every scene than coping with the low-budget special effects - hopefully they've made enuf this opening weekend to afford a real special effects team - ?is lucasfilms/skywalker ranch available for 'new moon'?

Yes the movie was good.. No it didn't stick exactly to the book but isn't that why we go to see movies to see the director/writers interpretation of the book. We all have our preconcieved notions of what we would expect, but that is part of the movie going experience. Kudos to all. Was a good adaptation in my opinion.

I have read all four books. I was very pleased with the movie. My daughter and all of her friends loved it and the adults did too! Of course they can't put everything that is in the book in the movie, but I thought they did a good job with casting and with the portions of the book that they chose. Who wouldn't fall in love with Edward? It makes me want to be 17 again!

If I had never read the books, I probably would have LOVED the movie...in fact I am almost positive that I would have loved the movie, but I have read the books. There were scenes added to the movie that were not in the book and scenes deleted from the movie-that were in the book. I realize that to make the movie better, they had to do that, but I felt the chemistry between Bella and Edward was more prevalent in the book. Overall....I would say READ the book over seeing the movie-if you want to BETTER version of the story...although the movie was good too.

I have read many books turned movie. I go to the movie when it comes out after reading the book and I always go to the movie with knowing it WILL NOT be anything like the book or simply put too much information is actually not put in the movie. Twilight was great, they kept well with the true storyline of the book and I loved Kristen and Robert. Catherine Hardwicke did a fabulous job. I am extremely excited that Twilight did well financially this weekend so New Moon can be created on the silver screen. The movie was well delivered, however, I wish that Alice, Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie had more screen time.

I have not read any of the books, so im strictly going of the movie. The movie overall was great. I dont know how well, or poorly it follows with the book, but my girlfriend said it followed really well. the speacial effects are good overall but they look like their on and invisible wire when they jump very far, (which they are haha) its just they dont look vey believable. You can clearly tell a difference between people and vampires in the movie just from the make up. and they look awesome in the daylight.
I would recomend this movie to almost anyone, the language is clean, it has a great story, and it has the added bonus of vampires and werewolves. Some parts are a little bloody though.

The movie is just what it promised to be, an enjoyable reenactment of the novel. Its so much fun, I saw it three days in a row and can't wait to go back- and I am way too old for that!
I really just need to emphasize that you MUST read the book before just seeing the movie or you will so not appreciate it. There are many small moments that would go unnoticed and misunderstood. Please read first and then go and enjoy- again and again!

The movie was exactly what I expected but I didn't expect much. I thought the acting was good but the special effects could have been better. The make up was AWFUL!!! Still, as a huge Twighlight fan I will definitely watch it again at home and am eagerly awaiting a New Moon film. Hopefully with a larger budget, they can have better effects and hire a PROFESSIONAL make up artist. I would definitely leave the casting alone though - they did a great job with that.

The scene sequences didn't flow very well. I felt no anticipation for the key parts that I felt when reading the book. The trailer was amazing and made the movie seem more magical than it was.
The actual baseball game scene was great and the rest of the movie should have been more like it.
There were too many lagging sequences.
With that said, the actors played their parts well enough.
I hope the Twilight generates enough money to ensure the sequel is better.

it was one of the most amazing movies ever. i adore the love between them and the 2 actors did such a good job at portraying it. edward is amazing and the movie just made me fall in love with him even more. I also loved how director didn't take alot (if any) artistic license on what happens in the story and how it happens. It was almost exactly how I pictured it in my head soo I was very happy to see it all right in front of me! the movie was in one word- INCREDIBLE

I took my daughter and six of her friends to see it. They were all very gitty over Edward and Jacob. For me the movie had some very cute and funny parts along with the suspense and love story which was very different from your average "love story" movie.

I have never read the books but did thoroughly enjoy the movie, and from the squealing that occurred whenever Edward came in view, I think the teeanage girls also liked it. Personally, I'm not so sure I like the message about a teenage girl being so enamored with a boy that she can't bear to live without him, but if I put that aside I really enjoyed the movie.

i think that if i hadnt read all 4 of the books and went and saw this movie I would have been drawn away from reading the books in general. i think the movie got the plot of this first book and it was a lenghty movie but that doesnt mean it included every great detail that stephanie meyer included in her books. charecter developement was lacking and it just seemed like there were awkward moments in the begining. if i could change anything about the movie i would have them take more out of the charecter personas and create the proper atmosphere and have certain things happen in the actual places. overall i appreciated the movie because i am such a fan of the books but it just wasnt all i hoped it to be.

I highly recommend this movie! I knew the book would be better than the movie. We were a party of 10 girls & women. My regrets were: the movie didn't delve into the characters.; the relationship between Alice and Edward wasn't there; the mind reading between them, the blood scene in the science class, Edward's over-protectiveness of Bella. These scenes should have been in the movie not the new scenes. The ending, though, was magic & sweet. The audience was hesitant to leave while the credits were displayed. They were discussing the movie & watching the pictures. My daughter & sister saw it twice. My husband is coming with me when I see it again.
