I loved this movie! I have also read the book, and while the book is, of course, better, the movie is still great! They did what they could & still made it waay better then i would of expected. I think everyone, including people who havent read the book should go see it. And if you have read the book, you must keep an open mind, not everyone visualizes everything the same way. Cant wait for the second one ;p

This movie is AWESOME. I did not read the book before going to the theater, but still truly enjoyed this movie. Bella and Edward are fantastic and their love for each other brings forth their bond to each other.
I will definitely be buying this one when it comes out on DVD. I wasn't ready for the movie to be over when it ended. I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

I think the movie was a decent adaptation of the book. I think some of the more important scenes were left out, and I don't think Rob P. portrayed Edward as I pictured him. (charming, suave, DAZZLING!!) Yes, he is attractive, but he was angry and did not appear to just get caught up in the moment like he did in the book. I agree the special effects were not great, and more Cullens is a necessity! Regardless, I was still happy just to see it on the big screen.
I will go see New Moon, and hopefully any other they make. However, I do hope they listen to the critiques and make changes that are necessary to stay true to the series! In any event, I will support anything Stephenie Meyer!!!
PLEASE FINISH MIDNIGHT SUN!!! =D

This movie was amazing and truly did do the book justice. I honestly do not see how people can say it was bad or that they were disappointed. The movie, for the most part, followed the book. The main difference was Bella's thoughts were not really portrayed in the movie like in the book, but who wants to watch a 15 minute scene of Bella dreaming of Edward. Even the chemistry between Bella and Edward was amazing, you could see how much they wanted and cared for eachother. I loved this movie and I will see it more than the two times that I have already seen it. Now I cannot wait until the sequel!

I read the book Twilight in 3 days. I was hooked. Im 22 &haven't read a book that I am so obsessed w/ in a very long time. I was looking fwd to see Bella & Edward on screen. The movie was good, but I feel that it could have been better.Going into the movie I knew that moviesbased on novels r always a bit of a disapointment 2 readers. There is so much detail in the book that can't be inc- its more of a <3story btwn bella &edward-the movie didnt portray theirobsession Some scenes weren't as good as I hoped them to be. If I didnt read I think that I might be a little confused about the story. It lacked bckrd info that u learn from readingI would def see it again. I hope with all the $ being made filmthe next movie will be alot better.

My only qualm with the movie version of Meyer's book is that it is lacking two key scenes: when Bella' faints in Science class and when Edward blocks Bella's chevy so Mike can ask her to the prom. These are not only two of my favorite scenes, but they are instrumental in establishing both Bella and more importantly Edward's character! I also thought more money should have been spent on the special effects. However, all-in-all, Rosenberg did an excellent job infusing some of Meyer's more memorable diction within a great adaptation. A most see for all those romantic at heart.

We loved the movie!!! My daughters and I had read the books but my husband had not but he did enjoy the movie. Robert was great as Edward and a big hit with my daughters!! Can't wait for New Moon! Bring on the wolves!

I didn't read any of the books and didn't really plan on seeing this movie but I saw it and now I'm gonna be hooked for life! I cannot wait to read all the books now!!! Edward is very desirable! He is sexy and romantic in a weird way! A love story for the young people go into this movie with a open mind! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!

I really loved this movie. I have read all of the books several times and it was the closest book to movie that I have ever seen. I can't wait until the next one comes out and I really hope that Stephenie finished Midnight Sun. The 12 chapters that she wrote were fantastic.

I didn't know what to expect - I hadn't read the book yet. I love good vampire movies and I wasn't disappointed. Cinematography was great, acting was great, story line was great. Very different movie. Can't wait for the sequel and I will be reading the book.

I know everyone who has read the books has been waiting to see if the movie would live up to our expectations... well I saw it I thought it was amazing!! Robert Pattinson was so great as Edward and he made the whole movie. All the characters were cast greatly and I think everyone should go see this movie!!! It is AMAZING!

This movie was all that I had hoped for. I didn't expect it to be exactly like the book but it was very close. Those who go in with higher expectations probably will not enjoy it as much. I thought all the actors did a great job. And can't wait for the next one! I will go see it again and will tell my friends about it. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a movie with action and a love story woven together.

The first time was good, but I would have to say I fell into the typical trap of someone who loved the books..and was probably way to keyed up for the midnight show. I thought that the movie cut out some of the development in the relationships. There were a few scenes with Edward that the director really should have re-worked (he was clearly overthinking his acting) and the 1900's Cullen flashback was hokey!
Overall, I thought the casting was very good. Rob P just needs a little work relaxing. I left the midnight showing feeling somewhat let down. I went to see it again and enjoyed it tremendously. I am sure I will see it a few more times!!

Having read the books, and all of the awful reviews, I was worried about hating this movie. While I was glad to have been warned about the low budget this film used, you can only really tell when he's jumping through the trees. Yes, it's a 500 page book condensed into 2 hours and yes, you will miss out on some scenes but the characters are well played out and it's a good starting point. Maybe little more emphasis on their undying love for one another but all in all it was very very good.

OH MY GOD!!! all I've thought about for weeks was Twilight, and when I saw it, it lived up to all my expectations and is now the basis of what I look for in every amazing movie. I couldn't believe how good a job all the cast and crew did on this movie. My heart goes out to all of them, Kristen, Rob, Catherine etc... You have no idea how much my friends and I appreciate all the hard work and effort you put in! I look forward to New Moon! The stunts were wonderul, and Kristen and Rob's chemistry is amazing. They fit Edward and Bella to a tee. I definitely give Twilight two thumbs up, five stars, and whatever else you can give as a sign of approval...

Although it skipped a lot of the intense scenes between Bella and Edward, Twilight was perfect. Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewert were great for the parts, and it was easy to imagine them really being Edward and Bella. This would make an awesome date movie- action for the guys, romance for the girls, and comedy for everyone. You have to see twilight!

Although there were several things left out of the movie that were in the book, this movie was terrific and kept pretty true to the book. We wanted to turn around and watch it all over again once it was over! I could watch this movie over and over again. Can't wait for New Moon!!!

I have read all the books and was very impressed with the movie, so much so that I saw the movie at noon, then went back to watch it again that same evening! Cam Gigandet was terrifying as James. Victoria was very believable too - as was Laurent, although he was so good looking I just wanted him to bite me. I really liked all the cast except I couldn't decide if I liked Robert Pattison as Edward or not. His hair and eyebrows were distracting, but he was alright. I loved whatever they did to make his skin sparkle - that was awesome. I will definitely want to buy the DVD and I'll be waiting impatiently for the next movie!

I am a big fan of all 4 books in the Twilight saga, and thought that this movie was a great adaptation. I am not such a purist that I'm turned off by the script not 100% following the book, but on the same coin I feel that they could have added one or two scenes to help cement some of the background. That said, I have already recommended this movie to friends and fans alike, and am planning to see it at least one more time in the theater. I can't WAIT for the rest of the books to be adapted to the big screen!!

You will love this movie. I enjoyed the series and this movie is true to the first book. Some scenes I had pictured differently (Edward's sparkling in the sun, for instance. In the movie it looks as if he is coated with sparkle powered, but his skin is not as reflective as it was in the book). I'm looking forward to seeing this movie again.

I loved the book, but the movie was just ok. Robert Pattinson was the perfect Edward, but at times his speech was awkward. I think he was having trouble covering his British accent. In addition, the special effects were pretttty bad. But otherwise good movie!

i loved this movie it was amazing. i would say that children old enough to read this book and older are the only ones who should watch this movie because of a couple of things that i wouldnt recomend for children. other than that it was perfect and was easy to follow for the people who havent read the book. i almost cried when it was over so that tells you how much i liked it so yeah. i wished that jacob was in it more but he wasnt in there much in the book so i understand that but trust me you will be happy with this movie!

This was a good movie i would see it again. I Have read all the books in this series several times and was sure i would dislike the movie because the book were so wonderfully written; however i found the movie to stay true to the books for the most part. I will say that I found the effects a little ... well i've seen better... I do still rate this movie 5 stars for the story and the overall portrayal of the book. If you haven't seen it give it a chance this twilight adaptation was done well.

I think the actor choices were excellent. There were some moments that actually made me laugh, I do wish there was a lil more intensity as it is a vampire movie but because the way it was done I was comfortable taking my daughter to it, so ultimately I was not upset about this either.
I wanted to write more but there is to low of a limit on characters

This movie was classic! It was new and refreshing, the story line was unique and the plot was exciting. Anyone who has read the books will love this movie. You definitely would not get as much from the movie if you haven't previously read the novel. There were a lot of "inside jokes" that only the reader would understand. Anyone who hasn't read the book is missing out. The characters selected for the movie were perfect and exactly how I had imagined them. Yes, several things from the book were left out of the movie, but that always happens for time purposes. The important thing is, that the movie was as romantic and exciting as the book and I can't wait to see the movie for New Moon

Robert Pattison did an excellent job acting! Since I had read all four of the books, I was aware of all of Edward's powers and how hard it was for him to be around Bella. He also portrayed the frustration that you knew Edward had in the book because he couldn't hear Bella's thoughts. I am a new fan. I am a 36 year old mother of four, and I wish that this series of books would continue on. I hope they make a movie for each of the four books!!!!
