It helped so much that I read Midnight Sun off of Stephenie Meyer's web site. It really gave an idea of what Robert was thinking while playing Edward. I didn't exactly like that it deviated from the book so much, but I understand why it was done.

i drove from palm springs to torrance to meet up with my girlfriend to watch this movie i wasn't interested in, but when it started oh man it was HELLA good i watched it again the next day at my hometown and now i'm gonna get the books to read the whole story,i never thought it can b this good

You definately should read the book, you get little insiders while watching the movie (bella's thoughts, why they do the things they do) and it makes it more funny. I loved the movie. It was different from the book, but it was a good different for those people that "don't have the time" to sit down and read. Once I started I couldn't stop, I read all four books in a week! They were excellent just like the movie, and hopefully movies! I went to the midnight premier of twilight and then went again 1 day after. that's how much I liked it. :)

I was one of the losers who saw the movie at 12 on thursday night (or friday morning) and sacrificed my sleep. It was worth it. The very next night (Friday night) I saw it again and it was even better. I enjoyed the sound of Edward's voice better, and I noticed Victoria in the prom dancing. The movie was excellent and fantastic. I might go see it another time and I am going to buy it when it comes out on DVD.

I liked the movie...like not love. The acting killed me. The relationship between edward and bella was...awkward. I felt awkward watching them in every moment they shared especially the intimate ones. The actors didn't interact the way bella and edward were supposed to. The two characters were supposed to be drawn to each other. There was supposed to be an unbreakable bond between them. Instead they looked almost forced, there wasn't that passion that stephenie meyer had created in the book. Over all it was a good movie, but when broken down and analyzed...not so much. I am interested in finding out how the other movies do.

Twilight is the best movie i have aver seen. if you were to ask my family i only get obsessed with certain things, for twilight i read all four books and wanted to see the movie. when i saw it it was wonderful, absolutely wonderful. now im obsessed with twilight!!!!! i liked everything about it. i love the cast!(especially robert pattinson who plays edwar) & (and i really liked how they chose cast members that were not as famous because if they choose people like that viewers see the acters as the character. this IS the best movie i ever saw. the way the have effects and the way they did everything is great! i suggest that you see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twilight was the best movie ever. Rob and Kristen were great. The only thing that could've changed was the transitions from one scene to the next. They were abrupt and not so smooth. Thats all i have to say because other than that Twilight was what i expected. Watch it!!!

Good job on staying as close to the book as possible...that is a difficult feat. I wish it could have been longer, only because there were scenes that could not be played out in a movie in 2 hours time.

The movie was a fairly good representation of the book. I miss the humor in the book; all of Bella's mishaps, her tendency to forget to breathe and sometimes over-exuberance when they kiss. Alice should have had more of a presence and I was hoping for more from Edward's perspective. I love Pattinson and Stewart as Edward and Bella! I wish the dialogue were more substantial, more enlightening for those who have not read the books.
Sounds like I didn't enjoy the movie, but I did. I will always love this movie, but I will always want more! I'm eagerly anticipating New Moon!

I LOVED the books and thought that the movie would never live up to them, BUT IT WAS AWESOME!!! Catherine Hardwicke, Melissa Rosenberg, and all of the actors should be very proud of this film. I just want to watch it over and over again. A+ in my book. I loved that it followed the book so closely. Job well done. GO SEE IT NOW!!!

I thought screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg did a good job taking key parts of the book and making sure they were included in the movie. It would be hard to get it all in there. I thought Rob P. and Kristen S. were perfect as Edward and Bella. Jasper and Alice's casting was spot on as well! I can't wait to see it again!

If you have not read the books your in for a surprise. I was one of many dads who attended the midnight opening event with my 13 year old daughter . And I must admit it was overall a good movie the young stars shine through and are able to carry off their given roles with relative ease to make this believable. I don't know how true to the book this film is but it is a must see. I can't wait for the next edition of what seems to be a great series. I'm sure I'll be going back to see it again with my 9 year old son.

I was not in the least disappointed, as sometimes a book-to-movie can tend to leave you. My only complaint is that it needed to be longer!
I'm a nearly 40 mom and I have enjoyed the books immensely. I took my 6 year old daughter to see it (upon her request!), she loved it too and thought it was "sooo romantic and exciting!"
Now she wants me to read the books to her!
We can't wait for the next movie! (my husband is now a fan as well!)
Hurry up and get that thing done! LOL!

i am a hardcore twilight serires fan and i was nervous the movie would ruin it, but although it was not nearly as good as the book it was still amazing and i want to see it again. They did a really good job with picking the actors and if you love the book, or even if you don't you will still adore the movie (:

I think the acting was lacking and there were some awkward, empty moments. Poor character development. There were some very corny lines that were quite laughable. The scene where Bella walks into the forest and Edward follows her was my least favorite.

This was a wonderful translation of the book. I love the romance between Bella and Edward, and will probably go to see the movie again. I was happy the whole next day because of it. My husband even enjoyed it, though he didn't expect to (as a guy and all that). So it's great for everyone, but especially the ladies.

I am a fan of the vampire stories of our past. However, Stephenie Meyer changing all of our basic knowledge of the mythology of vampires leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. I am disappointed. For one, VAMPIRES DO NOT HAVE "DIAMOND" LIKE SKIN. Two, VAMPIRES DO NOT HAVE REFLECTIONS IN MIRRORS. Three, VAMPIRES CANNOT BE IN SUNLIGHT. The fact that some new author thinks that we should disregard hundreds of years of mythology is absolutely dillusional and ridiculous. The movie was quite like the book. Blah and Blah... I think Twilight and all the idiotic pre-teens that follow this series should be thrown out with the trash. The love story is decent but the rest is a crock.

Even if you havent read the series or even one of the books the way they put together the scense and information was perfectly made for anyone to understand. My mom didn't know anything about the book or the movie when she went to go and see it and she absolutely loved it. And that is saying somthing since she doesnt even like vampires.

Twilight was amazing! They did leave out some parts but they were not significant to the whole theme overall. They reached the idea of the eternal love and it was so beautiful and romantic! Uber chick flick but some guys liked it as well, good action scenes and pretty people! Excuse me, pretty is an understatement I mean extremely gorgeous! Twilight was amazing! I am definently going to see it much more than once!
