So Ive seen Twilight 2x now. The first time I saw it all I did was compare it to the book so I was kind of dissapointed. However, the 2nd time around was a bit better. I still am dissapointed that there wasn't more dialogue between Edward and Bella. . I felt the movie didnt quite capture the banter they had and I wish there was more of that vs showing the evil vamp trio attack some guy on a dinky boat.. but I understand the need to appeal to a wider audience base by adding in some action scenes. Overall I really did like the movie and since Im so addicted to this saga I cannot wait for New Moon and the rest of the movies.

I'm not familiar with the book or the series, however my 12 year old daughters are. They loved the movie and are excited about the next installation New Moon.
Personally I liked the new genre of vampires and how the movie refused to follow traditional American films that are so predictable now-a-days. I was pleasantly surprised that Edward does not turn Bella into a vampire, forgoing the obvious fix to their relationship dilemma. The dialogue was choppy and awkward at times and some of the characters weren't as developed as I would have liked, I would have sat through a full 3 hours to allow the movie to take it's time and fully tell the story.
Overall I would recommend it and am looking forward to the sequel.

I think that Twilight was great! I read all four books and really enjoyed the series. This movie wasn't everything I imagined it would be, but I still found that it was extremely entertaining. They left out a few scenes from the book, of course. I also did not particularly like the scene where Edward shows his skin in the sunlight. The special effects made him look a little sweaty from far away. But the rest of the movie was great! I have seen it twice and enjoyed both viewings. I definitely recommend this movie for everyone who's read the book. (If you haven't read the book, the movie may be a bit confusing.)

My daughter and I went to see the movie together and we both came out in love with Edward. I didn't get to read the book first like she did but we both loved the movie. The actors were superb. The chemistry between Edward and Bella was fantastic. I am now reading the book just so I can get more information on the whole story that alot of times the movie just doesn't have enough time to do. The movie was great and there didn't have to be any sex , violence or blood, guts & gore. It was refreshing. See Hollywood you can still make a great movie and not have all that crap in it !!!! Go see it you won't be sorry.

I've never read the book and I even have never heard about it, but any way, the movie is absolutely amazing !!!!! I am 28, but it made me feel myself like teenage girl! If you really wish to touch sincere and genuine feelings, this is movie right for you!!!!

I was quite impressed with this book to screen adaptation. I was skeptical that it could be done in just a 2 hour period and was pleasantly surprised when all the important parts of the book were in the movie. Of course there were some liberties taken (added scenes not from the book), but it helped to keep the story flowing and not get boring. I'm definitely seeing it two or three more times before it leaves theaters.

I thought the movie was good, but not great. A lot of the parts were done really wrong and feel like they didn't capture the magic of the cullens. They made Edward seem weird and a lot of the lines in the book that made him so irresistable they didnt even put in the movie. I thought they did Bella very well but they didn't go into enough depth with Edward. It's hard to capture the amazingness of twilight in an hour and a half but i think they could have done better. It was clearly still awesome just because it was twilight though. can't wait for new moon!!

I just got back from seeing the movie for the first time. Everyone warned me ahead of time that the special effects were horrible; they were right. The "sparkly" Edward, well, he just looked like he was covered in sweat and glitter. And the running, fighting, and climbing looked as though the film was just sped up.
I'm glad I saw it because it was nice to see the characters come to life. I hope that Summit decides to put up the money to make New Moon what it should be. If I hadn't read the books, I'd probably been disappointed with the movie. (I'll still by the movie when it comes out on DVD.)

This was a great movie.
I thought it was a little slow from the book, and moved to fast when they fell in love, but out of it all it was what everyone could want in a movie.
Action, Romance, sappy stuff.
I was afraid to see it, thinking that it would ruin all the books (which if you havent read I recommend you get all four ASAP) but it was very close to it and I am awaiting the sequel.

This movie was good but I probably would not have liked it as much if I had not read the book first. I knew all the characters and either already liked (or loved to hate them). The book is so well written that you know what is going on with all of the characters and even get to look into Edward and Bella's thoughts. Some of the plot probably seemed a little thin and the intense romance from the book got lost in the movie for the same reason.

The movie was great! Twilight was notably rushed. Leaving out the blood type scene was a mistake that is one of the first times Edward really touches Bella it also shows a weakness that Bella has she is squeamish around blood. Keep in mind that Edward is Mr. Smooth pls keep Rob and dress him better. Running & climbing was cheesy. The meadow scene should have been computer enhanced Rob has amazing bone structure that would have come through. The script writer should do some research before taking a pen to paper just a suggestion. All of you who have not scene Twilight I urge you to give it a chance it is really a good film.

I wasexited to see this movie. I told my husband that I really hoped hollywood didn't ruin the movie...but they did. Scene's were meshed together, some scenes didn't happen in correct order. If you read the books, you'd know why the actors showed such emotion in their faces, but IF you did not read the books & just went to see the movie, it looked really stupid to you, as it did to my hubby. Internal dialogue would have been good in this instance. The actors chosen for the movie, are absolutely perfect for the roles given to them. Its too bad.. really is a good story.

I pray that this movie grosses enough so that the special effects in the next movie are much better. Then, the characters and storyline could really come to light. I was also perturbed by the references to "monkey men" which was really inaccurate. I would only recommend this movie to those who read the book(s). I thought the movie was very true to the books, and the books are "vampire light" and so is the movie. I'm not saying that in a bad way... It's just not hardcore horror. I thought Edward was excellent, he played it very well. But Bella, sheesh... She wasn't so WEAK in the book! I hated the twitchy way she played her! Great bit of light entertainment!

I have read all of Stephenie Meyer's books and they really did well from the book to the movie. Unbelievable!! I can't wait for them to make movies for all the books! First of all, I've read all of the books in the Twilight series twice and I was really excited for the movie. I knew that it probably wouldn't be as good as the books because the movie never is. Saying that, I really liked it because it followed the plot of the book really well. Even though it was kind of choppy in the beginning, the end was really good. I'm excited for New Moon!!!!!!! :D

There is a reason teens love this movie. Good girl finds bad boy irresitible. The movie could have used more character development, but remember this was written for teen girls.It is a good movie to take your teen daughters to. Where Harry Potter attracted teen boys, Twilight is the "Harry Potter" for teen girls. For Moms...wait for it on DVD unless your idea of a good movie is hearing all the teen girls sigh everytime the leading man appears.

At my age (66) I thought I would not enjoy. However I was plesantly surprised. It was a movie all could enjoy. A little slow at some points. However totally worth seeing.
